Crickets at night 10 hours to fall asleep fast. Recording of a peaceful summer night in Georgia, very relaxing, recommended for meditation, relaxation or study purposes. Click here to download in MP3 now: http://art.acerting.com/album/sleep-and-relaxation-nature-sounds-crickets-summer-night Crickets sound is the most typical and soothing sound of the forest sounds in summer. In this video you will listen in High-Fidelity audio the crickets chirping at night in summer to help you to sleep. BTW, I give you useful information about crickets to break a mith: they chirp with their wings, not their legs! :-o The sound emitted by crickets is commonly referred to as chirping; the scientific name is stridulation. Usually only the male crickets chirp, however some females crickets do as well. The sound is emitted by the stridulatory organ, a large vein running along the bottom of each wing, covered with "teeth" (serration) much like a comb. The chirping sound is created by running the top of one wing along the teeth at the bottom of the other wing. As the male cricket does this, he also holds the wings up and open, so that the wing membranes can act as acoustical sails. It is a popular myth that the cricket chirps by rubbing its legs together. ( Wikipedia ) I hope you'll enjoy it. Use headphones for a better experience. Sleep Well :) Relaxing Music channel. Videos every week with nature sounds for your yoga meditation. Does anyone use this for there children? I used to use a soundbar with crickets but the batteries died so I switched to this for my 9 month old daughter. She sleeps soundly from 8 to 8 and she loves this sound loop.

This reminds me when I was a kid and lived in Utah. And my dad would always say that crickets chirping would mean that there is rain coming.

I'm from Mississippi and this is exactly what it sounds like to be outside in the summer. I can just feel the stifling humidity! Gotta love the deep South in the summer. Several months long free sauna. Lol

Somehow makes me feel safe and sound. I guess its just the continuous beauty of the crickets singing. It's a very good sleep soundtrack

Reminds me of nights spent around a campfire deep in the Cranberry backcountry here in WV. Good for the soul.

Is it me or does cricket chirping make me relaxed because it reminds me of cool summer night when my cousins came over to swim. I miss summer. ;-;

Ah, the nostalgia! I love hearing this every time I'm at home. My favorite thing about living on a farm :)

I put this on my Alexa right by my head. Then I turn a fan on for the real summer night experience. Even when I don't want to relax, listening to this makes my shoulders unknot and everything in my busy mind just shuts up to listen.

I decided to listen to this tonight because I wanted to go to bed in the most peaceful way I could. I’m about to be 19 years old and I’m an Eagle Scout. When I was in BoyScouts the first time I went camping was horrific I was scared and crying. As soon as I layer down it was quiet.... but it wasn’t. There were sounds everywhere, the sounds that are here in this video. They just call you, they make you feel like you’re not alone and they there will always be someone there. That is how I feel asleep that night, just laying there and listening to all of the sounds around me. It was amazing and beautiful. On every campout from that one on that is how I went to sleep that night, listening. I’m in college now and I don’t have the time to go camping anymore but I wanted to bring the feeling with me and go to sleep hearing these sounds. So I Thank you, I Thank you for making this video and for posting it to YouTube for myself as well as anyone who is listening to it to enjoy. Thank you for reading this and have s good night.

Sounds great I've had 8 months of winter close my eye's crank the woodstove it's just like summer if only I could have some grass under my bare feet it would be perfection.
You were playing minecraft on a summer night at 2 am

There is nothing like crickets to let you know "everything is going to be all right".
Hello Zen (17 days ago)
Despite the countless times I’ve fallen asleep to the real crickets, hearing this reminds me of one specific time. When I was 6 and it was a really hot summer night so my mom opened my window and I fell asleep to the crickets, or as my mom calls it “swamp music”. Pretty simple memory but it’s the fact that I was still in my childhood home and my parents were still together and everything was okay. It’s makes me sad because I took all of it for granted, even the small things, like the crickets. I haven’t heard them since we left.
Tubetopfan1 (16 days ago)
Collectively, they just sound like a bunch of crickets but if you listen V E R Y carefully, you'll hear a million little voices singing out, "When you wish upon a star....."

Reminds me of when I lived in Canada right next to the prairie, all you could hear at night was crickets and the occasional coyote in your garden

Those crickets don't have a southern accent. Fake Georgia crickets.

Aww thank you to the person who recorded this, this reminds me of so long ago when I was playing outside with my friends at a young age, no electronics. Now when ever I hang out with someone they always think I’m boring because I don’t have Wi-fi, I just want to be a kid again and go outside....

So is it the katydid's making the "cha-cha-cha" sound while the continuous "chirp-chirp-chirp-chirp" are the crickets? Because I hear two very distinctive sounds.
alexthefox553 (1 month ago)
I love this, I live right in front of an abandoned house and all you can hear from there are the crickets quietly making their noises. I haven't gone in front of my house at night in a while because I'm in my damn Computer to much. But, this helps a lot so thank you!

I'm literally comparing this to the chirping going on in my lawn right now, the frequency seems to be odd in this video, but still does the job :)
Like if you are here because Coop was listening to this in Interstellar.

this reminds me of my grandma house . in the summers we would go to her place , her house is at the center of a garden . at night me, my brother, my cousins , uncle and my grandma would sit outside in the yard in front of the house and would talk to each other , and just have a great time . there was a very loud but pleasant symphony of the crickets who were living in the garden . we would just listen to it and enjoy . we were so happy just to be there in that moment . unfortunately my grandma has passed away , and now I am far away in another country . and this beautiful sound reminds me of her and my uncle and somehow makes me peaceful .

I have very bad SAD (winter depression) and I often look back at summer memories. Being in the dead of winter where I am and nothing but cold, lonely, dark days; I remember years back when I would catch fireflies and stay up after dark with my friends. Our neighborhood would play kick the can in the street and we would jump on the trampoline. Last summer my friend and I decided to sleep on my trampoline on a summer night. We ended up talking the whole night and shared very sad personal things. As we were both in tears, we lay quiet for a second. This video sounds exactly like it did that one night I'll never forget. Thank you.
