They won't sell unless someone else is willing to pay $12.05 and wanting to buy, at least, 140.

Thanks for the lesson. So what is it called when - say there's a company waiting some potentially good news. So you say: "If this stock RISES another $0.50 to $25.50, then buy the stock." What type of order is this?
ClayTrader (20 days ago)
That'd be an advanced order type. Maybe I'll do a video on that at some point.

ClayTrader (29 days ago)
Someone is always willing to sell.... for the right price.
shayna heningburg (1 month ago)
What do you mean by you only want to risk 10 cent? I got loss during the explanation of market stop loss. I hope you see the comment, I know this video is 2 years old.
ClayTrader (1 month ago)
You can lose money when trading stocks. so you need to focus on the risk that is associated with any trade you take/think about taking.
Ryan Tek (1 month ago)
So if you put out a stop loss limit order at 24.90 and the market jumps under your limit like the 24.85 example you gave, can you change the limit order to a market order at any time? Or are you stuck with that position until it reaches 24.90 again, however long that might be? I like your videos too btw, thanks
ClayTrader (1 month ago)
You can change it anytime you'd like.
John McKay (1 month ago)
Why do i need a broker? Normally you walk into a shop, see what you like, pick it off the shelf, walk over to the check out and purchase it. I don't want to pay someone else to buy it for me and then they charge me a fee?

This broker charges $0 in fees https://claytrader.com/videos/m1-finance-too-good-to-be-true-no-theyre-awesome/

ClayTrader (1 month ago)
+orlandomc You want to be able to "start young" for sure. But in order to be most effective at it for the rest of your life, you need a strategy for your personal finances first. That's why I sent you that link.
orlandomc (1 month ago)
ClayTrader thank you so much :) I’m just looking to start young so when I’m older I guess it may not be as much of a stress to learn about it. My dad also used to trade but I wanted to try lesnr for myself. Your videos are useful in explaining I can’t lie, good work

Boy I wish I could talk to you. I’m completely clueless about all of this but I would like to buy some Nintendo shares with some spare money I have, but I don’t want to do anything else and not even look at it for another twenty years or so, because they’re my favourite company. But it seems you have to know so much before a simple thing like that is possible... I live in Europe and I don’t know how to do this, nobody seems to be able to answer my question. Is it just not that simple? Everything points at multiple investments and stuff and I just want this one simple thing *sigh*

Just a FYI to the public. If your thinking about investing using the Robbinhood app. Beware. They stole money out of my account and will not reimburse me on a trade even though I showed them evidence and tons of proof. It was only $85.00 not a lot but had I been investing in the thousands like some investors it would have hurt. No room to explain what happened here. I'm filling a formal complaint along with my evidence with the security exchange commission along with a complaint with the BBB in they're state. There customer service stinks, the only way to get a hold of the firm is through email and there agents are very rude when you do get a hold of them after days of endless waiting. Now that you've been warned please be careful. I'd hate the same thing to happen to you.these people are thieves! Good luck

Is there any kind of fees for having a brokerage account? Like a monthly subscription kind of fee.. I know there is a fee when you guy and sell stocks but if I have a brokerage account opened and I don’t buy or sell stocks for like two months, would there be any kind of charge for simply having a brokerage account?
ClayTrader (5 months ago)
It all depends. Here's more detail https://claytrader.com/videos/online-broker-fees-explained/
