Sampling Signals Part 2 (2/10) - Time-Bandwidth Product Matlab Script

07:08
http://adampanagos.org The previous video in this playlist introduced the time-duration (Td) and bandwidth metrics (Bw) and said that the time-bandwidth product was always greater than or equal to 1/2 (i.e Td*Bw greater than or equal to 0.5). This video examines the this time-bandwidth product via experimenting with a Matlab script. The continuous time-signal x(t) = exp(-a|t|) is parameterized by "a" which controls how quickly the signal decays in the time-domain. The spectrum of this signal (i.e. X(w)) is computed analytically and both Td and Bw are computed numerically in Matlab. We show that as "a" varies, the spectrum changes accordingly (compression in time leads to expansion in frequency and expansion in time leads to compression in frequency). Also, regardless of the values of Td and Bw, we still have Td*Bw greater than or equal to 1/2 as expected. #172: Basics of Op Amp Gain Bandwidth Product and Slew Rate Limit

15:32
Op amp gain-BW product and slew rate limiting are defined, discussed and demonstrated on the bench. This discussion applies to the majority of general purpose op amps on the market - as most op amps are internally compensated with a single dominant pole. High speed op amps, unconditionally stable op amps, non-unity gain stable op amps, high power opamps, etc. may not follow these characteristics because they are often compensated differently in their design. An LM358N is used for the example circuit. Other popular op amps like the LM741, etc. will behave in a similar way. Sometimes the slew rate limit of a device will be the dominant factor in determining the bandwidth, and other times the gain-bandwidth product will determine the resulting frequency response. The video demonstrates why this happens. Notes from the video are here: http://www.qsl.net/w/w2aew//youtube/opamp_GBWP_SlewRate.pdf

Sampling Signals Part 2 (1/10) - Time Limited Signals Introduction

06:22
http://adampanagos.org When working with "real-world" signals we are always working time-limited signals since it's impossible to observe a signal for all time. Time-limited signals pose an interesting problem since they cannot be band-limited. This means we cannot clearly identify the maximum frequency as we've done in the previous sampling videos. This video introduces the time duration and bandwidth metrics for which the time-bandwidth product is always greater than or equal to 1/2. What is BANDWIDTH-LIMITED PULSE? What does BANDWIDTH-LIMITED PULSE mean?

01:13
What is BANDWIDTH-LIMITED PULSE? What does BANDWIDTH-LIMITED PULSE mean? BANDWIDTH-LIMITED PULSE meaning - BANDWIDTH-LIMITED PULSE definition - BANDWIDTH-LIMITED PULSE explanation. A bandwidth-limited pulse (also known as Fourier-transform-limited pulse, or more commonly, transform-limited pulse) is a pulse of a wave that has the minimum possible duration for a given spectral bandwidth. Bandwidth-limited pulses have a constant phase across all frequencies making up the pulse. Optical pulses of this type can be generated by mode-locked lasers. Any waveform can be disassembled into its spectral components by Fourier analysis or Fourier transformation. The length of a pulse thereby is determined by its complex spectral components, which include not just their relative intensities, but also the relative positions (spectral phase) of these spectral components. For different pulse shapes, the time-bandwidth product (TBP) is different. For example, {\displaystyle \mathrm {sech^{2}} } {\mathrm {sech^{2}}} pulses have TBP of 0.315 and gaussian pulses have TBP of 0.441. A bandwidth-limited pulse can only be kept together if the dispersion of the medium the wave is travelling through is zero; otherwise dispersion management is needed to revert the effects of unwanted spectral phase changes. For example, when an ultrashort pulse passes through a block of glass, the glass medium broadens the pulse due to group velocity dispersion. Keeping pulses bandwidth-limited is necessary to compress information in time or to achieve high field densities, as with ultrashort pulses in modelocked lasers.

Lead Time, Takt Time, Throughput Time - A Lean Tutorial

Looking for Business Game concepts and Lean Instructions? Visit: www.lean-toolbox.org Follow for more - www.facebook.com/ThinkLean/ More Videos on - www.lean-production.org Lead Time (LT) is one of those terms many speak about having different interpretations and meaning. When speaking about LT everybody should be aware of what he wants to describe. Though nobody should care if lead time is used in the right way or not unless others knows what you speak about. Also the term Throughput Time is an often used term describing something very similar to lead time though differences between both exist. Imagine going to a fast food restaurant. Once you place an order, let’s say a hamburger, employees of the restaurant start to produce your order. If we take the time from placing the order until you receive your hamburger you will finally get the lead time of that product. At McDonald’s for instance the lead time is around 90 seconds depending on the product you order though we know some components of the hamburger are already prepared ahead, like the meat or sauces. How to estimate control loop bandwidth from the transient response time?

07:00
The Richtek Load Transient Tool makes DC/DC converter stability check simpler and faster than before! No matter your design is a Buck or Boost converter, a linear regulator or even a LED driver, this unique fast load transient tool kit will help you identify loop stability problems and estimate the converter loop control speed to judge the correct control loop compensation. In this tutorial video, you will find an example of a stability test where we compare the load transient test result with an actual open loop gain-phase measurement using a network analyzer. You will also find an example of a stability problem to see the influence of reduced output capacitor value on the converter stability and control bandwidth. Nest Aware Review - Is it worth getting?

11:17
I love my Nest Cam IQ and Nest Cam Indoor with Nest Aware. I hate them without. I figured it's going to cost over $1400 dollars over two years to use my Nest Cams with Nest Aware. Is it worth it? What am I getting for that much money? Get the Nest Cam IQ on Amazon! Amazon US: https://shreh.ca/2wYo8c3 Amazon CA: https://shreh.ca/2wYgUVD Amazon UK: https://shreh.ca/2wYgWwJ Amazon DE: https://shreh.ca/2wYGZns Or get it on eBay: https://shreh.ca/2wYepm9 Get the Nest Cam Indoor on Amazon! Amazon US: https://shreh.ca/2wYhm62 Amazon CA: https://shreh.ca/2wYFaqC Amazon UK: https://shreh.ca/2wYhoea Amazon DE: https://shreh.ca/2wYsnEE Or get it on eBay: https://shreh.ca/2wYms2f Going all in with a Nest Cam and Nest Aware subscription means that you get the most peace of mind for the area that you’re monitoring with your Nest products. It’s going to cost you a bit though. However, if you opt out of Nest Aware after the free trial period, you’ll have spent $200-$300 dollars on cameras that are basically a step up form a webcam attached to an old computer. Without Nest Aware, you basically retain all the hardware features of the camera such as watching live video, 2-way communication and the occasional notification that something is going on in that room. In the next few paragraphs, I’m going to: - breakdown the different features of Nest Aware - figure out how much it's going to cost over two years - a cheaper alternative - what happens when you re-subscribe So if you’re not exactly sure what Nest Aware is, it is the cloud portion of the Nest Cam. Nest describes it as a boost of intelligence for your Nest Cam. I call it a boost of sales for Alphabet, the parent company of Nest as well as Google. Let’s elaborate on these features a bit more. For the cloud storage, based on the plan, you either have a 10 day or 30 day backup of 24/7 video recording. This is going to be handy for the occasional time that you *think something has happened. Without Nest Aware, you get 5 hours of activity. Not videos, just tiny clips that show you something has happened. Sort of. If you’re never home, the 10 or 30 day cloud storage feature is going to be handy on days where your house get’s broken into at 9 in the morning and you don’t know that happened till 6pm. Then you can go back into time and find out what happened. But let this sink in. You’ve just spent $200-$300 dollars on a Nest Cam and it without Nest Aware, it has done almost nothing to help you in the off chance that something bad happens. Sharing videos and time lapses. This is a handy feature that allows you to share whatever good or bad thing that’s going on in your home. This is going to be the most important feature when it comes to keeping your home safe. Onto the next feature which are the activity zones. Being able to set activity zones is quite handy especially if you’re using a Nest Camera to monitor a larger room. If you’ve watched my Nest Cam Indoor and Cam IQ review, you’ll know that the facial recognition is a big selling point for me. It is a neat feature. But the question I have to ask myself is: How important is it to recognize faces In the general scheme of monitoring your home for security purposes? So that's Nest Aware. For me, nothing really stands out with this service. So how much will it cost to run for two years? First of all, you’ll need to buy the cameras so for the Nest Cam IQ and Indoor, you’re going to spend $500 USD’s. With each camera, you get 30 days free of the 10-Day Nest Aware subscription. This why this scenario is two years and one month, to make the math a bit easier. Over two years, in total, this is going to cost you $800 USD for the 10-Day plan and $1600 for the 30-Day plan. Is your peace of mind worth that much money over two years? For me personally, it isn’t because I know I can get basically the same functionality at a lower cost. Now what is a potentially cheaper alternative? Check out the last part of the video for a quick comparison with the D-Link Omna. Here’s the last thing I’ll say about Nest Aware. If you’re thinking that you can sign up for Nest Aware after something has happened, well, you can’t. Which makes sense to me but given the how much Nest is asking you to spend, I was thinking *maybe this was a feature? Sorry, you can’t game Nest Aware I guess. Throughput Time, Delivery Cycle time, Manufacturing Cycle efficiency

05:37
Throughput Time, Delivery Cycle time, Manufacturing Cycle efficiency: Throughput time = Process time+ Inspection time +Move time + Queue time Delivery Cycle time is equal wait time plus Throughput time Delivery Cycle time = wait time + Throughput time Manufacturing Cycle efficiency is equal value-added time over throughput time. In this video, we will learn Delivery Cycle time, Throughput time, Process time, Inspection time, Move time, Queue time, Value added time vs No value added time, Manufacturing Cycle efficiency (MCE). Subscribe: http://youtube.com/accountingplus To like us on Facebook, visit https://www.facebook.com/accountingPlusS/ Now we will move forward to explain these concepts. Delivery Cycle time The amount of time from when a customer order is received to when the completed order is shipped is called delivery cycle time. This time is clearly a key concern to many customers, who would like the delivery cycle time to be as short as possible. Cutting the delivery cycle who would like the Delivery Cycle time to be short as possible. Throughput time (Manufacturing Cycle) time Throughput time is also called Manufacturing Cycle time. The amount of time required to turn raw material into completed products is called throughput time or manufacturing cycle time. Here a question comes to our mind, what is The relation between the delivery cycle time and the throughput time. The relation between the delivery cycle time and the throughput time. Throughput time is equal to Process time, Inspection time, Move time, and Queue time. Let me explain you, what is Process time, Inspection time, Move time, and Queue time. Process time is the amount of time work is actually done on the product. Inspection time is the amount of time spent to ensuring the product is not defective. Move time is the time required to move material or partially completed products from workstation to workstation. Queue time is the amount of time a product spends waiting to be moved to inspection, or to be shipped. Add value to the product-process time. Non-Add vale are inspection, moving, and queuing Let me explain Value added time and Non-value-added time Value added time is the processes and activities in the production or manufacturing process that improves the product or adds usefulness to it. Non-value-added time or activity in a production or manufacturing process is any time spent on a step in that process that adds nothing to the finished product. Only process time is value-added activities of product. The inspection, moving, and queuing added no value and should be eliminated as much as possible. Manufacturing Cycle efficiency (MCE) We will calculate Manufacturing Cycle efficiency by diving value-added time to throughput time. If Manufacturing Cycle efficiency is less than 0.1, which mean 90% of the time a unit is in the process is spent on activities that do not add value to the product. Monitoring the Manufacturing Cycle efficiency helps companies to reduce Non-value-added activities and thus get the product into the hand of customers more quickly and at a lower cost. Here is our previous discussion formula’s. Throughput time is equal to Process time, Inspection time, Move time, and Queue time. Delivery Cycle time is equal wait time plus Throughput time. Manufacturing Cycle efficiency is equal value-added time over throughput time. Let me explain this concept with the help of an example. Let say, A company have the following average time were recorded for each unit. Process time 2 days, Inspection time 0.4 days, Move time 0.6 days, Queue time 5 days and wait time 17 days. Calculate Throughput time, Delivery Cycle time, Manufacturing Cycle efficiency and Non-value-added time. First, we will calculate Throughput time. Throughput time is equal to Process time plus, Inspection time plus, Move time plus, Queue time. Throughput time = Process time+ Inspection time +Move time + Queue time example We will add Process time 2 days, Inspection time 0.4 days, Move time 0.6 days, Queue time 5 days and get 8 days Throughput time. Delivery Cycle time is equal wait time plus Throughput tie Delivery Cycle time = wait time + Throughput time Now we will calculate Manufacturing Cycle efficiency. Manufacturing Cycle efficiency is equal value-added time over throughput time. Non-value added time calculation we will subtract the Manufacturing Cycle efficiency answer 25% from 100%. We get 75% Non-value added time. Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu Comparison: The 2018 Ultimate Throwdown

Amazon Prime, Netflix, or Hulu - which one should you get? I look at three over the top streaming services, and how they've changed since the last time I compared the three (in 2014). I go over the good points and bad points of each service. I also highlight the original programming all of these shows have. The Star Citizen Recruitment Program allows you to invite friends to join the Star Citizen Project. Anyone registering with your personal code will automatically get 5,000 UEC to spend in Voyager Direct. https://gaming.youtube.com/c/Sitarows/live Final note. You do not need to buy a new system for Star Citizen as at this time the game is in need of optimizations that we will begin to see implemented in 3.1 (estimated release date march) A i7 2600k overclocked with 16gb ram 1070 video card two ssd drives one for OS (Windows 10 Pro) and one for Star Citizen works well and may be perfect for Squadron 42. Upgrading that type of system to a 1080ti would give you added performance sure but holding off till the next release of 2080 from nvidia may be prudent. If your system is presently on a mechanical drive and you wish to improve your system performance with minimum investment that I suggest move to an SSD as that upgrade would benefit you in performance for all applications and not simply Star Citizen. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ejHKbPptJKOKWwStEno-JApejmk-XXeC/view?usp=sharing Star Citizen Drive Intel Optane SSD 900P (280GB, 2.5in w/ U.2-M.2 Connector PCIe 3.0 x4, 20nm, 3D XPoint) https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820167439&cm_re=optane-_-20-167-439-_-Product Operating System Drive (Windows 10 PRO) Note: You could possibly simply get away with the Optane drive for both Windows and Star Citizen use and avoid having the cost of another NVMe m.2 drive.
