How to Create Letter Portrait | Photoshop Tutorial

14:16
In this photoshop tutorial we will see text portrait style effect. But the main difference is that instead of insane amount of messy text, all we will use is just single letter and attach a portrait with it. Really simple process once you understand how to do it, anyone can follow it and it works everywhere if you pick proper font and pictures. I have shown two different styles and two different methods of creating it. and once you understand first one, the second becomes even simpler. The font i used in the effect are default in photoshop so you won't have to download it. I also had couple different samples that i created which i put at the end of the photo effect. I really hope you enjoy this photo effects tutorial and if you have questions or suggestions ask me in comments below. How to Warp Text into a Shape In Photoshop TUTORIAL

09:50
Get the latest version of Adobe Photoshop CC here: http://bit.ly/2ekhRiF In this Photoshop Tutorial, I will be using Photoshop Cs6 to show you how to warp and transform words and text into a shape or object. By request, I will be morphing the text layer into the shape of lips. Steps involved: 1. Place guide image or shape onto background and lower opacity to act as a placement guide. 2. Create your text layers, keeping in mind that the more piece out your phrase, the more of a custom result you can achieve. 3. Rasterize, or convert the text into a shape layer so you can warp it. 4. Warp the text using Edit - Transform - Warp, and pull at the grid to align it to your background guide image. 5. Repeat for all letters and words keeping perspective and placement in mind! -------------------------------------------------------------- SUBSCRIBE on Youtube for new videos! - http://bit.ly/Justinodisho FOLLOW ME ON SOCIAL MEDIA - Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/JustinOdisho - Twitter: https://twitter.com/JustinOdisho - Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/JustinOdisho VISIT MY WEBSITE - http://justinodisho.com/ ---(F.A.Q.) TextBoxes 101

04:03
Drag, Drop, Publish! EverWeb: The Easy To Use No-Nonsense Website Builder! http://www.everwebapp.com In this video, we’re going to find out that there’s more to discover about TextBoxes than just entering, formatting and hyperlinking text. First let’s add a TextBox to the page. As you can see the TextBox uses a 12 point Helvetica web safe font . We can change the font to create our website’s own default style. To do this, just go to the Format, Default Styles menu and change the Body Text Font. In this example I am going to use the Avenir font. Next I am going to set the default Body Text Font Size to 20 point. For most websites you should usually use a font size of at least 16 point. It’s important not to forget to click ‘Save’ when you are finished so that your changes are applied. Now when I add a new TextBox, it adopts the new default style that I just set up. To add text to your page, you can use a TextBox and manually enter the text you want. Alternatively you can copy and paste text in from other sources such as a word processed document or from a web page. You can use Command V to paste in the text from the clipboard or use the Edit, Paste and Match Style menu option to match the pasted text with your font style defaults. With our text now on the page, I’m going to create a spelling mistake for the word Toolbar. Let’s spell check the page using the Spelling Options in the Edit menu. Select Edit, Spelling, Show Spelling to view the Spelling and Grammar dialog box. As you can see our word is flagged as misspelled. If I want to highlight a word in the TextBox I can just add a background fill to make a highlighter pen effect. With the text box still selected, I can change the character spacing of the text as I want. I can convert the TextBox into an image file when I publish my website. Usually you don’t need to do this unless you have a specific need, for example you have a Text based logo You can even have the selected text read back to you using the Speak option. Don’t forget that you also have the Format menu if you want to use superscript or subscript, if you want to quickly change the font size, or if you want to change the case of the text. Some of these options are also available by secondary clicking on the highlighted text. For the fullest range of text options, use the Fonts Panel which gives you most of the options you need all in one place. You can also add background shapes and images to your TextBox by using the Shapes menu. With the TextBox selected go to the Shape Options. In this example I am going to set the Shape as a ‘star’. Set the shape to ‘Color Fill’. The star resizes as you change the dimensions of the text box. Now let’s change the ‘Color Fill’ to an ‘Image Fill’. Set the fill option to 'Scale to Fill’ so that the star is filled with the image. If I set the ‘Shape’ to ‘Default’, the image now becomes a background for the text. In this example, I will change the text color to white so it can be seen better against the background image. Lastly, why not add animation features to your text boxes? Don’t forget that sometimes it’s best not to use TextBoxes at all. If you want to improve your SEO, why not use EverWeb’s Heading Tags widget for your page titles and page headings. Check out our You Tube video on Heading Tags for more info! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOPqVs4ffHo

How to write like an architect

02:36
Take the 'How to Write Like an Architect Course,' Plus get Doug's hand written architecture font. https://thearchitectsacademy.usefedora.com/p/how-to-write-like-an-architect Hi Im Doug Patt and this is how to architect. Today well learn How to write like an architect. The basic drafting tool for an architect when working by hand is a parallel rule. You can also use a t-square. Ill be using an ames lettering guide to create the lines for the lettering. First were going to create our horizontal lines using the lettering guide. The guide has a variety of spacing options to create just about any combination your looking for. I will also be using a small triangle. Ive added tape to this one for ink lettering to avoid smearing. Ill also be using a .5mm pentel drafting pencil and a paper mate, flair pen for the letters. Ive created a small grid here to give me some guidance when I lay out the letters. Id say the most important thing to remember about hand lettering is that your letters need to seem animated while still appearing orderly and neat. I think this is achieved by using a few conventions. For example, youll notice the letters have some amount of incompleteness. The second diagonal on the A does not follow all the way to the guide line, the bottom of the B or D isnt complete, The bottom line on the E starts in front of the vertical. The second thing is that all the horizontals in the letters are drawn by hand, not using the parallel rule. They all sit at a slight angle making them dynamic and yet uniform. Youll also notice that I use the ruler for all vertical lines. Lastly, when making your Os, Qs, Cs, Gs, even 8s and 9s, the letters and numbers are simply combinations of semi circles. Even the letter S is made the same way. These are two images from my portfolio. They are good examples of how your strings of words will come together to form orderly yet animated paragraphs. This is a quote I found from Tyron Edwards Dictionary of thoughts I enjoy referring to from time to time. It seemed appropriate for a youtube video because giving people the most amount of knowledge in the least amount of time is really what drives the information age. So, remember hand lettering is about style and legibility. Mine is definitely stylized and probably a little tough to read sometimes. So thanks for checking out how to write like an architect. Im Doug

Bootstrap Grid System

10:38
bootstrap 3 grid example bootstrap 3 grid system bootstrap 3 columns layout bootstrap grid system example bootstrap 3 page layout bootstrap page layout examples bootstrap 3 layout examples bootstrap page layout tutorial bootstrap grid layout tutorial bootstrap column layout how to use bootstrap 3 grid system In this video we will discuss, How to create page layouts using bootstrap grid system. One of the very important concept that we need to understand in Bootstrap is it's Grid System. The Grid system is used for creating page layouts through a series of rows and columns. The Grid System consists of 12 columns. This grid system is so flexible that you can create any page layout that you want. Let us now see how to create a 3 column layout using the Bootstrap Grid System. The page should be divided into 3 columns with 1:4:1 ratio. One important thing to keep in mind here is that, if we add the 3 numbers in the ratio (1:4:1), the sum should be equal to 12, because the bootstrap grid system consists of 12 columns. This means if the LEFT SIDE BAR column is 2 units, the MAIN CONTENT AREA column should be 8 units and the RIGHT SIDE BAR column should be 2 units. So when we add these 3 numbers (2 Units + 8 Units + 2 Units), we get 12 units. Bootstrap includes several grid classes for creating layouts for different devices like mobile phones, tablets, laptops, desktops, etc. The table below shows the available bootstrap grid classes that you can use to create grid column layouts ranging from extra small devices like mobile phones to large devices like large desktop screens. We will discuss these different classes in detail with examples in a later video. For now let's use .col-md-* class to create a 3 column layout. There are 3 simple steps to create the 3 column layout that we want, using the bootstrap 12 column grid system 1. First, create a container. We do this by creating a [div] element using the bootstrap .container class. All the rows will be within this container. 2. Second, create a row within the container. We do this by creating a [div] element using the bootstrap .row class. 3. Finally within the row we create the 3 columns that we need. We do this by creating [div] elements using any of the bootstrap grid classes (.col-xs-*, .col-sm-*, .col-md-* & .col-lg-*). In this example we are using col-xs-* class. Please note that here I am also using a custom class (.customDiv) to apply some custom styles to each of the div elements. [div class="container"] [div class="row"] [div class="col-md-2"] [div class="customDiv"]LEFT SIDE BAR[/div] [/div] [div class="col-md-8"] [div class="customDiv"]MAIN CONTENT AREA[/div] [/div] [div class="col-md-2"] [div class="customDiv"]RIGHT SIDE BAR[/div] [/div] [/div] [/div] Here is the definition of the custom css class (.customDiv) .customDiv{ margin:3px; min-height:300px; background-color:silver; text-align:center; font-size:large } I have created this class in a stylesheet that I named CustomStyles.css. I have placed this in the root folder of the project. Some important points to keep in mind when working with the bootstrap grid system to create page layouts 1. Rows must be placed within a container for proper alignment and padding. 2. Use rows to create horizontal groups of columns. 3. Content should be placed within columns, and only columns may be immediate children of rows. 4. If more than 12 columns are placed within a single row, each group of extra columns will, as one unit, wrap onto a new line. 5. Grid columns are created by specifying the number of twelve available columns you wish to span. For example, to create four equal columns we would use four .col-xs-3. How to Style Your Divi Blog Module Grid Cards (With 4 Examples)

06:22
Divi’s Blog Module has a useful grid layout option for your blog posts. The grid template organizes your blog posts into boxes or cards that make it easier to view more posts on your screen than a standard full-width blog layout. The Blog Module Settings allow you to customize the overall design of your grid. You can easily make all of your cards the same background color, font, margins, etc… However, the styling options are limited to the design of the grid as a whole, making it difficult to apply multiple or different designs to the cards within the grid. Today I’m going to show you how to target and apply more than one style to the cards that make up your blog grid using custom CSS. I’ll show you how to apply a different style to every other card, creating a checkered effect. I’ll also show you how to style your cards differently by row and how to target and style any individual card by itself. I’m including 4 examples of how to style your grid cards including a few hover effects you can use. By the end of this tutorial, you will be setup to create amazing blog grid designs for your next project. Here are some tips to consider before you start shooting. Think about the shooting arrangements ahead of time. Remember that, depending on the background, the reporter needs to be in a specific position. For the shooting and the montage, you'll need a green background to make use of chroma key. If you don't have a professional green screen, use green sheets or just glue several pieces of green paper together. If you want to include an expert or special reporter in your video, shoot them in a different location: the street, maybe, or your friend's house. Use the split screen or picture-in-picture effect to add the second person to the video. As for the montage, there are also some interesting options to choose from! If you need video editing software, we recommend you try the new and improved version of Movavi Video Editor – it will help you create amazing videos. And here’s a version for Mac users: https://goo.gl/dPPTMJ Step 1. Add files to the program and create an intro. Step 2. Add a title for your news program. You can do this using the titles tool. Go to the title tab, choose the one you want, and place it above the intro video. Adjust the text, size, and font as you wish. Step 3. To place your reporter in the studio, drag the green screen video above the photo or video. Highlight the clip on the timeline, click clip properties in the tool section, and choose the chroma key option. Change the opacity until the green background disappears. Now drag the reporter to the position you want them in. Step 4. To add the second reporter to the monitor - drag the video above other timelines. In the clip properties, choose 'picture-in-picture', move the video to the green screen position, and edit the size as needed. Use the same technique to add the logo: add a file with the logo, place it above the main video, choose 'picture-in-picture', adjust the size, and drag it to the left or right corner. Step 5. Now let's add a rolling ticker. Go to the Titles tab, Basic, and choose the Scroll left option. Stretch the frame with the text to the full width of the frame, add your ticker text, pick the font you want, and decide on colour and size. And your first news-style video is ready!
