The only Grand Duchy in the world. Over the next few days we're going to be exploring the capital of Luxembourg City and this is going to be a little city guide to show you some of the highlights. Located smack dab in between Germany, France, and Belgium, the little Grand Duchy of Luxembourg can be easy to miss if you're not looking carefully, however, we're of the opinion that this is a beautiful destination that you'll definitely want to make time for. From picturesque neighbourhoods with cream coloured walls, to dazzling views of blue rooftops in the Old Town below, Luxembourg City is a charming destination that you'll want to add to your European itinerary. So this hear is the Corniche and it is a pedestrian promenade which has been called the most beautiful balcony in all of Europe because it gets some spectacular views of the old town. So we are now entering the Bock Casemates and apparently this was the old fortification of Luxemborg and it was known as the Gibraltar of the north. This was once one of the most envied fortresses in all of Europe. Right now we're visiting the Three Towers which are remnants of an old fortress. We've been walking around a neighborhood called the Grund which is directly below the city center. And it is really picturesque and without tourists. So behind me we have Saint Michael's church which is the oldest church in Luxembourg. The first church to be built on this spot dates back to the year 987, however, the church was destroyed, rebuilt, and renovated many times over the centuries. The Palace houses the Grand Duke's office and during the summer months. There is no shortage of museums in Luxembourg City, so we took some time to visit the National Museum of Art and History. We are now looking at the Passerelle which is Luxembourg's very own viaduct. So we are now standing in William Square which is a really popular spot on Sundays and Wednesdays because local vendors setup shop and they sell all kinds of things from fresh produce, to flowers, street snacks. So final thoughts of Luxembourg. Alright, to wrap things up here it was a really cool city. It is the type of city that you can explore in just one or two days. A weekend type of destination because a lot of the attractions are nearby one another. And we just found it a very easy city to get around in on foot. So as a little travel tip if you're planning on being in the city for a few days we really recommend the Luxembourg Card. This is what we used while we were here and it is really good for public transportation across the city. Across the country actually and you also get access to seventy different galleries, museums, historic attractions and it is not that expensive. I mean it depends on whether you get a family or an individual card but we really recommend it because we made a lot of use of it. Our visit to Luxembourg City was short and sweet, but we hope this video gave you a little taste of what it's like. Now it's your turn: have you ever been to Luxembourg? If so, feel free to share some of your tips in the comments below. This is part of our Travel in Luxembourg series. We're making a series of videos showcasing Luxembourg culture, Luxembourg foods & Luxembourg cuisine. Music in this video courtesy of Audio Network

Let’s start with my preconceptions: I expected Japan’s capital, and home to the world’s largest urban population to be over the top and really in your face, with neon lights and anime at every turn and i certainly wasn’t disappointed. The streets are lined with towering, multi-storey buildings, each filled with mind bending department stores and arcades, offices to some of the world’s biggest brands and restaurants serving the best food you’ll ever taste. But despite all the apparent madness and chaos, spend a few days in Tokyo and it just makes sense. Here, efficiency is an art form. Japanese attention to detail is legendary, and it runs through everything, from food to public transport and urban planning. And yes, even the toilets. This trip was an educational and weirdly enlightening experience. I’ve been lucky to visit a lot of amazing places making these videos, but Tokyo is in a league of its own. So Tokyo, it’s big, it’s busy and it’s brilliant. As ever, let’s start with the airports. Flying from the UK you’ll come into one of Tokyo’s two major international airports, Haneda or Narita. Of course, you don’t need me to tell you that Tokyo is a really long way away, direct flights from Europe will take a whopping 12 hours for the nine and a half thousand kilometre journey. So you’ve got Haneda airport which is roughly 13 miles south of the city, and then you’ve got 50 miles east. Fortunately, both are really easy to get to noisy noisy Tokyo. Here’s what you need to know. From Haneda you have three main options, the airport limousine bus, a taxi or the monorail. The airport limousine takes between 30 and 45 minutes, stopping at most major hotels in the centre of town, with prices increasing for the night service between midnight and 5am. A taxi should take about half and hour depending on traffic, with prices depending where you’re being dropped off. There’s also a 20% extra charge between 10pm and 5am. However the quickest option is the airport’s dedicated monorail. It’ll get you into Hamamatsucho station in 13 minutes and from here you can connect to the circular Yamanote metro line to reach other parts of the city. The metro runs between 9 and 7 on weekdays and then 9 to 5 on weekends and public holidays. That’s Haneda! Here’s what you need to know about Narita. Narita is a whopping 50 miles east of Tokyo, so all of your transport options are going to take a while. The Airport Limousine bus and taxis runs from Narita but both will take anywhere between 90 minutes to 2 hours to reach central Tokyo. Instead, take the JR Narita Express. It’ll whisk into town in a little under an hour, and with this being Japan, the trains are on time and super efficient. A word of warning about getting home; if you’re flight’s on a Sunday, make sure you check the train times because there’s a reduced service. Check your departure time, and then allow plenty of extra time to get to the airport.

Tatler editor Kate Reardon and her team don jungle onesies for Times Magazine fashion issue

00:25
They think sex is hilarious, flying first class is vulgar and wearing a onesie is cool - the girls from Tatler magazine model for our special augmented reality fashion issue, out this Saturday (14th September). The posh girls come to life on the cover - changing from couture leather into the poshocracy's favourite animal all-in-ones. Tap and buy your winter wardrobe straight from the page using the Aurasma app (you can download it here: http://www.aurasma.com). On top of that, we've got autumn/winter essentials, why the New Posh are the new style arbiters, Bryan Ferry rocking Louis Vuitton and what Christian Lacroix thinks of losing both his business and the right to use his own name. There's also Times Fashion editor Laura Craik in the coat of the season (warning: it's pink. Very pink.) and the fastest man in the world, Usain Bolt, in a Gucci suit. And if that's not enough to tickle your tastebuds, quite frankly, there's no pleasing you.

Travel to Drass for a snow clad summer in India | ETMagazine

02:59
The town of Drass in Jammu and Kashmir's Kargil district experiences brutal winter of minus 30-35 degree Celsius. But anxiety of stocking food, fodder and firewood for the next winter doesn’t allow many of its 15,500 residents enjoy the summer. It is surely a special experience to visit this place. DAY 95 - TRAVELLING AROUND TOKYO | 東京

07:40
Open me ↓ ↓ ↓ DAY 95 - DAY 95 - TRAVELLING AROUND TOKYO | 東京 // 13.01.2017 So today we had to throw our original plan out the window due to us getting out of bed late and missing the opening times of Tsukiji fish market (which we will head to tomorrow) Anyways it still gave us the perfect opportunity to head to the Imperial Palace and to the neighbouring district of Ginza. Ginza is one of the oldest shopping districts of Tokyo and for us it felt much busier than Shibuya. The word Ginza translates to 'Silver Mint', our interpretation of this is that you need to be 'minted' in order to shop here. It didn't look like it in the video but we actually walked ALOT today, so we headed home early to get some energy for another day in Tokyo. We hope you all enjoy this video and as always... #cheerstofreedom Instagram: @Beer4Breakfast2 Twitter: @Beer4Breakfast2 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/beerforbreakfast2/ Twitter: @Beer4Breakfast2 Vimeo: https://www.vimeo.com/beer4breakfast2 Website: https://www.contactbeerforbrea.wixsite.com/cheers Email: [email protected]

Quick Tips Vietnam - Visa, Currency, SIM Cards, and Other Travel Tips

11:24
Travel tips for traveling to Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi in Vietnam: 1. Visa - go to the link below to apply for a Visa online. For the photo you need to get an actual TWO copies taken at a store like CVS/Costco HOWEVER tell them not to cut it because the photo required for the Visa is a different size from a passport. Check out the Visa approval letter for instructions. https://www.myvietnamvisa.com 2. Immigration - for either Ho Chi Minh or Hanoi airports head towards immigration but before you get in line there's a separate area to get your actual Visa. Remember you only have an approval letter and not a Visa. You will need to give them your passport, letter and fee to be paid in US Dollars (the amount should be in your email or letter). Once you get your Visa head towards immigration as usual. 3. SIM cards - if your phone doesn't seem to work then I suggest you get a SIM card, granted your phone is unlocked. There are a lot of booths everywhere selling these. I got unlimited data for about a week for $9 USD. Other quick tip, bring a small paperclip with you so you can switch the SIM card back later for when you leave Vietnam. 4. Currency - you will need to exchange for local currency. I recommend using ATMs instead of the currency exchange for better rates. If there are multiple ATMs check out the fee for each before withdrawing. 5. How to get around - if you can't walk somewhere Uber was available at both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh. 6. Where to stay - stay near night market. Check out below. Ho Chi Minh - I stayed at Majestic Saigon - was about 15 min walk to night market http://majesticsaigon.com Hanoi - I stayed at Emerald Waters - location, quality, and service was great. Within the old quarter and within walking distance of shops and street food. http://www.hanoiemeraldwatershotel.com 7. Crossing the streets - look both ways, be careful, be confident, and just go for it! 8. Be mindful of travel times - streets are very congested and a lot of traffic so make sure to allot extra travel time. 9. Street food and night market - see below. Note Hanoi night market is only Friday-Sunday but there are tons of street food all over the city either way. Ho Chi Minh - Ben Thanh market was where I went. Lots of shops and street food. Try the grilled seafood! https://goo.gl/maps/GezKMRL14vo Hanoi - I didn't go to the night market but just walk around the Old Quarter near St. Joseph's cathedral below on Nha Chung street. https://goo.gl/maps/g5mp3mXQi622 10. Halong Bay - there are a lot of tours available and I booked through Viator. Personally I think one night was enough on a cruise. I booked on V'Spirit Overnight Halong Bay Cruise. Note that while food is included in the cost, drinks are NOT, and this includes water and tea. **Airport Lounge Tips Ho Chi Minh - Priority Pass lounge is available at the international terminal. After security make a left and head towards gate 10-14. You will see an unassuming sliding door next to a small pop-up shop that will lead stairs. Head downstairs. It's called the Orchid Lounge. I did not check out the lounge in the domestic terminal but it looks like there's one. Hanoi - there are no lounges available for Priority Pass or Amex. ******************************** This video was shot on a GoPro Hero 6 Black Follow me on Instagram to stay up to date on my adventures: https://www.instagram.com/rhanzpants/

Often when people think of Madrid they think of museums and art and maybe a trip to Toledo. But trust me, this city has an incredible food scene that is less touristy and more underground compared to some other cities in Spain. So, I wanted to make this Madrid food guide so that you can enjoy it like a true local! Today I take you to 10 of my favourite places to eat 10 incredible bites. We start with the best chocolate in the city (melted from actual chocolate) at an over 100-year-old pastry shop. Then we head to a local and hidden family-run joint for the city’s top Spanish omelette (tortilla española) and a beer (caña). Next up! Vermouth time. We nip across to the San Miguel market for a sweet red vermouth on tap just like the locals do (along with marcona almonds, campo real olives and a local skewer). Then we head to a SECRET STOP. Cloistered nuns who bake cookies in - the cookies are delicious and moreish and the experience is truly one-of-a-kind. As a friend used to say, like doing a drug deal! OK… getting full. Next stop - jamón… ham! And the good stuff - acorn-fed jamón ibérico in a family-run ham shop. Around the corner we head to an over 100-year-old tapas bar for one of the most delicious tapas in the city - bull tail stew parcel, paired with a Rioja wine. Next it’s Madrid’s most famous bite - the calamari sandwich. There are so many places that do this, but we head for the best one! And for more seafood, we swing around into the La Latina neighbourhood for the best bacalao in the city, served with a white wine in a place that is a true Madrid rough-and-tumble tapas bar. And then - tapas. We swing into Casa Toni, a fantastic tapas bar that does brilliant sweetbreads - mollejas - a delicacy in many restaurants around the world, and here deliciously cooked with skill on the griddle. And finally, dessert … we head to the most famous pastry shop in the city for the napolitana de crema. The perfect sweet end to a fabulous Madrid food tour. Siesta time! Want to find those secret nun cookies? Head to Calle Codo (near Plaza de la Villa) and where you see the door with the sign "Venta de Dulces", ring the top bell. Hours are Mon-Fri 0930-1300 then 16.30 - 18.30. #SpainRevealed #JamesBlick #madrid 🇪🇸 MY FAVOURITE BOOKS ABOUT SPAIN 📖 ⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯ Food, wine, culture, history. Travel Vlog 2018 : Venice, Italy

10:21
Travel Vlog 2018 : Venice, Italy - Attractions in Venice, The Rialto Bridge, San Marco Square, San Marco Basilica, Grand canal Travel Vlog 4K https://www.youtube.com/TravelVlog4K Free things to do in Venice ======================= Your visit to Venice doesn’t have to be super expensive. Whilst accommodation in Venice itself costs a bit more than elsewhere in Italy there are also plenty of free things to do in Venice to keep you busy! 1. Visit the Rialto Bridge, Venice To us the Ponte di Rialto (the Rialto Bridge, Venice) is the true heart of Venice and the sight from this bridge over the Grand Canal is one that will always make my heart flutter in remembrance. The Rialto Bridge in Venice is the most famous of the 4 bridges that crosses over the Grand Canal. The bridge, a stone arch, was constructed between 1855 and 1591 to replace the wooden bridge that was very similar in design. Today this bridge is one of the most tourist visited sites in Venice and rightly so. The atmosphere and vibe and sights here are simply remarkable. I can’t even count how many times we crossed the Rialto Bridge on our visit, and how many photos we took from the bridge over the canal. One of our favourite attractions in Venice, you simply have to ensure you visit it all times of the day and night. 2. Get lost in the atmosphere at the San Marco Square, Venice The San Marco Piazza is world famous for a reason. It is one massive piazza and the architecture here is simply beautiful. The masterpiece of the San Marco square in Venice is of course the San Marco Basilica. The piazza is lined with several restaurants, most of which have an orchestra playing. The atmosphere that the orchestra creates here at the square is simply divine. But beware, if you choose to sit down at one of these ‘orchestra’ restaurants, you will be charged an additional fee on top of your food and drinks to help cover the costs of the band. 3. Visit the Bridge of Sighs, Venice The famous Bridge of Sighs, was built out of limestone and dates back to the 17th century. The Bridge spans the Palace River and connects the Old Prison and interrogation rooms in the Dodge Palace to the New Prison. It is probably one of the most visited and photographed attractions in Venice, so expect to see a crowd of people. 4. Markets in Venice At San Polo, Campo de la Pescaria, you will find the daily fresh markets in Venice. This market is beaming with local fresh fish and delicious juicy fruits and veggies. We bought a supply of fruits to add to our breakfasts whilst in Venice. If you have the time, make sure you go and absorb the hustle and bustle of a busy market atmosphere here. Open every day (except Sundays) from 7:30-13:30. (The fish market is only till 12pm) 5. Explore the history of the Jewish Ghetto, Venice The Jewish Ghetto is an area of Venice where all Jews were forced to live from the 16th till the 18th Century. This is a really interesting area of Venice with a great historic story to tell. You can still find a Jewish community living here, and lots of little restaurants and bakeries that sell Jewish specialities. This area was made famous by Shakespear’s ‘Merchant of Venice’ and is also home of the Jewish Museum: Museo Communità Ebraica. If you love learning more about the history of places, it would be worth doing a Jewish Ghetto, Venice tour here. The tours last around an hour and you can find tour guides at the Synagogue, gift shop or Kosher Cafe. Definitely an attraction of Venice to check out if you have enough time! Tourist attractions in Venice that you need to Pay for! ========================================= Here is a few of the main tourist attractions in Venice that you will need to pay for. Some of which are very affordable whilst others such as the Venice Gondola Rides will always remain a more expensive attraction. 6. Treat yourself to Venice Gondola Rides Of all the things we did in Venice, the Gondola ride was our favourite. We found it incredibly relaxing and we loved the view of Venice and the buildings from low down on the water. I think your experience of the Gondola Ride in Venice will greatly depend on the area in which you choose to grab one. We knew that we wanted to experience the ride in quieter areas of Venice so avoided the more popular spots, where the Gondolas on the water are lined up bumper to bumper on the canal. 7. Venture inside the Basilica di San Marco, Venice 8. Enjoy the city views from the San Marco Campanile, Venice 9. Relax on an affordable Grand Canal Cruise
