03:59
In web design, you can declare an element's width and/or height using either fixed values or relative values. This video covers the most commonly used dimensions (outside of ems): 1. Auto-sizing (auto) 2. Pixels (px) 3. Percentage (%) 4. Viewport height (vh) 5. Viewport width (vw) 6. Minimum (min) and maximum (max) You can adjust an element's width and height in the Styles Panel, under the Layout section. We’ll be covering how each of these units work in the context of setting element dimensions. ---------- Get started with Webflow: https://help.webflow.com/courses/getting-started http://webflow.com http://twitter.com/webflow http://facebook.com/webflow

23:48
this is a css tutorial part 6 where you can fully understand about the height, max-height, min-height, where you will use the only height, if you have max data then use max height but you dont about the data limit then use the min height, why we use the percentage, why we not use pixel, bcz pixel units is fixed but percentage flexible according to the pixel.

CQ 18 Responsive image specifications

01:30
To ensure that the images on your website meet responsive images specifications, make sure to follow these guidelines. First, make sure that your image is of high resolution. This is especially important for when your site is viewed on a mobile device or tablet, as the image dimensions adjust to fit the size of the screen. The images should be in PNG or JPG format and a minimum pixel size of 1200X900. Slideshow images should be either 2000 pixels wide for full page width, and 1200 pixels wide for content width. Please ensure that all images used in a slideshow are the same dimensions, having the same width and height. When deciding on a height for slideshow images, choose a size that will not result in the slideshow being so large that it displaces important core content. Lastly, optimize the file size of all images! Do not upload images in excess of 1 MB. Ideally, images (even slideshow images) should be less than 600-700KB. It is also important to think about how your images will display across different devices. In a mobile view, a three column layout will look significantly different than if it were on a desktop.

DIY Paper Wall Art with Origami Pyramid Pixels - Easy Tutorial and Decorating Ideas

09:21
Easily make your own stunning 3D DIY Wall Art with this easy to make and fun to play with origami pyramid pixels. No cuts, no glue and no tape! Each triangular 3D pyramid is folded from 1 square of paper, and they are joined by folding on the back! Those new pyramid pixels are a very easy and fun way to create striking paper wall art. It takes only 30 seconds to make each triangular origami diamond (they do look a lot like precious stones if you use shiny paper!), and once you have made several of them, you can play with them to create triangles, diamonds, hexagons, stars and other geometric shapes. It's like Legos! Once you have decided on the shape, you can join the pyramids together by folding flaps on their back. You can then hang your paper wall art on a wall and use it to decorate the rooms in your house. You may have seen other DIY tutorials to create similar wall art, but they all require cutting, glueing and much more work. Those 3D paper pyramids are different, they are a new original pure origami model, created by Stéphane Gigandet. These origami pyramid pixels are compatible with the flat square origami pixels and triangle origami trixels, so you can mix and match them and be very creative! Next week I will also show how to make 3D tricorne pixels, so make sure to subscribe! Tutorial for the square paper pixels: https://youtu.be/RigANqmm2b0 Tutorial for the triangular paper trixels: https://youtu.be/SVE9hNgxF0I Before making the 3D pyramids, I recommend that you try the square pixels first as they are very similar, but they are easier to join as you can join them by folding on a table. Since the pyramids are in 3 dimensions, you need to join them by folding in the air, which require a bit more practice. We are creating a collective origami mosaic with the paper pixels, would you like to participate? The details are on https://origamipixels.com/participate-in-the-first-collective-origami-patchwork-mosaic Join us to create a great collaborative artwork! In the video, I use 15x15 cm (about 6 inches) origami paper (kami) to demonstrate how to fold and join the pyramids. The wall decor shining star is made with smaller 7.5 cm squares. And the big triangular wall decoration that is hanging in my book case is made from color copy paper (8 cm squares). Important note: those origami pyramids are an original origami model designed by Stéphane Gigandet and protected by copyright law. Do not publish videos, diagrams, instructions, photos etc. that show how to make wall art with those pyramids, and instead link to this video or embed it. Thank you. I hope you like those paper pyramids! Please leave a comment under the video to tell me what you think of them and what kind of wall art you plan to create with them! Please send me pictures of the wall art you create with those origami pyramids! My email is [email protected] I will add your pictures to the https://origamipixels.com web site and show them in future videos. Thank you very much, happy folding, and have fun playing with the origami pyramids!
Meteor Madness Gameplay

02:55
The first video of the gameplay for Meteor Madness, which is a work in progress. This will be delivered as a Windows 8 Style App late 2012. The video is a little bit jumpy compared to the normal game as the footage was taken from the game running in an emulator to get around problems capturing video on a Windows 8 App.

How to create a UI button - Getting into the code

03:19
In this second part of the tutorial, we will use the same web button which we designed in the previous part by using Photoshop. Don't forget to check out our site http://howtech.tv/ for more free how-to videos! http://youtube.com/ithowtovids - our feed http://www.facebook.com/howtechtv - join us on facebook https://plus.google.com/103440382717658277879 - our group in Google+ In this one, we will show you how to write an html using code from the CSS styles to place a UI button on a web page. Follow this step by step guide to learn how to write an HTML code for a UI button. Step # 1 -- Create a Blank Text Document In the first step, place the UI button image which we created in the first part of this tutorial into a folder. Change this folder's name to "Web_button" and create a blank text document in it. Step # 2 -- Begin the HTML Code Now double click on the text document to open it. Type in the "Html" tag as, "html" Here we are defining the CSS in the starting of the code by putting it in the head tag. For this purpose, open the Head tag, place the Style tag in it and define the "ID" of the button by placing "#" before its name as follows, head style type="text/css" #web_button Step # 3 -- Enter the Styling Code Once done, enter the styling code for the web button as follows, "Display: block; Width: 150px; Height: 50px;" This will set the button placeholder in a block style of "150 pixels" width and "50 pixels" height. Note that we are setting the height equals to the half of the image as we want to show the upper part of the button here. Once done, type in the following code, "background: url(web_button.png) no-repeat 0 0;" This will set the button's image over the link with specified position. Step # 4 -- Enter the Code for the Hover Image Now in this step, we define the mouse roll over image by typing in the following code, "a:hover#web_button {background: url(web_button.png) no-repeat 0 -50px;}" This will set the same image however this time when the mouse rolls it over, the lower part of the button will be displayed. Now close the "Style" and the "Head" tag and move over to the body of the html page by entering the "Body" tag. Step # 5 -- Enter the Anchor Tag Now define an "Anchor" tag by putting the same "ID" as given previously, and the "Hyper Reference" to the page where you want to navigate the button. For this purpose, enter the following code, a id="web_button" href="http://www.paypal.com" /a Once done, using the Css styles coding close the "Anchor" tag and complete the HTML code by closing the "Body" tag and the "Html" tag. Step # 6 -- Save the Code as Html After completing the code, save this file by typing its name as "web_button.html" and choose the "All Files" option from the drop down list. Step # 7 -- Open the Html Page After saving the file as html, go to the "Web_button" folder. There you will find your web_button.html file saved in it. Now double click on it to open the web page on a browser. Step # 8 -- Using the Web Button Once you have opened the html file, a browser window will open in front of your screen. There you will be able to see the ui button you created.
Responsive Web Design Tutorial #5 - Media Queries

10:28
Yo gang, in this responsive web design tutorial, I'll introduce you to media queries, which are at the heart of any responsive design. Media queries allow us to target specific CSS rules based on device parameters such as it's width or orientation, or it's device type. Coding Boot Camp Week 2

12:08
This Video Is Best When Viewed Full Screen. Week 2 Coding Boot Camp Objective: Learn CSS3 Box Model and CSS3 Grid. 1)Modify week 1 firstpage.html to include CSS3 box model using CSS3 grid. 2)Learn terminology (CSS3 box model, CSS3 grid, attribute, HTML5 CSS3 class attribute, HTML5 CSS3 id attribute). 3)download and install a on screen pixel ruler. 4)Practice using pixel ruler to measure screen width and height and other boxes on screen. 5)Create boxes that have a height and width and 1px border for HTML5 header element, HTML5 nav element, HTML5 main content element and HTML5 footer element. 6)Create a folder called bak0 within the webdev folder to periodically keep backup copies of your web pages. Search terms: Attribute. On screen pixel ruler. CSS3 box model. CSS3 border attributes. CSS3 grid CSS3 width CSS3 height CSS3 margin CSS3 grid column CSS3 grid row CSS3 grid fractions unit of measurement in pixels length in pixels HTML5 div Element increment decrement Tasks: Periodically backup firstpage0.html to bak0 folder. Increment the zero on the end of firstpage0.html for each copy. Create a box for the header element usng CSS3 grid that is 100% of the screen width and has a height of 100 pixels with a 1px solid blue border. Using a pixel ruler and pixels as the unit of measurement. Create a box for the nav element using CSS3 grid that is 100% of the screen width and has a height of 50 pixels with a 1px solid red border. Using a pixel ruler and pixels as the unit of measurement. Create a box for the main content element using CSS3 grid that is 500-600 pixels by 500-600 pixels with a 1px solid green border. Use CSS3 grid to place the box to approx. center of the screen. Create a box for the footer element using CSS3 grid that is 100% of the screen width and has a height of 75 pixels with a 1px solid purple border. Using a pixel ruler and pixels as the unit of measurement. Notes: There should be 16 columns and 4 rows. A lot of your beginning CSS3 Grid layouts will be trial and error. Make a small change to the code then test it in the browser. Use your pixel ruler to measure the box and to place it in approx. the center of the screen. If you want things to be what is called pixel perfect you can change the grid values until everything is symmetrical. I suggest you do this as an exercise after you are comfortable with grid. This concludes week 2 of boot camp. sound by: http://www.bensound.com

Perfectly Centering DIVs Horizontally and Vertically Every Time Using CSS3

04:22
• Title: Vertically and Horizontally Centered Divs • Tutorial sponsor: Quantico Singapore Copywriting and Content Marketing Courses (https://www.qc.sg) • Music: End of Summer and Pas de Deux • Author: Arjun Khara Here's a simple and effective way to always have your divs centered vertically and horizontally, using the CSS3 transform: translate( ); property-value pair. Here's the code snippet, including browser fallbacks: .centereddiv{ background-color: #000; position: absolute; width: 650px; height: 100px; top: 50%; left: 50%; -webkit-transform: translate(-50%, -50%); -moz-transform: translate(-50%, -50%); -o-transform: translate(-50%, -50%); -ms-transform: translate(-50%, -50%); transform: translate(-50%, -50%); Centering is a popular issue in CSS and gets a lot of attention just because it’s central to page layouts. we can simply use the property-value pair called Transform: Translate Translate shifts an element on a page on the X and Y axes and it accepts all values, including percentage and pixels. We simply put: transform: translate (-50%, -50%). That’s it. Now when we change the dimensions of the div to anything we want. You can see the div always remains in the center, because the browser is compensating for any width and height dimensions using the translate property. It’s really easy. It’s good practice to implement browser-fallback properties. So in addition to your code, you would simply add the browser prefix for translate like this. -webkit-transform: translate(-50%, -50%); -moz-transform: translate(-50%, -50%); -o-transform: translate(-50%, -50%); -ms-transform: translate(-50%, -50%); transform: translate(-50%, -50%);

Samsung Galaxy J8 – In-depth Review and Specifications (2018)

Galaxy J8 Full review, camera samples, gaming performance and more... Subscribe to Mobiscrub: http://bit.ly/subscribe-mobiscrub Samsung Galaxy J8 Price in India: INR 18,990 (64 GB) Samsung Galaxy J8 specifications: OS: Android 8.0.0 Oreo Processor: Snapdragon 450 1.8 GHz Octa-core Dual SIM: Yes 4G ready: Yes External memory: Yes, microSD up to 256 GB RAM: 4 GB Memory: 64GB Camera: 16MP f/1.7 + 5MP f/1.9, autofocus, LED flash Video: [email protected] Front camera: 16 MP, f/1.9, with LED flash Battery: 3,500 non-removable Display: 6 inches, Super AMOLED Screen resolution: 720 x 1480 pixels Bluetooth: Yes, v4.0 Fingerprint: Yes Body design: Unibody, polycarbonate Charging port: microUSB 2.0 FM Radio: Yes Video on chat - Yes Waterproof or Water resistant: No Notification LED: No Galaxy J8 display A massive 6 inch super AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1480 pixels that lends the device a fluid 18.5:9 screen ratio which you get with the flagships such as the Galaxy S8 and the Note 8. The 720p resolution is not all that great. The battery will definitely benefit from this as the massive screen won’t consume too much power since it’s a low screen resolution display. On the other hand, you miss the extremely sharp display that you could get with a 1080p resolution and games like modern combat 5 that you saw lacked sharpness. Additionally, you can’t enjoy 1080p video content either and are stuck with a 720p display. No Auto brightness mode. Galaxy J8 OS/Software On the software side, the J8 is running Android 8.0 Oreo with samsung experience version 9. Basically, it’s Samsung’s latest experience offering and comes with a few pre-loaded apps like the Google Suite of apps, the microsoft suite of apps some samsung goodies like smart things, voice recorder, internet browser, samsung pay mini, samsung mall, secure folder and samsung notes. It has an built-in FM player as well but only works with earphones connected. Galaxy J8 performance Powered by Snapdragon 450 1.8 GHz Octa Core processor which is at best a decent performer and comes with 4 GB RAM which is alright. The Antutu benchmark scores are really not high and is a mediocre 70,000. The Redmi Note 5 gives 76000, the Honor 7x gives 89000 and the Asus Zenfone Max Pro gives 114,000 in Antutu benchmark scores - all these devices are actually cheaper than the J8 and yet give better performance scores. So it’s really something to think about if performance is something that drives your buying decision. The J8 is not a slow device or it does not lag. But it’s not blazing fast and that’s alright because you’re not paying a lot of money. Galaxy J8 Gaming Games mostly run smoothly. Tried playing chameleon run, modern combat 5 and asphalt 8. Asphalt 8 ran very smoothly with sharp to decent graphics. Modern combat 5 ran smoothly, however, lack of 1080p display makes graphics look not so great. Galaxy J8 Build A polycarbonate unibody build and the quality doesn’t feel too flimsy or cheap. It has this nice matte finish to it with a soft texture that feels good when holding in your hand. Some people prefer metal - but i don’t really see that as a deal breaker of any kind. Galaxy J8 Design From a design perspective, it’s infinity display which is essentially a close to bezel-less 18.5:9 screen which delivers a really immersive experience. So the bezels are slimmer than many of its competitors, but really don’t expect its anything close to flagships like Galaxy s9 or OnePlus 6 or iPhone X. The chin and the forehead of the device are quite significant and far from a bezel-less design honestly. No water resistance or water proofing – and that’s ok because no phones in this segment have that. No quick charging. Fingerprint sensor at the back. J8 supports two SIM cards and one microSD card to expand storage by 256 GB. You have a microUSB port which is disappointing in the world of type C ports - and you get a regular charger with it which does not support fast charging. Still got the headphone jack! Also, no notification LED - and again not sure why not! Most other phones in this category come with the notification LED and it’s a pretty important thing The royalty-free music used in this video is 'Back To The Stars' by Nazar Rybak. Media Queries - Understanding the difference between min-width and max-width
