I get this question quite a lot. Considering that I have made many different video based on the topic, or rather surrounding topics, I thought that I should probably make a dedicated video about how you can turn it into a lucid dream. Today I want to answer a question I've heard a lot of you ask, namely: Does lucid dreaming cause sleep paralysis? So can lucid dreaming cause sleep paralysis then? Well the short answer is: Sometimes with certain methods, yes. This can be mostly avoided by not using certain methods though. That said, most of us will experience sleep paralysis some time in our lives, even if we never use those methods that can induce it. It occurs to a lot of people naturally, and so rather than simply focusing on avoiding it, it is probably wise to learn to stop being afraid so that if you do experience it you don't have to worry. Sleep paralysis is typically looked at as a negative thing. It is actually a GOLDEN opportunity to lucid dream, astral project, and achieve great strides in spiritual growth. I was asked a question about this from one of my viewers and initially I wasn't going to answer it. I have done videos in the past about lucid dreaming, astral projection, and OBE's. I have also spoken about negative astral beings, entities, and experiencing very scary negative entities in the dream state. However, out of curiosity, I typed in sleep paralysis into the search engine and was shocked at how much negative and fear based takes there were on sleep paralysis. For this reason I wanted to give my own spin on the subject which is diametrically opposed to the norm. I experienced sleep paralysis and many of these scary dream experiences in the past and realized it was a temporary rite of passage that has allowed me to now lucid dream frequently. I see it as a positive advancement in spiritual growth among many other things. It is only the perspective of fear that creates the chaos. Sleep Paralysis. What is Sleep Paralysis? In this video, Sleep Paralysis Explained, you'll find out! --- Sleep Paralysis. We've all heard of or experienced it, and to many of us it's a very scary thing. Is sleep paralysis dangerous though? The short answer, is no, but more about that in the video itself. Sleep Paralysis Explained: What is Sleep Paralysis? Sleep Paralysis: So what is Sleep Paralysis? Sleep Paralysis is something that happens to us during sleep. During the REM stage of sleep, dreams occur, and to prevent us acting out these dreams, we experience a form of sleep paralysis known as REM atonia that causes us to become paralysed, to prevent us acting out our dreams. This is a safety mechanism, and without it we'd get seriously hurt when dreaming. However, sometimes we can wake up partially, with sleep paralysis still in effect, and then things get a little scary. Since you're still dreaming, you'll be hallucinating somewhat - but you'll also see your room, and be unable to move. Again though, as I said earlier, is sleep paralysis dangerous? No, sleep paralysis is nothing to fear. You are still technically partially asleep, and while you may see scary and unpleasant things, none of them can actually harm you. Just stay calm, and ride it out, and you'll be just fine. Sleep paralysis also has it's positive uses. Sleep Paralysis Tip: If you get into sleep paralysis, simply keep your eyes closed and remain calm. Try to wiggle your fingers and toes a little, then wait. You should break out of sleep paralysis relatively quickly, in like 20-30 seconds. Sometimes it lasts a little longer, and most of the time it lasts even shorter than that. As long as you remain calm, sleep paralysis will not cause you any issues, and even if you don't, it's a very temporary experience that ends quickly. Another Sleep Paralysis Tip: Sleep paralysis can be used as a gateway to Astral Projection. In fact both of the Astral Projection methods I have personal experience with require sleep paralysis in order for you to project. When in sleep paralysis, simply imagine yourself climbing a rope up out of your body. You don't have to see the rope, just imagine yourself feeling it as you climb up out of your body. Sleep paralysis is completely natural. How To Have A Finger Induced Lucid Dream (FILD Lucid Dreaming)

Today I want to share with you a technique that might sound kind of funny at first but that's actually one of the easiest and most effective techniques that I've ever used for inducing lucid dreams. The FILD Lucid Dreaming technique is actually quite similar to the WILD technique (which I recently did a guide on) however unlike the WILD method with FILD you don't how to experience sleep paralysis. And for this reason it makes FILD VERY attractive to beginner lucid dreamers. So how exactly does FILD work? First you simply go to sleep and then wake up after a few hours. You have to make sure that you are still tired and are in a state where you are already drifting back to sleep. You might need to set an alarm for this. Then once you have woken up and are starting to fall back to sleep you should start to perform the finger induced lucid dream technique which involves moving your index and middle finger up and down very slightly in an alternating fashion almost as if you are playing a piano. The key however is to not press your fingers down so hard that they would actually be able to press a piano key down but just enough that it applies pressure. I show an example of the correct way to do this in the video. Then after what feels like about thirty seconds you should perform a reality check. The reality check should be one that's simple and that involves minimal movement. A good one is to hold your fingers over your nose and then try to breathe through your nose. If you can do it then you are dreaming! And when you go to perform this reality check provided that you performed the FILD technique correctly there's a very, very high chance that you will find yourself inside of a full blown lucid dream! Induce A Lucid Dream In 9 Seconds: PART 2!

READ THIS: How to induce a lucid dream in 9 seconds PART 2! If you’ve seen the first one this is going to answer most of the questions and comments from that video, and explain a little bit more about it. We had lots of questions about my first video saying ‘The video took 6 minutes but the title say 9 seconds’. Let me explain: The technique, WHEN YOU PERFORM IT will take 9 seconds to induce a lucid dream. The technique WHEN I EXPLAIN IT to you in that video, takes 6 minutes to explain. Surely it’s obvious that I couldn’t fully explain a technique to you in 9 seconds. Another big question was ‘can I move to turn my alarm off’. Yes you can. Make sure you alarm isn’t a panic sounding alarm and instead is a soft sounding or relaxing tone. This will let you wake up slowly, turn it off and then go back to sleep doing the FILD method. How the FILD method works in very simple terms: 1: Set your alarm to go off 6 hours from when you go to sleep (If you are a gamer and don’t normally sleep until 4am this WON’T WORK for you, you’ll need to have a healthy sleep pattern where you normally go to sleep before midnight). 2: When your alarm goes off, slowly move, turn it off (ideally keeping your eyes closed but you can open them if you have to) 3: You’re going to go back to sleep now. Don’t move, don’t open your eyes, just relax. 4: AS YOU FALL ASLEEP, imagine you’re gong to move your first two fingers on one hand very slightly back and forwards. As if you’re alternating between pressing two keys on a keyboard that are next to eachother. 5: The reason you’re doing the finger movement is to DISTRACT yourself from your body falling asleep and you entering SLEEP PARALYSIS. Once you’ve gone past sleep paralysis and you’re just entering a dream, you’ll already be lucid. Please experiment with it yourself, let me know how you get on. I’ll try and answer comments as well as fast as I can, but please try and help each other out in the comments section. PREVENTING SLEEP PARALYSIS & BASIC FACTS ABOUT SLEEP PARALYSIS: In today's Lucid Dream Clinic episode I'm going to talk about sleep paralysis, share some facts about sleep paralysis and more specifically explain how to not get sleep paralysis, and also how to stop sleep paralysis if you do get it. SLEEP PARALYSIS EXPLAINED: Sleep paralysis 101: So when it comes to how to avoid sleep paralysis, first we need to understand it. So first up, sleep paralysis explained: During sleep, our body puts us into something called "REM atonia", where the body paralyses to prevent you acting out your dreams. Sleep paralysis is a state where you wake up during REM atonia, still paralysed, and often hallucinating. Due to our body's threat responses firing off at this time, it can often be quite scary. One of the most important sleep paralysis facts to remember though is that no matter how scary it is, the unpleasant stuff you might see or hear cannot harm you. PREVENTING SLEEP PARALYSIS: So, how to not get sleep paralysis then? Well we already know some sleep paralysis facts, in particular some facts about sleep paralysis causes - like erratic sleep patterns or sleeping on your back, so one of the best ways to prevent sleep paralysis is simply to minimise these contributing factors. While there is no definitive sleep paralysis cure that will prevent sleep paralysis from occuring forever, there are lots of things you can do that can help when it comes to how to stop sleep paralysis. LUCID DREAMING SLEEP PARALYSIS: But what about if you're a lucid dreamer? Is sleep paralysis an issue then? When it comes to lucid dreaming sleep paralysis can definitely occur with certain methods. How to avoid sleep paralysis then? Well certain methods increase your chance of entering sleep paralysis, because they try to transition you directly into a lucid dream. Such methods like WILD (Wake Induced Lucid Dreaming) carry a significant risk of you encountering sleep paralysis, while other methods like MILD (Mnemonic Induced Lucid Dreaming) or DILD (Dream Induced Lucid Dreaming) don't have any increased risk. So when it comes to how to avoid sleep paralysis when lucid dreaming, the answer relies in focusing on those methods that don't involve a direct transition into the dream - but rely on causing you to be aware once you're in your next dream. HOW TO STOP SLEEP PARALYSIS & WHAT TO DO IF YOU EXPERIENCE IT: So, now that you know how to not get sleep paralysis, or at least how to minimise the risk, what happens if you end up with sleep paralysis anyway? What should you do in sleep paralysis? What's the best method when it comes to how to stop sleep paralysis once you're in it? Well, first up, simply keep your eyes closed to minimise any hallucinations you see. Then try to wiggle your fingers and toes, this will speed up how quickly you stop sleep paralysis. You can even perform an exit method and induce an out of body experience/astral projection at this point (check out the Astral Projection videos on my channel for more info). WHILE THERE MAY BE NO SLEEP PARALYSIS CURE, THERE ARE ALWAYS WAYS TO PREVENT SLEEP PARALYSIS: Anyway just remember, while there may be no sleep paralysis cure, there are many ways to prevent sleep paralysis from having a likelihood of occurring - and even if it does occur, it doesn't last long. You're also perfectly safe and not at any risk while it happens. A tonne of people have been leaving comments and questions on my channel about sleep paralysis so I thought it was time for me to do a video that's all about sleep paralysis! In this video I'm going to explain exactly what sleep paralysis is, I'm going to talk about some of the causes of sleep paralysis, I'll be showing you how to stop sleep paralysis and probably coolest of all... I'll show you how to turn sleep paralysis into awesome lucid dreams. In a nutshell though sleep paralysis is actually a perfectly normal phenomenon and it happens every night as we fall asleep. At a certain point every night your body will enter a state of paralysis so that when you do enter a dream that you don't try to act out your dreams in real life (and cause yourself real harm!). The good news though is that sleep paralysis is not dangerous at all and by understanding what sleep paralysis is and how it works you can take the fear out of it too. My best thing about sleep paralysis however is that it means that you are SUPER close to a lucid dream.. as I explain more in this video! You'll learn easy Lucid Dreaming rather than being given one of the harder techniques right off the bat, since after all this is a guide on How to Lucid Dream for Beginners - and is designed to help you have your first Lucid Dream ever. What is Lucid Dreaming? Lucid Dreaming is the art of being aware that you are dreaming from within a dream. Once you learn how to Lucid Dream, this will also come with the ability for you to control the dream. So, Lucid Dreaming means unlocking control over what happens during your sleep. Being able to end nightmares early or turn them into positive dreams. The ability to turn into your favourite character or superhero. Flying around endless, using super-powers. Facing your fears. No. Once you're ready and set and awake during an REM cycle, the method for how to Lucid Dream itself will actually only take 2-3 minutes, so you'll be Lucid Dreaming in no time. We'll just call it 5 just in case it takes you a little longer to fall back asleep.
