CTMD is the most powerful natural health mineral supplement which contains natural mineral concentrate that restores the minerals in purified water, thus giving the body the supplements it needs to be healthy. It’s impossible to underestimate the importance of minerals and trace minerals for the human body. They are the catalysts for all the vitamins and other nutrients your body uses for developing and maintaining good health. CTMD captures the perfect balance of those minerals. CTMD is 100% natural with no other ingredients added. It contains a full spectrum of all the minerals in a balance natural to the body. It is highly concentrated being 78 times more concentrated than sea water and contains over 72 ionically charged trace minerals that have been extracted from the world’s oldest inland sea, the Great Salt Lake. CTMD is the perfect solution for replenishing your body with the nutrients you need to maintain optimum health. CONCENTRACE TRACE MINERAL DROPS Due to the increasing human population there has been an increase in the amount of pollutants found in the environment, and water must now be 'purified'through chemical means in order for it to be safe for us to drink. Still, all of the chemicals and pollutants are not removed and so often we use the process of distillation and reverse-osmosis to purify the water further. However, as well as removing contaminants, these processes also remove the minerals that are naturally found in water and which are essential for our health and well-being. ConcenTrace Trace Mineral Drops contain natural mineral concentrate that restores the minerals in purified water, thus giving the body the supplements it needs to be healthy. How Do ConcenTrace Trace Mineral Drops Work? When pollutants, contaminants, chemicals, additives, and toxins are removed from water by distillation or reverse-osmosis, the water becomes purified to an unnatural state, where even beneficial minerals are removed. When this purified, mineral deficient water enters the body, it balances itself with the bodily fluids by absorbing minerals from cells. This not only depletes minerals that are needed by the cells to function properly, but some of the mineralized water is excreted, the minerals leaving the body, thus depleting it further. ConcenTrace Trace Mineral Drops contain natural mineral concentrate that is taken from the Great Salt Lake in Utah. 100% natural with no other ingredients added, these drops work by mineralizing the water before it enters the body, so for one minerals are not extracted from the cells, and for two those areas of the body lacking in minerals can obtain them from the water. This provides the body with the natural mineral supplements it needs to function properly that had been depleted from the water by purification. How to Use Mineral Drops It is easy to consume. Just add a few drops to your hot or cold drinks or food. 20-40 drops per day for adults; 1 drop per 2 kg weight for children. It can also be applied externally. Apply one or two drop on affected areas. You may also dilute 40 drops of ConcenTrace in 50 ml. water and spray it over your face or body parts to give you a refreshing feeling. You may also use ConcenTrace in cooking to enhance the flavor and nutrition of your food. Use of ConcenTrace is not limited only to human beings. It is also good for plants and animals: One bottle (60 ml.) contains one thousand (1000) drops. 20-40 per day recommended for person below average health. 3 to 4 drops per 250 ml. to re-mineralize distilled water. You can use ConcenTrace for your own drinking water, that of your pets, or plants. As our bodies naturally accumulate and use minerals, you can also supply your body with the minerals by adding ConcenTrace to any food or beverage at any time. A 60ml. fluid bottle can last up to approximately 1 month, depending on the dosage used, however you don't need to worry about the concentrate being affected over this time period. As a result of its pure concentration, the drops are naturally preserved and experience no bacterial growth. You may see minor crystallization; however this is only due to the super-saturation of the product, and will have no effect on its quality.

12 Worst Product Recalls

09:00
Here are the top 12 most shocking product and toys recalls in the world from food that could give you e. coli to other product fails! Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr 6. Kitetube Doesn’t it sound like a great idea to get put on a kite and have a high power boat drag you through the sky? Not really! The kite tube was made by Sportsstuff inc and it was basically a 10 foot wide circular inflatable watercraft that becomes airborne. People would try their best to stay on the kite tube 39 people were injured while operating this device, 29 of which needed hospitalization. Some of the injuries were quite severe, including: a broken neck, a punctured lung as well as facial injuries. Two of these people actually lost their lives. The suggestion statement on the product was featured next to crossbones and states:” never fly the kite higher than you are willing to fall.” Makes sense right? About 19,000 of these were recalled in 2006. 5. Samsung Galaxy Recalls Samsung recalled the Note 7 smartphones recently in 2016 after some of the batteries exploded or caught on fire! Samsung Note 7’s were being recalled from shelves in 10 countries including South Korea and the United States. People who bought the Note 7 could switch it out for something new but people were disappointed with the product failure. There were 35 confirmed instances of this new smartphone catching on fire and even exploding! It was estimated that 1 in every 14000 had faulty batteries but most likely, no one is going to want to take that risk unless it’s the new iphone. Most customer stated that the phone exploded while being charged. This goes to show, just the smallest errors in things like this can lead to dangerous products. This is mostly due to high powered lithium batteries, storing too much energy. Guys might want to consider not placing this phones in their pockets if they're planning on having kids someday. 4. Tommee Tippee Sippee Cups 3.1 Millions of these children's cups were recalled for a rather strange reason. The spill proof cups were becoming infested with mold spores in the removable, one-piece, white valve. Even when cleaned, moisture would remain in this area and some parents just wouldn’t clean this part. There were over 3,000 consumer reports of mold in the valves and 68 concerned parents reported illnesses from their children. The angry parents, posted photos on the Tommee Tippee Sippee Cups facebook page to show their disgust with the product. Consumers are advised to stop using cups with piece white valves. The company agreed to replace the cups, in an attempt to keep some of their customers. 3. Baby Milk Powder This doesn’t sound too appetizing. A huge scandal took place in China when an infant formula were containing a substance known as melamine was uncovered. This lead to an estimated 300,000 victims in total. Some children reportedly suffered from kidney stones and serious kidney damage with nearly 54,000 children being hospitalized. This lead to serious health concerns in china and a fear of exported goods from this country. Many countries refused to import goods from here, especially dairy products. The Chinese government prosecuted many people who were to blame executing two, placing 3 in prison for life and other serious punishments were administered. The substances placed in the milk were not well tested and over 2100 tons of powdered milk was destroyed and 9000 recalled. 2. Firestone and Goodyear Recall Possible one of the worst defaults by a tire company, firestone and Goodyear tires were exploding and shredding like no one had seen before. When ford motors found several models of 15-inch Firestone had severely high failure rate, this lead to the rightful closing of manufacturing plants. But the tires were still out there! Firestone ultimately demanded for a recall of over 2.8 million tires! This eventually led to 175 deaths and 700 injuries for firestone while much fewer were affected by goodyear tires. 1. Chinese Product Recall In 2007, China demanded a huge product recall and import bans were placed by the US, Canada, EU Australia and New Zealand when they began realizing certain products weren’t safe. Products shipped from China like pet food noticed that animals were falling ill and dying. It turns out it has the same chemical, melamine, that was placed in the baby milk powder. But this was just the tip of the iceberg. Marvel toys, recalled 175,000 dolls that apparently contained excessive amounts of lead paint. Lead is known to damage brain cells especially in children. In 2007, over 467 product recalls. An estimated 32 percent of all toys China exported contained lead. Toys like hotwheels even contained a deadly poison known as arsenic! The most likely reasoning for this is that heavy metals are much cheaper and using any other substance would likely push their costs up.

Products That ONLY Exist in Japan

10:11
If you know anything about Japan, you probably know they love technology and unique consumer products, and their inventors work overtime to come up with some great inventions, but at times, also some peculiar ones. Watch as we countdown the most interesting products only available in Japan. Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr Watch our "Evidence That Aliens HAVE Visited Earth " video here:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iL227eb9FSI Watch our "CRAZY Ideas That Actually Worked!" video here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0n2wEAiOcg Watch our UNBELIEVABLE Items Found After Tsunamis !" video here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNNLwdBI7Gk 7. Coffee flavored water Have you ever craved a coffee, but not wanted the caffeine or the stains on your teeth? Japan has just the beverage for you, coming in at number seven. Beverage company Asahi has solved the problem for you, and has created coffee flavored water. The natural mineral water is flavored like an espresso with milk. It’s a sweet drink, but has no calories, no caffeine and no fat. Would you want to try it, or are you a coffee purist? 6. Brain-controlled cat ears Are you one of those people who likes wearing animal ears and tails? If so, our number six product takes it to a whole new level. The company Neurowear has come out with a pair of ears that can read your brain wave activity so the ears can react accordingly. Appropriately called Necomimi (literally “cat ear”), the product will react with you. Showing a sudden increased level of attention and interest in something? The ears will perk up, just like a real cat’s. Feeling relaxed? The ears will move into a more relaxed, bent down position. Japanese culture uses a lot of nonverbal communication, so the ears were designed with communicating certain reactions in mind. The company hopes to eventually expand the technology to create mind-controlled wheelchairs and cars, but for now, you’ll have to settle for looking and reacting like a cat. Litter box not included. 5. Floating hotel pod Lately, it seems like more and more travelers are looking for a unique experience, with hotels around the world located in treehouses, underwater and other unique locals. At number five, in Nagasaki, you can stay at a theme park built as a replica of a European town. There is a canal built to look like Amsterdam, along with museums, shops and restaurants built to resemble parts of Europe. As if that wasn’t strange enough, the company that created it has introduced floating hotel pods. These futuristic pods can accommodate up to four people, have two floors, and are designed to float to an island the company owns. An overnight stay in this floating hotel room will cost you $300, and reaction to it has been mixed- previous clients say the views are spectacular; others worry about floating at sea encased in something so small. Would you want to stay there, or would you worry about drifting off into obscurity? 4 Paper to toilet paper recycler This next item is a great idea for those who are environmentally conscious and who use a lot of paper! The White Goat was introduced at an Asian conference for eco-products, and was designed to recycle used office paper into toilet paper. The machine shreds the paper, makes a paste with added water, then dries that into sheets which are then rolled into toilet paper rolls. It’s a pretty large machine, so it would probably only be practical in commercial environments, so don’t get your recycle bin ready just yet. What a useful idea! 3. Toilet slippers While we’re on the subject of toilet paper, here comes our number three item. A lot of you will probably be familiar with the Japanese custom of removing your shoes once you enter the home. The Japanese are very concerned with cleanliness, and don’t like to track their dirt into the house. This extends even further, to the bathroom. It is not unusual for Japanese homes to have separate slippers available just for use in the bathroom, the theory being if you’re barefoot or in socks or house slippers, you don’t want to get those dirty with bathroom germs and then track those through the house. Separate shoes for outside, inside and inside the bathroom only? Yep. It’s Japan. Why not? 2. Crazy dessert flavors. If you have typical Western opinions about ice cream, now that I mention it, you are probably contentedly imagining something sweet, creamy and delicious. What you are probably NOT picturing, however, is shrimp or horsemeat. Those are just two crazy examples of ice cream flavors available in Japan. Japan is known for having fantastic food, but for the Western palate, their creativity in a beloved dessert might seem over the top. Squid ink, miso ramen, deep-fried oyster and jellyfish are all flavors I wish I were making up, but they are all flavors of ice cream one can find in Japan. For some reason, I don’t see these catching on at Baskin Robbins… 1...

What is PRODUCT STEWARDSHIP? What does PRODUCT STEWARDSHIP mean? PRODUCT STEWARDSHIP meaning

04:13
What is PRODUCT STEWARDSHIP? What does PRODUCT STEWARDSHIP mean? PRODUCT STEWARDSHIP meaning - PRODUCT STEWARDSHIP definition - PRODUCT STEWARDSHIP explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ Product stewardship is where environmental, health, and safety protection centers on the product itself, and everyone involved in the lifespan of the product is called upon to take up responsibility to reduce its environmental, health, and safety impacts. For manufacturers, this includes planning for, and if necessary, paying for the recycling or disposal of the product at the end of its useful life. This may be achieved, in part, by redesigning products to use fewer harmful substances, to be more durable, reusable and recyclable, and to make products from recycled materials. For retailers and consumers, this means taking an active role in ensuring the proper disposal or recycling of an end-of-life product. Those who advocate it are concerned with the later phases of product lifecycle and the comprehensive outcome of the whole production process. It is considered a pre-requisite to a strict service economy interpretation of (fictional, national, legal) "commodity" and "product" relationships. The most familiar example is the container-deposit legislation. A fee is paid to buy the bottle, separately from the fee to buy what it contains. If the bottle is returned, the fee is returned, and the supplier must return the bottle for re-use or recycling. If not, the collected fee can be used to pay for landfill or litter control measures. Also, since the same fee can be collected by anyone finding and returning the bottle, it is common for people to collect these and return them as a means of surviving. This is quite common for instance among homeless people in U.S. cities. However, the principle is applied very broadly beyond bottles to paint and automobile parts such as tires. When purchasing paint or tires in many places, one simultaneously pays for the disposal of the toxic waste they become. In some countries, such as Germany, law requires attention to the comprehensive outcome of the whole extraction, production, distribution, use and waste of a product, and holds those profiting from these legally responsible for any outcome along the way. This is also the trend in the UK and EU generally. In the United States, the issue has been confronted via class action lawsuits that attempt to hold companies liable for the environmental impact of their products. Thus far, such as litigation or proposed accounting reforms such as full cost accounting have not gained much traction for the product stewardship concept in the United States beyond the realm of academe and corporate public relations (derisively referred to as greenwashing). The demand-side approach ethical consumerism, supported by consumer education and information about environmental impacts, may approach some of the same outcomes as product stewardship. Product Stewardship is often used interchangeably with Extended producer responsibility, a similar concept. However, there are distinct differences between the two, as suggested by the semantics of the different terms used. While both concepts bring the onus of waste management for end-of-life products from the government to the manufacturers, Product Stewardship further extends this responsibility to everyone involved in the life-cycle of the product. This includes not only the manufacturers, but also the retailers, consumers and recyclers as well.

Antibacterial Products: More Harm Than Good?

02:59
By Heidi Hatch(KUTV) Many of us look to antibacterial products to keep our families safe and healthy. However, antibacterial products may do more harm than good. The FDA is weighing the risks verses benefits of antibacterial products carrying the chemical triclosan. Although, this has been a topic of debate for decades, the FDA is now saying they are nearing a final decision on whether products in the U.S. can continue to use the chemical. The stepped up urgency has come in recent years with tests indicating the chemical could be a carcinogen, could wreak havoc on the immune system and interrupt the work of the thyroid gland that controls your body€™s hormones. Triclosan is most commonly used in antibacterial soaps that line store shelves, but is also found in other products, including deodorants, body-wash, clothes, toys, laundry soap, and toothpaste. Joshua Redd, a chiropractic physician, is one of a growing number of doctors and activists concerned about what triclosan can do to the body. Redd says a new study on the chemical is, €œpretty alarming, showing decreased heart function by 25% and muscle function by 18%€ when triclosan is introduced to lab animals. The European Union banned triclosan in most of its products years ago over concerns that have been widely reported on for decades. Redd explains, €œOur thyroid hormones are crucial and with triclosan mimicking your thyroid hormones it can cause a slew of different problems in the endocrine system.€ He says it can cause €œearly onset of puberty, and problems with testosterone, estrogen and the reproductive system.€ Nixon was president when the FDA started reviewing the chemical. In 1972, Congress asked the FDA to officially investigate the safety of triclosan. Six years later, the FDA published its first tentative guidelines, saying triclosan is not generally recognized as safe and effective, Flash forward 40 years and studies show triclosan is no better than old fashioned soap and water for cleaning your hands, but at the same time could be creating antibiotic resistant germs. The only thing triclosan has ever been approved for is toothpaste. Colgate uses it in some of their products to fight gingivitis. While it can help in preventing gingivitis, some doctors wonder if it could do more damage as it is easily taken into the blood stream through the mouth. A recent study shows 75% of Americans test positive for the chemical in their urine, as well as in the breast milk of nursing mothers. As for the slew of concerning studies there is one significant problem€”most of the studies have been done on animals as opposed to humans. Dr. Dev Abraham, an endocrinologist who specializes in thyroid cancer at the University of Utah, points out that €œin animal models the dose of compounds is often hundreds to thousands higher than what we are exposed to on a day to day basis as humans.€ Making the connection he says, at this point, may be a leap. He is waiting for a clear ruling from the FDA, but until then, he tells his patients, €œIf you€™re not sure, and concerned, the best thing is to buy is plain soap.€If you want to check the products you use at home, look on the back. Soaps and cleaning products will list triclosan as an active ingredient. In clothes and toys it will be listed as an €œanti-microbial€ product or under the chemical name microban. Because the chemical is used in many products, it also makes its way into ground water where it becomes a chemical known as dioxin€”a cancer causing agent. The FDA has committed to making a decision in the next few months. And while they are looking at science, you can be sure there are large multi-million and billion dollar companies urging them to rule in their favor. Antibacterial products are big sellers and huge money makers that could cost companies who use them. Here€™s what the FDA has said to date: http://www.fda.gov/forconsumers/consumerupdates/ucm205999.htmMayo Clinic response: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/triclosan/AN02141(Copyright 2013 Sinclair Broadcasting Group)

In Praise of the (Agile) Product Owner

04:48
43. In Praise of the (Agile) Product Owner // Who has the toughest time "Being Agile"? Is it the Dev Team? Is it the Lead Developer? What about the Business Owner? Or is it... the Product Owner? → SUBSCRIBE for a NEW EPISODE every WEDNESDAY: http://www.DevelopmentThatPays.com/-/subscribe Arguably, it's the Product Owner that has the toughest job "being Agile". Building software in small, iterative cycles is easy to "sell" to a development team. But it takes nerves of steel on behalf of the Product Owner to trust that product features will build over time. Music: 260809 Funky Nurykabe: ccmixter.org/files/jlbrock44/29186 You've seen these guys before. Question. Who has the toughest time being Agile Is it the Dev Team Maybe The Lead Developer Possibly. The Business Owner Could be. Or is it... (and I think it might be...) The Product Owner. Boxes and Walls ---- Hi this is Gary Welcome to 'Development That Pays'. I wanted to turn the spotlight on the Product Owner. But I could't decide what to talk about Then Vlad came to my rescue with this great comment that gets right to the heart of one of the hardest aspects of being a Product Owner. "Problem now is that some of them do not upgrade, and continue to use the “boxes” to climb the wall…" Clearly, that's going to need some context. A recurring theme here on Development That Pays are the twin concepts of do the right thing, and do the thing right Way back in Episode 2, i used the metaphor of two walls Each wall is a potential business opportunity. And each ladder represent is a product. What more important: building a great ladder or, picking the right wall Well, any old ladder will get you up the wall But... the walls lead to very different places. So we can say that: Picking the right wall is more important than building a great ladder. Doing the right thing is more important that Doing the thing right. HOWEVER... There's a fatal flaw in the argument And that's what we went on to talk about in Episode 3 From this point, both of the walls look the same. From this point you can't see what's on the other side So you've no choice but to climb up there and take a look. It's Catch 22. You need to pick the right wall... But you can't pick the right wall until you've climbed the wall which you can't do without... picking a wall! One thing is for sure: If we’re going to have to climb a wall that may turn out to be the wrong wall Then this is no time for Do The Thing Right. No, this is the time to get there quickly and cheaply Certainly not an escalator Nor a staircase. A ladder would be a good choice Or even - dare I say it - a pile of boxes. Getting Stuck with the Boxes ----- We now have the context we need for Vlad's comment. Vlad's concern is that we get stuck with the pile of boxes ... even after we've found the perfect wall. Come with me now to a meeting. The meeting was called by the Product Owner She has an an idea for a new product. She's invited the entire dev team. to come and discuss a new product idea. She walks up to the whiteboard and draws something that looks a lot like an escalator A discussion follows. The dev team is clearly concerned about the scale of the task At a certain point, the lead dev walks up to the whiteboard and says What about if we start by building this... ... then we can come back and build this ... then this ... then this From there it should be easy to build what you've asked for. Quick aside ---- At this point, I'd like you to take a moment and notice how you feel about this plan of action. Are you comfortable with it Do you have concerns Back to the Meeting ---- My guess is that these guys [the developers] like the idea For them, it's an easy sell: This thing [the escalator] looks like a nightmare to code. This thing [the pile of boxes] looks straightforward. Could be live by the end of the week. Bish bash bosh. What about the Product owner How does it look from her point of view The picture isn't nearly as rosy. First of all, there's a big different between what she asked for and what she's going to get - at least in the short term Then there's the "challenge" that version two is CONDITIONAL on the success of version one (And version one looks so ropey that it's hard to see it being a success!) And if the first version is a success, what then How long will it be before it can be built The Dev team have spare capacity now... but will they have spare capacity a month from now Hard to say. And we haven't even talked about stakeholders. If the Product Owner agrees to this course of action, her next job - when she leaves the meeting - will be to 'sell' the approach to various internal stakeholders. None of which https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0Ax7eJuNX8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=502ILHjX9EE

Top 10 strange gmo food and products that you use daily Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] Description: The world of science has reached some incredible heights when it comes to technology. But science is much more than just robots and looking for the next biggest technological breakthrough. Science has also made major innovations when it comes to the food industry and the environment. Because the world has done some great damage to the environment around us, scientists have had to try to mend the damage by using genetic engineering. Whether resources are depleted or the natural course isn’t convenient for big business, scientists come in and fill in the gaps with genetically modified products. GMOs, also known as genetically modified organisms, are becoming a hot button topic in the food industry. The public is concerned about whether or not consuming GMOs might lead to bad health problems like cancer and allergies. Major corporations insist that there isn’t a problem, but local farmers say otherwise and are being put out of business. In this video are some of the strangest genetically modified products. We know that these products aren’t handcrafted by Mother Nature herself, and surely there are risks. All thanks to science, we are now consuming foods that defy the laws of nature. From square watermelons to bananas that have the vaccination for hepatitis B, these products are purely man-made. But time will only tell whether or not these genetically modified products are for the betterment of society or the downfall of it or it could actually save the world from starvation and disease. African Hair Summit Links Health Issues To Black Hair Products

02:21
With a new report linking fibroid, cancer and other health challenges to black hair products, some concerned persons in partnership with the federal ministry of health, are meeting over a two day period in Abuja to critically consider the issue. Correspondent Joy Uzor says the meeting is tagged “the African hair summit 2016.” Only a handful of participants in this summit are wearing their natural hair. This emphasises the significance of the gathering, to promote the true beauty of the African hair. Over the years an increasing number of Africans have sadly abandoned their natural hair for the relaxed Caucasian style. Unfortunately new research has linked devastating health concerns to the toxic chemicals in many black hair products especially relaxers. Infertility, respiratory disorders, fibroids and even cancer are serious health concerns now linked to the flourishing black hair and beauty industry. It is out of the desire to sensitize people on the dangers associated, that the idea of the African hair summit 2016 was born. The summit has in attendance, champions of the course who are committed to promoting the mental and social wellbeing of members of the society. One of them is popular actress Kate Henshaw. Aside encouraging the manufacture of local organic hair products and hair businesses, organisers say the summit will also serve as a platform to showcase and celebrate the beauty of the natural African hair so African women can begin to appreciate their true identities, stay off chemicals and encourage a healthy life culture and style.

Facebook: “If you're not paying for the product you are the product.”

05:10
What are Facebook’s ulterior motives as a news aggregator? And what does it feel about journalists and their craft? The world turns now to Emmy Award winning media and legal analyst Lionel of Lionel Media for his take. • There's an old expression coined in the 70s by Richard Serra perhaps: “If you're not paying for the product you are the product.” The last thing that anyone is concerned about is news. It’s not news. So what is Facebook? • Facebook is a vacuum cleaner of you. Likes, dislikes, pictures, facial recognition, politics, music, history, whereabouts, tracking. • You think some nerdy kid developed this on his own without government help? • News today is not broadcasting but narrowcasting. Just look at Fox in particular. It gives you the world the way you'd like it to be, with subject matter only you want. • News platforms in the US are dissolving and news organizations are the last to know. Behold this, this is not the future – this is now. • So remember, Facebook wants you on Facebook. Are you familiar with crating your dog? That’s what Facebook wants. If it could feed you it would. • One day you will live in Facebook perhaps as your town. • You know those stupid games that you're always invited to join, that’s to indoctrinate you into virtual and alternative currency. One day instead of a salary you’ll get Mafia Wars points or FarmVille or whatever. • If you think Facebook is social media, you're mistaken. It’s a world. And you’re the product. Natural Hair, Consumerism & the Product Junkie | (+ Locs / Dreadlocks)

09:19
I love that the natural hair movement hit the U.S. with a vengeance because it was the movement that made me even consider returning to my natural hair in the first place. There is one aspect of the movement that I have been less excited about and it is the consumerism aspect. It seems that people are less concerned with loving and getting acquainted with their natural and more so concerned with buying products in the hopes of making their natural hair do something they saw on YouTube, TV, etc. I think the amount of money we spend on products is to our detriment and is really hurting our wallets and impeding our ability to accept ourselves as we naturally are. I am not completely against using products but I am against the mindless consumerism and the birth of the "product junkie." Think of my channel as your personal Black Hair Compass; pointing you in the right direction, whatever your hair type. Flight Gear Battery Pack for iPad - Product PIREP

03:40
The all-new Flight Gear Backup Battery for iPad is the pilot’s answer for charging mobile devices on the flight deck. We took it flying to explore some of its unique features. Shop Now: https://www.sportys.com/pilotshop/flight-gear-backup-battery-for-ipad.html This battery packs some serious power, 20,000mAh of capacity to be exact, but its slim shape will fit in any flight bag. Two 3 amp USB ports deliver enough power to charge multiple iPads at the same time while those iPads are being used by the pilots. A total of four USB ports are available to charge your devices, three standard USB-A ports (like those found on computers and wall chargers) and one USB-C output port. Made for pilots Any time you add an electronic device to the cockpit you run the risk of interference with the radios. We’re very concerned about that problem, so we’ve tested the Flight Gear Battery pack in multiple aircraft and through hundreds of flight hours to ensure that it won’t become a nuisance in the plane. You only need one cable Charging this battery is as simple as it can get. No more trying to find the proprietary charging cable or a certain type of cable you may not normally carry. The Flight Gear Backup Battery can be charged with a Micro-USB, Type-C, or Lightning Cable. What this means is you only need one cable to charge this battery and then also charge your device. Total flexibility. Safety features The microprocessor inside the battery constantly monitors the battery health for any concerns. In the event of a problem, the battery will shut down until the issue is resolved. The Flight Gear battery protects against these issues: - Temperature fluctuation - Over-charge - Over-discharge - Over-voltage - Over-current - Short-circuit protection Intelligent charging The Flight Gear Battery detects the optimal charging current for any connected device and delivers that amount of power. This saves the battery power and more efficiently charges your devices. The USB-C port on the battery doubles as an In or Out charging port. Based on the connection detected, the battery will either accept power from the charging cord if it’s plugged into a power source or the same port can deliver power if the battery detects that there is a battery requiring a charge connected to the cord. Pass-through charging is supported with the Flight Gear Battery Pack as well. This means that you can plug the battery into the wall and your device into the battery and both devices will charge off of the wall. Perfect for the night before a flight - now you can make sure everything is charged in one set up. Shop all Sporty's products: https://www.sportys.com/pilotshop/

How To Interview Product Managers | Interview with Jeana Alayaay

22:04
Last week, we dug into the various product manager personas, and how to go about sourcing candidates. If you missed the episode, you can check it out here: https://youtu.be/QVcsOh0Yfbs. This week, we’re going to talk about another critical step when it comes to hiring product managers: interviewing. Unlike interviewing engineers and designers, where you can test their ability to code and design and their responses provide tangible results, it’s harder to formulate questions related to one’s skill and abilities as a product manager that will produce concrete responses. Let’s face it—product management is more nuanced because it often requires people to have experience analyzing data and making decisions related to the goals of the business, in addition to some technical skills. Exposing the spectrum and depth of these capabilities can make interviewing product managers a challenge. For example, it maybe easy to evaluate if someone can organize a backlog of user stories, but harder to evaluate whether they are really capable of creating and prioritizing a product roadmap that balances out various business goals and milestones to an acceptable level of quality and depth for your team. Plus a product team usually has one product manager who interfaces with many engineers and designers, so hiring the first product manager who is going to gel with all those people puts them under a lot of scrutiny. To handle all these challenges, many companies end up crafting their interview process to resemble a standardized test that candidates end up studying for, rather than demonstrating key skills that they will be using to support the team and product. It’s no wonder some of the best candidates fall through, and companies feel stuck with a product manager who underperforms. This episode is a must watch if you’re a hiring manager who is concerned about losing a talented product manager, or you’re a product manager who is trying to assess a company’s interviewing process. In this episode, we’ll share some best practices around interviewing and coming up with objective criteria to use when screening candidates. Jeana Alayaay, Director of Internal Products and Services at Pivotal, is back to help us out. As you watch today’s episode, you’ll learn the following: - Why there is such a thing as being a bad interviewer - How to prepare the people who will be interviewing candidates - How to expose skill sets during the interview - How to regroup after the interview - Why candidates that don’t meet a checklist are sometimes still hired - How to set expectations with candidates when your company is going through a period of change - How expectations and the role are different when you are the first product manager on a team -- Build is produced as a partnership between Femgineer ((http://femgineer.com/) and Pivotal Tracker (http://www.pivotaltracker.com/). The Facless Guru- 3 Phases of Information Product Marketing

05:05
Hey there The Faceless Guru Here...And today we are going to learn about... The 3 Phases of Information Product Marketing Information product marketers tend to go through three distinct phases in their careers. By knowing what to expect, you can prepare yourself for these different phases, as well as work towards progressing through them faster. Here are the three phases of being an information marketer. *The Unknown Phase In this phase, you're an unknown in the industry. You're driving primarily "cold" traffic - through pay per click, through SEO, through article marketing, etc. Your conversions are generally pretty low; from 0.25% to 1.5%. Your conversions depend primarily upon the strength of your sales letters. This is the most difficult phase of being an information marketer. Unfortunately, it's also the phase that a lot of people get stuck in. Marketers will also often keep starting new websites that end up in this phase, rather than progressing existing websites to the next level. * The Take-Off Phase The take-off phase starts when you've figured out a way to successfully sell one product. For example, if you've figured out how to profitably sell one product via Google AdWords, that marks the beginning of the take-off phase. Once you're successfully selling one product, then your concerns change quite a bit. Instead of getting a business off the ground, you're now increasing business. It's a very different mindset. The two primary things that people in the take-off phase are concerned about are building a list and creating new products. If your initial product is good and you have solid upselling skills, you can often get as much as 10% to 25% of your buyers to buy from you again - even if the next item is significantly more expensive than the first. That's why it's so important to start adding more products. Building your list will allow you to start developing more long-term influence and clout in the industry, as well as build your most powerful marketing tool. * The Solid Reputation Phase Getting to this phase usually takes nine months to a year and a half of solid progress. At this stage, you have a reputation in the industry. People know who you are and what your company stands for. You'll start getting traffic that just comes from direct type-ins and people who Googled your company name. This is "reputation traffic" - word-of-mouth traffic. You'll also see your conversions increase, without you having to change your sales letters. Again, this is because people know you're not a fly-by-night website. You have a reputation, which builds trust. People are more willing to pull out their credit cards and place their faith in you. At this point, your main concerns are adding high-ticket items and subscription programs. This is the stage at which you'll start to have "hyper consumers" - people who will buy anything you put out. It may be time to roll out that $1,000 DVD program or $10,000 live program. Or perhaps roll out that $47 a month subscription. You have the trust to do it. These are the three typical phases of an information product marketing website. Don't get stuck in the first one - progress through each phase as quickly as you can. The real money is made in stage three, not stage one. That completes today's lesson, go ahead and subscribe by clicking this button here and leave a comment if you found this video helpful and remember to tune in next week to learn about How to make a squeeze page. The no make up look of the Parisian woman. Four products to achieve the AU NATUREL look.

06:34
Summer is just around the corner. Time to break out our breezy dresses and pretty sandals. It’s also time to re-evaluate our makeup. What is the Parisian woman's makeup routine? What's their secret? For one, it's easy to adopt the Parisian ways at home when it comes to makeup. You just have to use less of it. French woman is not flashy. She simply loves to look like she got out of bed, tied her hair back, put on some mascara, and went about her day! In reality, it takes a little bit more than that, but it is still simple. First, let's talk about skincare. The French women have a special approach to beauty. It’s hard not to be intrigued by their minimal yet perfect and effortless makeup. Arguably, every woman's goal is to walk around looking like they flawlessly woke up like this, but it all starts with proper skin care. It’s no secret that French girls know how to take care of their skin. They’re all about embracing their own beauty. That means taking their makeup prep very seriously. To get that French glow, they always make sure their skin is properly cleansed before applying their makeup. As far as makeup is concerned, the Parisian favors the no makeup look which is very subtle. It includes a blush, a highlighter, a mascara and a neutral lip color. It is just enough to give you a pretty polish but also looks completely natural. This takes almost no time to apply and is a great look for every day. The lesson is don't rely on makeup for a complete makeover, instead, use it to enhance your natural features. I have selected Bobbi Brown products for this vlog because the name Bobbi Brown is synonymous with a natural makeup look that is universally flattering, never goes out of style, and always looks like "you, only better." In addition, it has become one of the favorite makeup brand of the Parisian. Enjoy!!! Google Home Hub Unbox, Full Setup, and How To Use

19:53
Google Home Hub Unbox, Full Setup, and How To Use If you're considering a purchase of the new Google Home Hub, or you've already purchased one, this unbox and set up video of the Google Home Hub is what you're looking for. I get the new Google Home Hub set up in your home and show you what this new smart home device can do. As far as I'm concerned, the new Google Assistant-enabled Smart Displays are the pinnacle of home automation and life automation, and this device doesn't disappoint. After I unbox the #GoogleHomeHub I get the device plugged in and setup. I show you the different components on the display, I show you the size and some of the physical aspects that you can expect. The first thing I noticed when I received my Google Home Hub was the fact that it was a relatively small box. It's not any larger than a Google Home box and probably is smaller overall. Not only that, but Google did not waste a lot of space and material on the packaging. Once I did manage to get the Google Home Hub out of the box, it was still remarkably small. It's a 7-inch smart display with #GoogleAssistant #madebyGoogle with a speaker on the back/stand. The display is sharp, beautiful, and really does the new Google Smart Display interface the justice it deserves. The plugin is a nice 15W standard power adapter (I like that better than USB), and the device's setup is simple and easy. If this is your first Google Home product, then you'll have a few extra things to set up, but in general, this is easy and straightforward. After you get the Google Home Hub setup, you can go ahead and use it. Of course, you can do everything that a Google Home or Google Home Mini (or Max) can do. You can play music, hear the news, get stock prices, get definitions, translations, information, navigation information, use a calendar, get recipes, and the list goes on and on. I show you just some of those great functions, and I also show you the new home control navigation capability on the device, as well as Google Duo calling (audio calling, because there is no camera). The new home automation menu and navigation is intuitive and feels like it's been designed in tandem with the Google Home application. All in all, the Google Home Hub does not disappoint and I'm already in love with the device. The next thing to do? Compare it to its competitors. The "Beauty Dilemma": beauty is valued but discounted in product choi.. (CHI 2009)

01:02:12
The Beauty Dilemma: beauty is valued but discounted in product choice CHI 2009 Sarah Diefenbach Marc Hassenzahl The empirical study of aesthetics in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) is concerned with - among other topics - the relationship between beauty and usability and the general impact of beauty on product choice and use. Specifically, the present paper explores the notion of a beauty dilemma - the idea that people discount beauty in a choice situation, although they value it in general (i.e., they are not choosing what makes them happy). We explored this idea in three studies with a total of over 600 participants. Study 1 revealed a reluctance to pay for beauty due to its hedonic nature (i.e., associated with luxury etc.). Study 2 showed that people prefer a more beautiful product, but justify their choice by referring to spurious advantages in usability. Finally, Study 3 revealed that a choice situation which requires a trade-off between beauty and usability, and which offers no further way to justify choosing beauty, leads to a sharp increase in the preference of usability. The underlying reasons for this beauty dilemma and further implications are discussed.

Tiger Brands, Shoprite, Pick n Pay & Boxer remove listeriosis products off the shelves

01:18
Tiger Brands is to remove all Enterprise products from shelves following the linking of polony to listeriosis. Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi announced earlier that an Enterprise factory in Limpopo had been found to be the source of the outbreak of the disease. More than 170 people have died. Shoprite said it had on Sunday afternoon started removing all ready-to eat-processed meat products produced by Enterprise Foods and Rainbow Chicken from its perishable departments and delicatessens. The National Consumer Commission had issued these manufacturers with notices to recall all products produced in their Polokwane, Germiston and Free State factories and to cease production as a result of tests linking the plants to the Listeria monocytogenes ST6 strain, Shoprite said. "Customers are also invited to return any Enterprise Foods and Rainbow Chicken processed meat (cold meats like polonies, Viennas, Russians etc) products they have at home for a full refund," Shoprite said.  Retailer Pick n Pay has withdrawn all listeriosis-linked food from its shelves, the company said on Sunday. “Following the minister of health’s announcement earlier this afternoon [Sunday] on the source of the listeria outbreak, Pick n Pay has acted immediately to withdraw all products from the manufacturing sites identified by the department of health,” Pick n Pay group executive for strategy and corporate affairs David North said. Earlier, Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi said processed food manufacturers Enterprise and Rainbow Chicken Limited (RCL) had been issued with safety recall notices following a lengthy, in depth investigation by scientists into the listeriosis outbreak in South Africa. Scientists had identified the Enterprise food production facility in Polokwane in Limpopo as the source of the current listeriosis strain ST6 outbreak.  Preliminary results showed that several ready to eat processed meat products from the Enterprise facility in Germiston in Gauteng contained listeriosis monocytogenes, but the sequence type was not yet known. “Investigation of the RCL Wolwehoek [near Sasolburg in the Free State] production facility is also underway. Polony products have tested positive for L. monocytogenes, but the sequence types of the isolates are not ST6,” Motsoaledi said. North said Enterprise and Rainbow supplied a very broad range of retailers across South Africa.  All Enterprise products, including the Bokkie, Renown, Lifestyle, and Mieliekip brands had already been recalled by the company concerned and Pick n Pay was urgently withdrawing them from its shops. “In addition, all ready to eat products, such as polony and russian sausages manufactured at the Rainbow facility in Sasolburg are also being withdrawn.  This action is taking place in all Pick n Pay and Boxer stores. In addition, as a precaution, Pick n Pay branded chicken polony, manufactured by Rainbow, is also being withdrawn,” he said. All fridges and food preparation areas in Pick n Pay shops would now be re-cleaned to prevent any cross-contamination. Recalled meat was being isolated and would be safely destroyed. “The safety of customers is always our top concern. Any customer who is concerned that they may have bought a ready to eat meat product linked to the outbreak can return it to our stores for a full refund,” North said.

Readi Grass Product Review for Guinea Pigs

08:45
My review on Readi Grass and similar dried grass products - they are great to feed guinea pigs as a treat, don't take their normal good quality hay away from them though! I also rant about the mouldy hay I bought from my local pet shop! Dried grass is different to hay because it is grown then cut short then dried quickly - the drying process removes all fungal spores and parasites which may be present in hay. Hay is left to grow long before being cut and dried slowly, it is the long fibers which are very good for guinea pig's digestion and for wearing down their teeth. You can feed dried grass... * As a great healthy treat your piggies/bunnies will enjoy instead of sugary high fat treats often available in pet shops. Please don't buy these unhealthy products - they may be attractive to us as customers in a pet store, and our pets may enjoy them, but only because they are junk food! * When fresh grass is no available like in winter. * To sick piggies who need to eat when they might not feel like it. They may eat dried grass even when they refuse to eat hay or pellets - the high fiber content will help to keep their digestive systems going. Some concerns associated with dried grass products: * Too much calcium - the 2:1 Ca:P ratio is slightly higher than recommended (but fine for young piggies, hence why it says developing skeletons on the pack), though in my opinion this is fine as long as they don't have an unlimited supply of readi grass. If you are worried keep an eye on their urine for white deposits and if they are gritty to the touch you might want to consider lowering the calcium in your pigs diet to avoid bladder stones. Links for more information on calcium and the Ca:P ratio: Veg and the Ca:P ratio explained: http://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/showthread.php?37030-Feeding-your-Guinea-Pigs-A-Balanced-Diet-%28incl-Ca-P-Ratio%29 Bladder stones: http://www.guinealynx.info/stones.html Calcium and hay: http://www.guinealynx.info/hay_calcium.html * Bloat - just like feeding too much grass too soon in spring, dried grass products may bring with them a risk of bloat. If you are concerned or think you have a piggie sensitive to bloat, introduce the grass slowly.
