Luxury lounge: the interior Freedom is the defining design feature with a new luxury slant. This explains the A8’s resemblance to a lavish, spacious lounge. Compared to the predecessor model, it has grown substantially in length in both body versions. The range of equipment and materials is extensive, with every detail radiating superlative bespoke quality – from the perforation in the seat upholstery to the electrically opened and closed shutters on the air vents. The classiest seat in the new Audi flagship model is in the rear right – the optional relaxation seat in the A8 L that comes with four different adjustment options and a footrest. In this seat, the passenger can warm and massage the soles of their feet on a unit with multiple settings incorporated into the back of the front-passenger seat. The new comfort head restraints complete the experience. The rear passengers can also control an array of functions such as ambient lighting, the new HD Matrix reading lights and seat massage, plus make private phone calls, via a separate operating unit. The rear seat remote, with its OLED display as large as a smartphone, is a removable unit housed in the center armrest. Fingertip response: the controls The luxury sedan’s interior deliberately adopts a reductive design; the interior architecture is clear and with a strictly horizontal orientation. Audi carries its high quality standards into the digital age with a radically new operating concept. It does away with the familiar rotary pushbutton and touchpad of the predecessor model. The instrument panel is kept largely clear of buttons and switches. At its center is a 10.1-inch touchscreen display which, when off, blends almost invisibly into the high-gloss black surround thanks to its black-panel look. The user interface appears as soon as the car is opened. The driver controls the Infotainment system with fingertip control on the large display. They can use a second touchscreen display on the center tunnel console to access the air conditioning and comfort functions as well as make text inputs. When the driver activates a function in the upper or lower display, they hear and feel a click by way of confirmation. The glass-look operating buttons respond in the same way. The combination of acoustic and tactile feedback along with the use of common touch gestures such as swiping make the new MMI touch response especially safe, intuitive and quick to use. The A8 can also engage in intelligent conversation. The driver can activate an array of functions in the automobile using a new, natural form of voice control. Information on destinations and media is either available on board or is delivered from the cloud at LTE speed. The extensive Audi connect range also includes traffic sign recognition and hazard information – innovative car-to-X services that draw on the swarm intelligence of the Audi fleet. The extensively optimized navigation is another new feature: It is self-learning, based on the route just driven. This provides the driver with intelligent search suggestions. With its two twin scroll turbochargers, it develops 430 kW (585 hp) from a displacement of 5,950 cm3. Its 800 Nm (590.0 lb-ft) of torque is available constantly between 1,300 and 5,000 rpm. Like the 4.0 TFSI, the twelve-cylinder engine features COD (cylinder on demand) technology. At low loads and engine speeds, it shuts down the left-hand cylinder bank to trim fuel consumption. The new Audi A8 and A8 L are being built at the Neckarsulm site and will appear on the German market in late fall 2017. The starting price for the A8 is EUR 90,600, with the A8 L starting at EUR 94,100. They bear a similarity to the concept of house brands, private label brands (PLBs) in the United States, own brands in the UK, and home brands in Australia and generic brands. They are distinct in that a store brand is managed solely by the retailer for sale in only a specific chain of store. The retailer will design the manufacturing, packaging and marketing of the goods in order to build on the relationship between the products and the store's customer base. Store-brand goods are generally cheaper than national-brand goods, because the retailer can optimize the production to suit consumer demand and reduce advertising costs. Goods sold under a store brand are subject to the same regulatory oversight as goods sold under a national brand. Consumer demand for store brands might be related to individual characteristics such as demographics and socioeconomic variables. A store brand is a way of relating to different customers. Different types of store brands can relate to a customer through the choice of branding and building a relationship with the consumer. Store brands can relate to a consumer through various characteristics such as different demographics. The store brand is the only brand in which the retailer has the full responsibility of control such as development, sourcing, warehousing, merchandising and marketing. Whereas retailers make different decisions about national brands and leave it up to the manufacturer. With a store brand it is more important for the retailer as it plays a more definite role in the achievement or failure of its own label. This information is based on data from 34 food categories at 106 major supermarket chains, which operate in the largest 50 retail markets in the U.S. (Dhar, S. K., & Hoch, S. J. 1997) Although national brands have long dominated the retail scene, retailers generally use their national brands to draw customers to their stores. Recently department stores, supermarkets, service stations, clothiers and chemists have started to increase more store brands. Studies show that consumers are buying more and more store brands and don’t plan on returning to national brands anytime soon. (Kotler et al. 2013) Store brands are generally cheaper than national brands, which, with consumers becoming more price-conscious and less brand conscious, has increased store brand sales. (Kotler st al. 2013) Some marketers have predicted that store brands will eventually knock out all the strongest national brands.( Kotler et al. 2013) Store brands have a tendency to generate higher margins than national brands. Store brands have previously been known as low-price and low quality brands, but now they are currently positioned as value brands and brands with the aim to have the quality equivalent to manufacturer brands, but with lower prices. Retailers in the USA and Europe have made huge investments to launch store brands with the main object of securing significant financial benefits. Retailers have developed store brands in almost every product category and their economic value is constantly increasing. Store image, store loyalty and store satisfaction have a positive impact on the acceptance of store brand extensions. Sometimes the retailer’s brand image depends on the images that the store brands set. Although the store brands have positive impacts on the retailers image. “Retailers can find a rationale for investing in their store brand range in order to differentiate themselves from their competitors.”( Kremer, F., & Viot, C. 2012). The retailers store brand image should relate to their own store brand and the price image of the store brand is positively related to the retailer price image. The relationship between store brand loyalty and store loyalty still remains unknown. Research suggests a non-monotonic relationship between store brand loyalty and store loyalty, positive up to a certain store brand loyalty level, after which it becomes negative. Current arguments recommend this relationship may relate to the competitive positioning of store brands, especially their price-quality positioning. .....

The narrow, raked headlights, which flow seamlessly into the radiator grille, give the ŠKODA KODIAQ a distinctive appearance. The two double-headlights create a striking four-eyed face and stand out due to their crystalline structure, which can also be seen in other features such as the rear lights. Price will always be a factor, of course, but in this video, I’ll share three ideas to help you boost your perception in your industry, and limit the power of “price only” in your prospects’ decision-making. First, let’s understand something. Price is definitely an important consideration for any B2B customer. But they’ll probably agree that saving a few dollars isn’t always worth it if they are sacrificing quality or customer service. My job as a designer and creator of brands is not merely making cool logos and pretty websites. It’s creating perception. Your job as an industry leader is to create the perception that you are actually an industry leader. But most companies create their brand image by default. There are always fires to put out, and contracts to fill. The day to day emergencies of your business can get in the way of doing the work to deliberately create the perception that you provide unmatched value. So here are three ways to change that. 1. Your brand image matters. A logo is not clip art for the top of your website. It’s an icon, a symbol that generates a feeling in those who see it. When a prospects sees it for the first time, along with your other branded collateral like your website or brochure, they get a sense of your level of professionalism. The care and effort you put into your brand image reflects on the care and effort you will put into their business. Now whether they can consciously articulate that or not, they know it. And they feel it. And you get ranked accordingly. 2. Small things add up. You’d be surprised how little things like the design of your business card, or the texture of the paper of your stationery can shape the perception of your entire organization. How are your invoices prepared and shared? How are emails and proposals presented? Every individual touchpoint between your company and your prospect work to create a perception - positive or negative. 3. If you ship or deliver products to customers, how are they packaged? How are they delivered? How are they received? The experience of receiving your product - be it physical or digital - is powerful in the minds of your customers. It’s not just about slapping a logo on a brown box. It’s about creating an experience that your customer will want to repeat again. The consumer products that are perceived as the highest value understand this. They don’t use branded, expensive packaging because they happened to have it lying around in the back. They create an experience out of every step - buying, receiving, opening, and using. Your B2B customers are the same human beings. They know the feeling they had opening that amazing consumer product. If you could give them the same feeling, they notice, and appreciate it. And want it again. Which brings me back to number one, your logo. Because after an experience like that, your logo becomes even more to them than a symbol of your value and professionalism. It’s now a visual reminder of the feeling they got when they bought your stuff. They see it, and they have an emotional response to it. It doesn’t mean they’d be willing to pay anything for it. The powertrain is brand new with the 2.0-litre i-MMD four-cylinder petrol engine works in consonance with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery pack to deliver over 190bhp power and 306Nm of torque. The hybrid powertrain is mated to a CVT to transmit power to the front wheels. The Honda Accord competes with the Toyota Camry, the Skoda Superb and the Volkswagen Passat. While technically the prime competitor is the Camry Hybrid, the price tag pitches it against the Audi A3 and the Mercedes CLA. Reaction was so positive that the concept made it to production as the stunning LC 500 halo coupe that went on sale last year. At the introduction of the LF-1 Limitless crossover concept at this year's Detroit show, Lexus' U.S. team wasn't waiting for audience input to push for headquarters to send a production version — immediately, if not sooner. "Sawa-san," Lexus General Manager Jeff Bracken said — addressing Yoshihiro Sawa, president of Lexus International — during the concept's debut, "we have to build this vehicle." Bracken: Lexus is aiming higher. Bracken's eagerness to add an exotically designed "flagship crossover" at the top of Lexus' lineup signals the direction he'd like to take the brand as it slips farther from the luxury sales crown it owned for more than a decade. Rather than follow Mercedes, Audi, BMW and Jaguar into less-expensive, entry-luxury territory to boost sales volumes, he aims to stake out more ground in the upper tiers of luxury, where Lexus has only a thin presence. It's a logical progression from the LC 500 flagship coupe, which can easily crack $100,000, and the redesigned LS flagship sedan that goes on sale next month at a starting price of nearly $76,000 with shipping. "If you think about where so much of our volume comes from, it's more in the $35,000-to-$55,000 range," Bracken told Automotive News. "And so that higher-end market in the luxury industry has been ... an area where we haven't been in as much as we'd like to be in." The LF-1, should it be made, "could be another halo product for us, not only from a standpoint of styling but price positioning," Bracken said on the sidelines of the Detroit auto show. That doesn't mean Lexus has given up on its quest for sales growth. But the priority will remain on brand image, dealer throughput and the customer experience, Bracken said. German competitors each have a hundred more U.S. dealerships than Lexus and are pushing into price tiers where Lexus won't go, lest it encroach on its full-line partner, Toyota. If German brands "dip below $30,000 MSRP or even transaction price, there's a lot of volume there," Bracken said. "And since our strategy is not to go below $30,000, it just makes it a more competitive environment in the luxury industry as we try and fill more premium gaps." Lexus cut its entry-level hybrid, the CT hatchback, in the U.S. last year as volume dwindled. To take its place, Lexus is developing a small crossover based on the UX Concept vehicle, although Bracken wouldn't give any details. Lexus also finally introduced a three-row version of its best-selling RX midsize crossover in November. The RXL now trickling out to dealers should add around 15,000 in new sales this year, Bracken said. With 71.7 percent of Lexus' product mix going to crossovers and SUVs in December, investing in a production version of the LF-1 could be a needed pivot upmarket as the brand matures, analysts said. "They need to stretch the brand in this direction, and the LC 500 was a great first step," said Karl Brauer, a senior analyst at Kelley Blue Book. "The LF-1 Limitless would be a great follow-up, particularly because as beautiful as the LC 500 is, it has a big flaw: It's a car." If Lexus wants to steal some real volume from rivals, it needs a crossover in that space, he said. While the LF-1 is designed around the LS sedan platform, Brauer sees it conceptually as more of an extension of the LC 500, given its styling cues. Kevin Hunter, president of Toyota's in-house Calty Design Research arm, said the LF-1's break from current Lexus styling toward a more liquid, exotic look eventually could trickle down to other segments. "One of our key terms at Lexus right now is 'brave design,' " Hunter said at the Detroit show. "We want to take chances."
