Why GREAT WHITE Sharks Are The BIGGEST Ocean Predators!

12:06
This is Why GREAT WHITE Sharks Are The BIGGEST Ocean Predators! From having 7 rows of teeth to being one of the largest apex predators, this top 10 list of amazing facts about these ocean creatures explains why they are on top of the food chain! Subscribe For New Videos! http://goo.gl/UIzLeB Watch our "REAL Mermaid Sightings Around The World!" video here: https://youtu.be/ChM0CBRmVsM Watch our "10 Sea Monsters ATTACKING A Boat!" video here: https://youtu.be/0XROvoPCDNc Watch our "STRANGEST Animals People Keep As Pets!" video here: https://youtu.be/OMa96nPqz-Y 11. They go through over 1,000 teeth At any time in their life, a great white shark can have up to 300 teeth, which are arranged in seven rows. Each tooth is pointed, razor-sharp, and up to three inches long. The teeth aren’t strong, however, and they come out pretty easily. In order to reuse the calcium, the shark will swallow the teeth that fall out as often as possible. 10. They can live over 100 years The ocean’s most feared predator lives for a long time. Until 2017, the generally accepted estimated lifespan of the great white shark was 70 years. According to a National Geographic article published last year, however, a new and more accurate method of measuring the ages of sharks shows that many shark species may live decades longer than previously thought. 9. They have very strong senses Great whites have 6 highly refined senses of hearing, touch, taste, sight, smell, and electromagnetism which I’ll tell you more about in a bit. While sharks have had millions of years to develop these senses, the sense of smell of a great white, is exceptional! Smithsonian Ocean reports that a great white can smell a single drop of blood floating in 10 billion drops of water. 8. Largest predatory fish Although great whites are not the largest shark species, (that would be the whale shark), they carry the distinction of being the largest known predatory fish on Earth. They eat marine mammals that weigh several hundred pounds or even larger on a regular basis. 7. They have a 6th sense Despite their remarkable sense of smell, and ability to detect chemicals, it’s not usually the primary hunting tool of a great white shark. Instead they find food using electroreception. They are extremely sensitive to electric fields and can detect a charge from a single flashlight battery connected to electrodes 16,000 km apart. 6. They roll their eyes To protect their eyes from getting damaged, great whites roll them into the back of their head whenever they’re attacking. Their eyes don’t have protective membranes or eyelids; therefore, great whites can’t close their eyes. Instead, they roll them back, and are unable to see their prey while attacking. 5. They must move constantly Great white sharks breathe using a process called ram ventilation. Water “rams” into their mouth as they swim and exits through the gills, extracting the necessary oxygen. If a great white stops moving, it will therefore stop breathing and die. 4. They migrate great distances These large sharks are highly migratory. Besides having to swim constantly to stay alive, great white sharks travel great distances for seasonal food, for their young and sometimes to congregate in the middle of nowhere for no known reason. 3. Bad Reputation According to the International Shark Attack file, great white sharks are responsible for the most attacks on humans. In the past 400 years, the species has reportedly attacked 314 humans supposedly without provocation. 80 of the attacks were fatal. However, great whites are extremely curious animals and are attracted to splashing and noise. 2. They aren’t picky eaters Some animal species have a reputation for being willing to eat pretty much anything, and the great white shark is one of them. They prefer tuna, dolphins, whales, seals, sea turtles, and seabirds, but will eat fish, including other sharks. Sometimes, great whites even eat sea snakes and crocodiles. 1. Their behavior is largely a mystery Scientists and researchers have been unable to fully understand some of the great white shark’s behaviors. For one, the mostly solitary animals intermittently reunites with other members of its species. Great whites meeting and traveling in groups typically avoid dominance battles and conflict. In certain places, however, distinct hierarchies exist. Origins Explained is the place to be to find all the answers to your questions, from mysterious events and unsolved mysteries to everything there is to know about the world and its amazing animals!

Diver's Encounter With Mysterious 26-Foot Sea Creature

02:41
From the video, the amorphous blob seems to stretch on for a mile as it snakes through the water, dwarfing the two divers who surround it. For 47-year-old videographer Steve Hathaway, the Oct. 25 sighting near a small, volcanic island located about 30 miles off New Zealand's most northern point, put an end to a search that lasted more than a decade. "I've always wanted to see one," Hathaway said in an interview Wednesday discussing the 26-foot-long #pyrosome - a colony of tiny sea animals that link together into a free-floating mass. Their mysterious features and #bioluminescent glow have caused some scientists to dub them the "bizarre unicorns of the sea. They reportedly feel "like an exquisitely soft feather boa." "I was beyond excited, this is like finding something that you've dreamed of for so many years," said. Although they're often described as wormlike creatures, pyrosomes are actually more closely related to humans. Some of the earliest reports of pyrosomes came from sailors in the 1800s who noticed their bright glow while sailing. Hathaway said he and his friend, Andrew Buttle, were shooting underwater footage for a promotional video about New Zealand's White Island when they encountered the sea creature. Buttle's family has owned the island since the 1930s, which contains an active volcano and diverse flora and fauna. Even though the bulk of his 11-year filming career has taken place underwater - and he's swam with animals such as whales - Hathaway said he'd never encountered a pyrosome of any size until that moment. When he became aware that one was lying on the ocean floor beneath him, he knew he had to move quickly to film it. "I've been underwater a lot and I've seen a lot of animals," he said. "I know nature waits for nobody, and I couldn't let this opportunity pass me by." Hathaway said Springtime on the island brings an abundance of phytoplankton, which pyrosomes feed upon, possibly explaining the reason he encountered one now. "The fish in general get bigger at White Island than they do in other places in New Zealand," said Hathaway, a lifelong New Zealand resident. "The location is rich in food for animals around the island." Linsey Sala, a scientist at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in California, said that while not all pyrosomes grow to be the size of the one Hathaway encountered, some found near New Zealand and Australia can "get quite large," in some cases reaching up to more than 45 and 60 feet long. Pyrosomes are comprised of thousands of smaller individual beings, called zooids, which help the pyrosome feed and navigate the ocean via jet propulsion, Sala said. Though pyrosome sightings are not necessarily rare, they typically are seen by divers and other people who spend a lot of time in the water. "I would say it's remarkable and exciting to come across a pyrosome colony that size," Sala said. Fascinated by the world's oceans as a young boy, Hathaway said he would read stories of people embarking on oceanic adventures with a sense of envy, and was particularly fascinated by the marlin, which "he used to have dreams about." He went on to found Young Ocean Explorers, an entertainment and storytelling platform for children that encourages them to love the oceans and marine life. Hathaway said he hopes catching the pyrosome on video will spark an interest for others, similar to how images of marlins intrigued him as a child. "It's always been about wanting to go see these things for myself and then sharing them with others," Hathaway said. "Even the most articulate person in the world couldn't describe that creature that we filmed."

24 Animals That Are Often Confused for One Another

10:05
How to Tell Similar-looking Animals from One Another. There are approximately 7.7 million species of animals on our planet. With such an abundance of life forms, it's not surprising that people tend to confuse certain animals. We’ll teach you how to tell even the most similar looking animals from one another. You’ll never make the old mistakes again and will be able to easily find the difference between crocodiles and alligators, llamas and alpacas, leopards and jaguars and many other creatures. TIMESTAMPS Rabbits vs hares 0:46 Moths vs butterflies 1:35 Sheep vs goats 2:21 Hedgehogs vs porcupines 3:15 Llamas vs alpacas 4:11 Crocodiles vs alligators 4:56 Sea lions vs seals 5:50 Wasps vs bees 6:37 Frogs vs toads 7:15 Dolphins vs porpoises 7:54 Turtles vs tortoises 8:29 Leopards vs jaguars 9:04 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -Hares are typically faster and larger than rabbits. Their ears and strong hind legs are also longer, and they have bigger feet. -Butterflies have club-shaped antennae that look like a thin shaft with a bulbous tip. As for moths, their antennae are either serrated or feathery. -You will notice that sheep hold them down whereas the tails of goats proudly stay up. -Like all rodents, porcupines have big front teeth. As for hedgehogs, their snouts and teeth are pointy, and they are omnivores, feasting on insects, frogs, plants, and fruit. -Mature llamas are much larger than alpacas, whose weight typically varies between 100 lb and 170 lb. As for an adult llama, it can weigh as much as 400 lb. -Crocodiles are the lucky owners of special glands, which they use to excrete excess salt. As for alligators, their salt glands aren't so well developed. That's why they mostly live in fresh water. -Sea lions' flippers are larger and covered with skin. Seals have a thinly webbed flipper, and each small toe has a claw. Seals prefer solitude, and sea lions love gathering in big companies and hanging out with friends. -Bees are hairy: they need this feature to dip into flowers to collect pollen. Also, their rear legs are flat. Bees look more stocky. -The skin of most frogs is smooth, while a toad’s skin is thick and bumpy. Frogs' legs are long and slender, and their eyes are big and bulging. -Most dolphins have pointy faces, curved dorsal fins, and slender bodies. Porpoises have triangular back fins, robust bodies, and rounded faces. -Turtles have webbed feet as they live mostly in water, and this makes swimming easier. Also, their shells are lighter and flatter. -You can find jaguars in Central and South America and sometimes in the southwest of the USA. As for leopards, they dwell in Asia and Africa. Jaguars have smaller spots. Leopards are more slender and a bit smaller than jaguars. 10 Most Dangerous Beaches for Deadly Shark Attacks

03:04
Get more Tips here! www.destinationtips.com Shark attacks seem to be on the rise in many parts of the world, therefore, you might want to steer clear of the following known shark-infested waters. Statistically, these are among the most dangerous beaches for deadly shark attacks. 1. Pernambuco, Brazil The shockingly high attack rate in these waters appears to be due to over-fishing. Without enough food supply, the sharks have begun to sample other forms of fare to satisfy their relentless hunger. 2. Second Beach, South Africa The beach is popular among shark-seeking tourists and cage divers. Tour operators dump boatloads of bloody chum in the water order to entice the great whites. You definitely don’t want to surf or swim anywhere near these boats and their chum lines. 3. New Smyrna Beach, Florida More than 238 shark attacks have been documented at Florida’s (surprisingly) popular New Smyrna Beach. In fact, 15% of worldwide shark bites have occurred here. Most of the bites are courtesy of baby bull sharks that favor these waters. To date, none of the recorded attacks here have been fatal. 4. Velzyland Beach, Hawaii About 41 different shark species that frequent Hawaii’s waters including aggressive specimens like bull sharks and great whites. The last fatal shark attack at this beach occurred in 1994 when a tiger shark attacked a surfer. More recent attacks on surfers have been reported, but none fatal. 5. New South Wales, Australia This region, which includes famous Bondi Beach, has recorded more than 170 unprovoked shark attacks and more than 50 fatal attacks, and great white shark encounters are more common here than in other parts of the world. Due to the position of the continental shelf, swimmers and surfers are in close proximity of deep waters where these potential predators cruise. 6. Fletcher Cove, California Fletcher Cove may be picturesque, but it is also the scene of 142 unprovoked shark attacks, including some recent fatalities. Scientists are convinced that the fish-strewn waters in this region are ideal feeding grounds for large predators like the great white. 7. Reunion Island, Indian Ocean This island has had more than 10 attacks in a recent two-year period, three being fatal. This has prompted island officials to close the beaches to swimmers and surfers. Experts aren’t sure why the sharks are biting people with greater frequency. 8. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Since 2005, there have been more than fifty attacks. In fact, researchers have claimed that South Carolina’s waters are just as dangerous as Florida’s when comparing the swimmer-to-attack ratio. Their waters are attractive to species like tiger sharks and bull sharks. 9. Coffin Bay, Australia The name says it all. Don’t swim here unless you fancy a meeting with a great white. Recently an abalone diver was attacked and killed by two great white sharks. His body was never recovered. 10. Surf Beach, California A nineteen-year-old surfer was attacked and killed a few years ago by a great white shark believed to be 18 feet in length. The waters here are home to seals, which attract great whites in large numbers.

Put Salt in the Corners of Your House, and See What Happens

09:40
What will happen if you pour salt in the corners of your house? Spoiler: it will change your life. Here are the most unusual and powerful uses for salt. What is going to happen to you if you spill salt? Duh, it will bring you bad luck. We are sure you heard that, and you might believe it, or not. But have you ever wondered where that superstition comes from? Some people believe it is because Judas Iscariot spilled it at the Last Supper. Others find a more practical explanation: spilling salt meant bad luck and future loss because it was expensive. Expensive and precious. Yes, you heard it right. And why would salt be that important to anyone? It has some magical powers you might have never heard of. TIMESTAMPS History of salt 1:12 Salt was used in different rituals 1:50 Reviving shower 4:04 Good luck charm 4:46 Money attraction 5:14 Support in a foreign environment 5:35 Wash off the negative energy 6:15 Protect your home from evil visitors 6:40 Cast out the evil objects 7:02 The “witch bottle” 7:32 Good luck, peace, and prosperity 8:30 Salt has been around for thousands of years. You might see it just as something you add to your meals to add some flavor to them, but it meant much more to our ancestors. Harvesting salt used to be a long and complicated process, so only the rich were able to afford it. Ancient Romans even paid their soldiers with it, and the army appreciated that. It helped them preserve food, so that was fair enough. If you look at the origins of the word “salary” you will even see something salt-like in it. Yes, it comes from the Latin word for “salt.” Did you know that? If not, “like” this video to show you have just learned something new. Okay, it is clear that salt was expensive and highly appreciated. But that is just one side of it. From very old times, it was used in different rituals because of its magical powers. Ancient Egyptians, for example, would not set on a journey without performing a ritual involving salt. They burnt it on hot coals to scare away the evil spirits. Then, and only then, the caravans got on their way across the desert. We hope these tricks will help you feel better and live in harmony. A Unique Creature on Earth That Can Never Be Killed

13:48
Earth is the only planet in our solar system, our galaxy, and potentially our entire universe that sustains life. Us humans believe we’re practically indestructible, but it turns out there’s a unique creature tougher than us that can’t be killed. Meet the tardigrade, one of the most resilient animals in the world – and possibly the universe. TIMESTAMPS It’s also called the water bear. 1:18 It’s really small. 2:20 It’s really, really old. 3:08 It can live anywhere. 4:02 It’s (mostly) harmless. 5:00 It’s practically unkillable. 6:04 It survives extinction events. 10:45 It might survive on another planet. 12:33 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -A tardigrade is commonly called a water bear because it is most often found in water, where it prefers to dwell, and because of its slow gait, which resembles that of a bear. -The biggest full-grown tardigrade is about 0.5 mm or about 1/50 of an inch, which is smaller than flea and tick larva. -The earliest fossils we have of the tardigrade species date back to the Cambrian period, some 530 million years ago. -Tardigrades have been found on the high-altitude peaks of the Himalayas, in deep trenches in the ocean, in mud volcanoes, and in tropical rainforests. -These unique creatures move into a new environment and help to establish an ecosystem, not unlike a gold prospector setting up shop out in the frontier. -Many tardigrades can enter a dehydrated state to survive almost any dangerous outside environment. They curl up into a barrel shape, their bodies become glass-like, and they put themselves in stasis, during which time they’re pretty much indestructible. -The tardigrade has survived all possible extinction events, from the Ordovician-Silurian extinction 440 million years ago all the way up to the extinction events that took out the dinosaurs. -The conditions on Mars are within the tardigrades’ capabilities to survive, assuming that a sufficient amount of water exists to support them. Why No Aquarium In the World Has a Great White Shark?

10:54
Even if you absolutely love aquariums and have been to dozens of them, there's one sea creature you’ll never ever come across there. Not a single aquarium in the world has a great white shark. Is the great white not cool enough to be put on display? Are people afraid of being attacked even when these animals are confined within thick walls made of special glass? There have been plenty of attempts to hold these creatures captive. In 1955, the first great white was captured and sent to Marineland of the Pacific in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, the animal didn't even make it through one day at the oceanarium. Scientists still don't know much about the great white shark, but they have come up with several theories. TIMESTAMPS Where can you find great white sharks? 0:48 Attempts to hold great white sharks captive 2:28 Why do they suffer so much from being locked up? 5:00 Depression 5:12 Lack of space 5:32 Respiratory problems 6:13 Hunger 7:05 The wrong water salinity 7:36 Why is it important to save the last great white sharks? 7:52 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -These massive fish can be spotted in cool coastal waters all over the world. “Human” isn’t on a great white’s menu. In general, there are no more than 10 attacks a year. -In 1955, the first great white was captured and sent to Marineland of the Pacific in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, the animal didn't even make it through one day at the oceanarium. The SeaWorld in San Diego managed to keep a great white for 16 days back in 2003, but they ended up deciding to release the animal back into the ocean. -Scientists still don't know much about the great white shark, but they have come up with several theories. -Believe it or not, depression and shock can bring these powerful creatures down. -No aquarium in the world can provide the animal with conditions to let it move as it does in the wild. -In a tank, great whites can't move freely, so they develop problems with their respiratory system. What's more, a shark can suffer from hypoxia, or a deficiency of oxygen. -Since they need to hunt down their prey and eat it alive, they often refuse to eat in captivity. -You can't even imagine how hard it is to mimic the ocean’s unique water composition. -Great white sharks are extremely important for keeping the ecological balance in the oceans. Losing just one shark endangers the entire ecosystem. Unfortunately, there are just about 3,500 of them left in the world. Why no aquarium has a great white shark

05:54
Many have tried to keep a white shark in captivity. Here's why that's so difficult. There are several aquariums around the world, including one in Georgia, that house whale sharks, the biggest fish in the sea. But not one has a great white shark on display. Aquariums have made dozens of attempts since the 1970s to display a captive great white shark. Most of those attempts ended with dead sharks. By the 2000s, the only group still trying was the Monterey Bay Aquarium, which spent a decade planning its white shark program. In 2004, it acquired a shark that became the first great white to survive in captivity for more than 16 days. In fact, it was on display for more than six months before it was released back into the ocean. In the following years, the Monterey Bay Aquarium hosted five more juvenile white sharks for temporary stays before ending the program in 2011. It was an expensive effort and had come under criticism due to injuries that some of the sharks developed in the tank. Responding to those critics, Jon Hoech, the aquarium's director of husbandry operations, said: "We believe strongly that putting people face to face with live animals like this is very significant in inspiring ocean conservation and connecting people to the ocean environment. We feel like white sharks face a significant threats out in the wild and our ability to bring awareness to that is significant in terms of encouraging people to become ocean stewards." Check out the video above to learn why white sharks are so difficult to keep in captivity and how the Monterey Bay Aquarium designed a program that could keep them alive. MOST DANGEROUS OCEAN CREATURES IN THE WORLD

10:38
While our oceans are teeming with beautiful and fascinating creatures, it’s also vastly populated with some pretty scary, pretty dangerous animals. These are animals you wouldn’t want to come by while swimming out on the open seas; that is, unless you’ve got a thing for danger. Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr Watch our "Evidence That Aliens HAVE Visited Earth " video here:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iL227eb9FSI Watch our "CRAZY Ideas That Actually Worked!" video here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0n2wEAiOcg Watch our UNBELIEVABLE Items Found After Tsunamis !" video here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNNLwdBI7Gk 4. Stingray These cartilaginous fish are classified into eight distinct families and belong to the suborder Myliobatoidei. They are armed with barbed stingers on their tails that are typically used in self-defense, said stingers being around 13 inches in length. Underneath the stingers, there are two grooves with venom glands inside. They’re also covered by an integumentary sheath, keeping the venom concentrated and ready to be used when needed. They can be dangerous to humans, especially when we try to get too close, and we could find ourselves on the receiving end of a self-defense attack. Probably the most famous human fatality involving a stingray was Steve Irwin, who was snorkeling with stingrays while filming a show called Ocean’s Deadliest. Irwin approached a 6.5 foot (2 meters) ray to film it swimming away, and that’s when the animal got spooked and lashed out. A witness said it struck hundreds of times in a few seconds. Irwin initially believed it had only punctured his lung, but the stingray’s barb connected with his heart, taking his life. 3. Saltwater Crocodile These bad boys are the largest crocodilians in the world and, at times, reach up to 23 feet (7 meters) in length and can weigh as much as 2,200 to 2,600 pounds (1,000-1,200 kg). They’re amazing at camouflaging themselves and at hiding despite their enormous size, and it’s because of this that they’re so deadly. They’re able to blend, allowing their prey to move closer before they strike out and grab hold with their powerful jaws. There are an average of 30 attacks by saltwater crocodiles every year, and around half of those prove to be fatal. On February 5, 1945, it’s believed that saltwater crocodiles fatally attacked more than 400 Japanese soldiers during the Battle of Ramree Island. They have the most extensive distribution of any other crocodile, ranging from northern Australia to Southeast Asia to the eastern coast of India, so be careful and safe travels. 2. Tiger Sharks These sharks are responsible for a large portion of human-shark bite incidents, and they are known to be one of the most dangerous shark species out there. They often hang out in canals, harbors, and shallow reefs, which dramatically increases the chances of human interaction, often resulting in an attack. It’s second on the list of shark bites on humans, following only the scary great white. They are the apex predators in their various ecosystems, but they do fall prey to killer whales, and humans aren’t typically fond of sparing them either. Between 1959 and 2000, 4,668 tiger sharks were culled to protect coastal tourism activities considering they aren’t fond of people, let alone large numbers of them. 1...

Construction FAILS that Wasted Time & Money

10:51
When we talk about a white elephant, that can refer to an actual animal. But more often the term White Elephant refers to a something that costs more to maintain that it’s probably worth. That’s the definition we’re using for this list … which contains 13 of the biggest construction projects that wasted massive amounts of time and money … Or if you prefer, 13 of the biggest white elephants in the world! Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr Watch our "Evidence That Aliens HAVE Visited Earth " video here:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iL227eb9FSI Watch our "CRAZY Ideas That Actually Worked!" video here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0n2wEAiOcg Watch our UNBELIEVABLE Items Found After Tsunamis !" video here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNNLwdBI7Gk #9 Ciudad Real Central Airport (Spain) Located in Castile-La Mancha, this facility was nicknamed the Don Quixote Airport after the fictional character. To an extent, this failed project was a victim of bad timing. It was conceived in the 1990s, when Spain’s economy was more robust. Money for the first private international airport in the country was easier to come by. But by the time the airport opened in 2008, the Spanish economy had essentially halted. By the time it was shut down in 2012, the airport did not have one single flight. After the $1.2 billion dollar airport was put up for auction,it received a bid of less than $12,000 from a Chinese investment firm. That offer was rejected as too low. In 2016, a local consortium paid out $62 million dollars for Don Quixote Airport. Hopefully that included some windmills to tilt at. #8 Russky Bridge (Russia) Did you know the world’s longest cable-stayed bridge is located in Vladivostok, Russia? That’s as defined by the length of its main span. Extending some 3,622 feet between suspension towers, the bridge was originally constructed for the 2012 Asia Pacific Economic Conference. Then-President of Russia Vladimir Putin approved the project at a cost exceeding $1 billion dollars. It was seen as a way to connect Vladivostok with Russky Island, where the conference was being held. The problem was that after the conference was over, so was a lot of the bridge’s relevance. It was designed to handle 50,000 vehicles each day … but Russky Island only has 5,000 residents, which has led to a severe under usage. #7 Sochi, Russia (SO-chee) No sooner than the 2014 Winter Olympics were awarded to Sochi, than the small town on Russia’s Black Sea attracted hordes of contractors and construction workers. Between them, those workers would essentially create a whole new Sochi. Their efforts resulted in the construction of nearly 50 new hotels … along with 13 train stations either new or renovated, six medical centers, five new schools, and 200 miles of new roads (which included 55 new bridges and 22 new tunnels). The bill for all that building was an estimated $51 billion dollars, the highest cost ever for hosting an Olympics Games Contrast that price tag with the cost of the larger-scale Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, which cost around $13 billion. The spike in tourism didn’t last after the Winter Olympics ended … and the gleaming white sports palaces have essentially stayed empty and silent ever since. One centerpiece building, the Bolshoy Ice Palace cost $300 million dollars …. And requires a daily budget of more than $13,000 dollars to maintain it.

5 Mistakes New Importers Make When Importing Products from China

13:39
Discover the 5 mistakes new importers make when they are importing products from China. Don’t make the same mistakes! Get our free ebook: http://wholesaleted.com/4-step Freightos: http://wholesaleted.com/go/freightos First mistake importers make when importing products from China: Assuming that shipping by sea will be the cheapest option A lot of new importers think they will save money if they ship by sea rather than air. On the surface it seems cheaper as importers usually pay around 60 cents/KG when shipping via sea, compared to the $7/KG when shipping by air courier. Unfortunately what they don’t realize is that the reason it’s that cheap is because when shipping via sea, you ship via container, and you need to rent an entire container. They are very large and require you to be shipping hundreds of KGs to be making it worth your time. If you are an Amazon private label seller, you are unlikely to have enough stock being shipped to fill a container by at least 60-70% so it will be cheaper to ship by air. When shipping by air, you have two options: 1) Air freight 2) Air courier Air courier is when you have your items shipped door-to-door. It is the easiest but the most expensive per KG (although in smaller quantities it is cheaper). Air freight is when you have your items flown from one airport to the other. You will need to organize other additional services: * Having the items delivered to the airport * A customs broker * Having the items delivered from the airport to the final location. There are a lot of fixed fees with this which means it becomes cheaper to use air freight with larger quantities. To figure out which option will be cheaper for you, I recommend using Freightos. Second mistake importers make when importing products from China: Not using the Metric system In China, they use the Metric system and not the Imperial system. So be sure to use KGs instead of lbs and CM instead of inches. It’s important to remember that when working with Chinese suppliers that they expect you to work on their terms and their timeframes. It can be frustrating, but it’s worth it for the cheap Chinese products you import! Third mistake importers make when importing products from China: Using Less than Container Load for shipping When shipping by sea, you have two options: 1) FCL which stands for Full Container Load 2) LCL which stands for Less than Container Load Inexperienced importers fall for the trap of shipping with LCL because they see that the price are extremely cheap. What they don’t realize is that these LCL companies have special deals with the ports to charge you extremely high Destination Service Charges. The LCL companies then make their money in the form of a “rebate” which is essentially commissions/kickbacks. Destination Service Charges are usually priced per-container and cost between $500-$1000 per container for ports in the USA. But when shipping by LCL you end up paying a high fee per cubic meters. It means that you often end up paying a fee comparable to shipping an entire container. Don’t fall for this trap: If you can’t break even with FCL, then ship by air. Fourth mistake importers make when importing products from China: not calculating the correct duties you will need to pay When you import products from China, you will need to pay duties at the border. If you don’t calculate the correct rate you can get a shock if it comes back as more than you expected. Duties can be a bit complicated to work out because there are a lot of variables. For example, if you imported woolen jackets, you need to consider which country the wool came from, as some countries (like Israel) have duty-free agreements over wool, which would reduce the duties you had to pay. On the other hand if synthetic fibres were used instead of pure wool, then your duty rates would be higher since there are higher duties applied to synthetic fibres within the USA. To figure out what your duty rate is, find out what the HTS (Harmonized Tax System) code is for your item. To find this, ask your Chinese supplier as they will most likely know. You can then go through the HTS manual and find what the duty rate is for the HTS code of your products. Fifth mistake importers make when importing products from China: being afraid to make mistakes And finally - don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Through making mistakes you learn how to overcome them the next time and make even more money. Mistakes are apart of entrepreneurship. Learn from others - and learn from your own as well!

Inhale Himalayan Pink Salt For These Amazing Benefits

03:02
It’s not your normal table salt – the one you find in any table salt and pepper shakers. It’s Himalayan salt. This salt contains 84 natural elements and minerals that are already found in your body. Its minerals are microscopic – or ionic. Their size enables them to be easily absorbed by cells. Himalayan salt has anti-microbial, anti-fungal, and antibacterial properties. The U.S. is late to the table when it comes to Himalayan salt; Eastern Europe began to see its therapeutic purposes about 200 years ago. Those with lung problems visit salt mines for respiratory ailments. Even ancient Greeks realized the benefit of salt therapy. In today’s video we will discuss the benefits of Himalayan salt and how to use it in an inhaler. Benefits of a Salt Inhaler Breathing is effortless when we are in good health. But when your head and lungs are congested, breathing is no longer so easy. As a natural expectorant, salt can help reduce excess mucus, which will quiet your cough and allow you to get a restful night’s sleep. This type of salt inhalation therapy reduces swollen congested nasal passages and provides relief from allergies, hay fever and also eliminates harmful organisms. When you inhale, the natural moisture in the air absorbs the salt particles into your lungs. Remember, the ions are so tiny they will go directly into your lungs, bypassing the nasal filtering system. Once ions are absorbed by the lungs, they will enter the bloodstream and get to work reducing inflammation. Those with conditions like asthma, bronchitis or pneumonia often find relief within a few days. While many have experienced rapid results, it typically only brings noticeable relief after regular and consistent use. How to Use a Salt Inhaler First, you will need a ceramic inhaler – not a plastic one. Be sure to read the package directions. Place the Himalayan rocks inside the inhaler Do NOT add water; the inhaler is for dry therapy Insert the mouthpiece Breathe through your mouth normally and exhale through your nose. As you inhale, be sure to draw in deep breaths NOTE: Be sure to follow the directions for cleaning your inhaler. Also, remember that inhalers are not to be shared with anyone else. You can order a Himalayan Salt inhaler online. They may also be available in natural health food retail stores. 03:34
İztuzu Beach is a 4.5 km long beach near Dalyan, in the Ortaca district of the Province of Muğla in southwestern Turkey. The beach is a narrow spit of land, which forms a natural barrier between the fresh water delta of the Dalyan river and the Mediterranean. It is one of the main breeding grounds for loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta) in the Mediterranean and is therefore often referred to as "Turtle Beach". The loggerhead turtle (Caretta caretta) is on the IUCN Red list of endangered animals. For this reason the beach has had a protected status since 1988 and is part of the Köyceğiz-Dalyan Special Environmental Protection Area. The greatest threat to the survival of the loggerhead sea turtle is on these sandy beaches where its life begins. This has triggered an international conservation effort that began in the 1990s. The effort to protect loggerhead sea turtle eggs and to assure a safe breeding ground for this endangered species has made international headlines. This issue is one of the most critical items on Turkey's environmental agenda.

Box templates: http://missprintables.blogspot.com/2014/11/blank-box-templates-freebie.html?spref=pi Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/ English Toffee recipe: (makes about 2 lbs.) --------------------------------------------------------------------- 454g unsalted butter 400g white sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 3 Tbs. water 1 Tb. corn syrup (or golden syrup) ----------------------------- 1 tsp. vanilla 6-8 oz. chopped pecans or almonds, toasted (optional) 8 oz. chopped dark chocolate, or chips (optional) In heavy bottom saucepan on medium heat, start the butter melting. Once the butter has melted enough to cover the bottom of the pan, add sugar in a pile in the middle of melted butter pool. Add salt, water and syrup. When the butter has mostly melted, stir well, taking care to make sure all the granules of sugar are completely dissolved. I like to use a whisk to combine these first ingredients. Bring to a boil and cook to 300*F (at sea-level) stirring often. You will have to stir more often the closer to 300* you get. *For every 1,000 ft in altitude you are, subtract 2* off that final temp. For example, because I live at 5,000ft, I cook my toffee to 290-291*F. Its also important to make sure your candy thermometer is accurate. This may help: https://food52.com/blog/11381-how-to-check-the-accuracy-of-your-kitchen-thermometer Once the toffee has reached temperature, remove from heat, add vanilla and carefully pour over the toasted nuts that you've placed on a greased cookie sheet. Let toffee cool for about 15 minutes then sprinkle chopped chocolate or chips over. Let chocolate soften and spread with a spatula. Chill in frig for about 30 minutes before breaking toffee into pieces. Dall's Porpoises The Great Alaska Bow Riders in Prince William Sound Alaska while Saltwater Fishing

02:14
I shot this video in Prince William Sound Alaska. These are Dall's Porpoise bow riding our boat beneath my reflection. It was a perfect day on the water with Mrs. Ruth and my good friend Capt. Bob. One of this Summer's most amazing days. Dall's porpoises are compact, muscular porpoises that rival killer whales as the fastest marine mammals in Alaska waters. Their black backs and white bellies and flanks resemble the markings of killer whales, but they are much smaller, averaging about six feet in length and weighing about 300 lbs (136 kg). They are fast swimmers and often generate a "rooster tail" spray that can be visible at long distances. Dall's porpoises typically travel in groups of 2 to 20 animals. They often "bow ride," a behavior that is ideal for wildlife watching. The bow of a moving ship creates a pressure wave in the water, like the blast of wind that follows a passing truck. Porpoises and dolphins sidle up to a boat and swim just below the surface, riding in the pressure wave. The similarly-sized Pacific white-sided dolphin, popular performers at oceanariums, often travel in multi-species herds of tens to several thousand animals. Like the Dall's porpoise with whom they sometimes travel, they are fast swimmers and common bow riders but the Pacific white-sided dolphin will fully breach while swimming while the Dall's porpoise rarely shows its flukes. Harbor porpoises average about 120 lbs (55 kg), are gray or dark brown, and have noticeably smaller dorsal fins than those of Dall's porpoises. They are often described as shy, but it is more appropriate to say they are indifferent to boats and human activities. They do not bow ride but are often spotted in calm seas when their rounded backs gently break the surface with rolling motions. People often confuse porpoises with dolphins, but the two come from distinctly different families. Dolphins usually have beaks and more noticeable dorsal fins. Porpoises are usually smaller without the pronounced melons or beaks. Habitat The Dall's porpoise is found in Alaska coastal waters as far north as the Bering Sea. Pacific white-sided porpoises travel as far north as Kodiak Island and are present in the Aleutians and Gulf of Alaska. Harbor porpoises may be found as far north as the Beaufort Sea in ice-free months. Viewing I shot this video yesterday in Prince William Sound Alaska. Watching these guy's ride our bow in my reflection was an awesome experience. Perfect day on the Sound in the company of Mrs. Ruth and my friend Capt. Bob is about as good as it get's. Look for Dall's porpoises or Pacific white-sided dolphins any time you are traveling in Alaska's coastal waters. They may be catching a free ride on the bow-wave of your boat. Harbor porpoises stay closer to shore in waters less than 300 ft deep.

Places You Should NEVER EVER Swim

10:29
When the hot summer rolls by, there’s nothing better than having a dip in the ocean or in a sparkling, crystal-clear blue swimming pool! After watching this video today, you’ll probably want to keep choosing the swimming pool option over the beaches because as inviting as what some of these beaches look, they are also extremely dangerous. Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr 9 - Kipu Falls… These majestic falls are located in the Hawaiian archipelago. The falls are on private property, but that hasn’t stopped people from making their way there. Sadly, many don’t return from the trip. This majestic location shows off its stunning falls into a serene pool of water, but for some reason, people have been sucked into the water, never to be seen again. People have described the event, saying that the swimmer would be paddling away and the next moment appear panicked and distressed and then disappear. Some believe the waters to be home to a water spirit, while others believe there is an underwater whirlpool, whatever the reason, the waters are closed off to any swimmers and they’ve requested travel guides to exclude this watering spot from any future publications. 8 - Zipolite Beach, Mexico… In Spanish this beach is known as Playa Zipolite which when translated means “beach of the unliving.” The crystal-clear waters and white sands tempt a lot of bathers to the area, but there are many signs warning people to refrain from swimming. The rip tides are wild, and when it’s a full moon, gets extremely erratic. Swimmers have often been swept out to sea and done a full circular motion and landed back at the beach, while others haven’t made it back at all. 7 - Hanakapiai Beach, Hawaii… Yep, Hawaii is known for its gorgeous beaches but not all of them are safe for swimming! Hanakapiai Beach is one of them, and its situated at the end of a treacherous 2-mile trail. There are no lifeguards on duty and you’re exposed to some of the most powerful rip currents in the world. The rip currents are always there regardless of when you go, as there is no reef protecting the beaches shores. More people have drowned at this spot than anywhere else in Kauai. You’ll notice a sign at the beach with a marking for every person that has drowned there… the last update featured 80 markings! Definitely not worth the risk! 6 - Lake Karachay, Russia… Similar to Yenisey River from earlier, this is Lake Karachay and this lake is highly contaminated. Between 1951 and 1968, Mayak – a nuclear facility – dumped toxic waste into this lake found in the Ural Mountains. They tried to stop the shifting of the toxic sediment by filling the lake with concrete blocks, but 4-years after their attempt the levels of radiation in the water were so high that they could deliver a lethal dose to a human within one hour. 5 - Amazon Basin, South America… Here you have a plethora of reasons why swimming would not be recommended. The Basin is home to anacondas, piranhas and electric eels, but they’re the least of your worries! The Amazon Basin is also to home to a very small fish called the Candiru. These nasty fish like swim inside every opening of your body, including the urinal tube – for your own safety, stay far away from this body of water! 4 - Berkeley Pit, Montana… This used to be an open-pit copper mine, and why people would want to attempt swimming here is beyond me. The water is filled with acidic, highly oxygenated water which include things like arsenic, cadmium, lead, copper and zine. 342 geese were found lying at the pit in 1995 with their internal organs burnt to smithereens. 3 - Citarum River, Indonesia… Wait, this is a river? It looks like a garbage tip! This body of water is in West Java and as you can see, is one of the most polluted rivers in the world. The river is lined with factories who all think it’s ok to dump their rubbish into the water! This water provides thousands of people with liquid to drink, bath and wash their clothes in! In 2008 a $500 million loan was received from the Asian development bank to try and clean up the waters, but whether that was successful or not is unknown to us at this stage. 2 - Shark Alley, South Africa… The majority of South African beaches are amazing for swimming, especially the warmer shorelines of Port Elizabeth and Durban, but there is a spot where you might not want to throw caution to the wind. It’s called Shark Alley and it’s located in Gansbaai. You can enter the waters with a steel cage around you and grab some astounding shots of the scary looking Great White! 1...

Catching This Fish Will Make You a Millionaire

06:09
YOU'D be a Millionaire if you CATCH THIS FISH Have you ever wanted a career less common? Perhaps something that lets you be outdoors? Well… you might consider a job in fishing! Not trawling, you understand, but bespoke, high value fishing. You may imagine this is not attainable, but tropical fish are hugely popular with buyers across the world. Kept as pets and curiosities by people from all walks of life, they are big business! If you know anything about this market, you likely won’t be surprised to know that breeding and selling tropical fish can be highly lucrative. What you may be surprising to hear, however, is that some fish can net up to half a million dollars in a single sale. For those not in the know, we are of course talking about the exquisite and rare freshwater platinum Arowana. Despite being carnivorous and solitary, Arowana are often kept as pets by collectors who value them for their longevity and beauty; Arowana can live for up to fifty years. Red and gold Arowana are valuable, and commonly sold in Asia, but it is the platinum Arowana which commands the highest price tag. Why? Well, a rare genetic mutation has rendered certain members of this fish species a pale, silvery white color which, when combined with their large scales and elegant size, makes them extraordinarily beautiful! Furthermore, the sale and purchase of these fish is heavily restricted in certain parts of the world; this makes them incredibly rare! As a result, there have been cases in which an example of the platinum Arowana has been sold for $430,000. It’s no wonder, then, that examples of this fish are micro-chipped before they reach sexual maturity; when any single fish is so valuable, it really is key that we are able to keep track of them!

01:23:30
'Paranoid' is the second studio album from Black Sabbath. Released in September 1970, it was the band's only LP to top the UK Albums Chart until the release of the '13' album in 2013. Paranoid contains several of the band's signature songs, including "Iron Man", "War Pigs" and the title track, which was the band's only Top 20 hit, reaching number 4 in the UK charts. It is often cited as the most influential album in the development of the entire heavy metal genre.

Lost Frequencies ft. James Blunt - Melody (Official Music Video)

02:26
Stream it now via; https://FF003.lnk.to/MelodyMA Subscribe to Lost Frequencies channel: http://bit.ly/2CwQGek After the success of previous releases, including the wildly fruitful melodies and raw vocals of ‘Crazy’, Lost Frequencies now announces ‘Melody’ featuring chart-topping singer-songwriter James Blunt, with an uplifting video to match. Taking adolescent troubles and hardship wrapped up with with love, excitement and music as both a release, and a tool for confidence and visibility , the video for ‘Melody’ was filmed at Lost Frequencies’s own boarding school he attended in his formative teenage years, giving an injection of relatability, hope and positivity for a visual that perfectly missors the hopeful, empassioned lyrics. On the track, Lost Frequencies pays homage to country sounds using melodic guitar strums and by twisting Blunt’s soaring vocal into a unique loop come the chorus, which flows around the rhythm like a waterfall. The release came about after Blunt had been writing in the studio with Steve Mac (co-writer and co-producer on Ed Sheeran's ‘Shape Of You’) and Ammar Malik (co-writer of Maroon 5's ‘Moves Like Jagger’) on a song called ‘Hey, Melody.’, that Lost Frequencies then added his studio spin on for a unique release. How Different Animals See The World

13:21
Humans see the world differently to most animals. Let's find out exactly how the animals of earth view the world! Subscribe for more! ► http://bit.ly/BeAmazedSubscribe ◄ Stay updated ► http://bit.ly/BeAmazedFacebook https://instagram.com/BeAmazedVideos ◄ For copyright queries or general inquiries please get in touch: [email protected] How dogs see the world - We humans have three different kinds of color detecting cells in our eyes, called cones, whereas dogs only have two. Geckos - Human cone cells need pretty bright light in order to function well, which is why we can’t see colors that well when it’s dark. Giant Clams - Giant Clams, it turns out, not only have eyes, but have a few hundred eyes about the size of pinholes all along the edge of their bodies. Jumping Spiders - Mantis shrimp - You’ve probably heard of the Mantis shrimp because of their famous aquarium glass shattering punching capability. Bees - If you’ve seen the Bee Movie, you already know that bees are important. Cats - Flies - Flies can see limited colors, but they have a very broad field of vision, and see in a sort of mosaic effect. Snakes - Some animals, like snakes, don’t see color at all. Cows - Cows seem like pretty boring animals, so you’d expect them to pretty much see the way we do. Birds - Vision is particularly important for birds, since you don’t want to hit something while you’re fifty feet in the air. Horses How Frogs see the world. Frogs are near-sighted, therefore they can't see at distances that well. Chameleons - Like birds, chameleons can see all the colors we do, plus ultraviolet light, which we can't see. Starfish - For a long time, scientists wondered if starfish could even see at all. It was known that they have one eye on the end of each arm, but it wasn’t clear if they could actually see images out of them or not. Recently, however, scientists have discovered that starfish can indeed see very basic images – about two hundred pixels. I guess some vision is better than no vision. What would a starfish need super jacked up eyes for anyway? Cuttlefish - The adorably named cuttlefish has blurrier vision than we do, and are completely colorblind. Butterflies - Butterflies see with red, green, blue, UV, and the wideband light from red to purple. Garden Snails - A snail’s eyes are located at the the tip of their two smallest tentacles. Rabbits - Turtles - While it is commonly believed that turtles are colorblind, in reality, they are better at seeing color than we are.

Some of those properties include raw enzymes and the promotion of good bacteria in the digestive tract. In order to avoid the taste, some people will substitute Apple Cider Vinegar for regular vinegar when pickling their favorite vegetables, or pair it with olive oil to make a salad dressing with a little kick. However, by simply diluting Apple Cider Vinegar or adding it to tea before bedtime you can significantly improve several areas of your health. Consider a few ways that ACV helps if you take it before bedtime: 1. Halitosis You know that awful taste in your mouth that you wake up with in the morning? It’s probably due to too much bacteria in your mouth. Drinking one tablespoon with eight ounces of water and a slice of lemon before bed, will keep that bacteria at bay and let you wake up more refreshed. 2. Lower Blood Sugar Some people have difficulties sleeping because of a peak in their blood sugar level at night. It’s one of the leading causes of insomnia, and it also impedes the body from burning fat. Apple Cider Vinegar lowers blood sugar levels because it increases insulin sensitivity. If you aren’t already on blood sugar medicine, try taking two teaspoons of Apple Cider Vinegar right before bed each evening and see if you don’t have a more restful night. If you are taking prescription medication for diabetes, please speak with your doctor before using this natural remedy. 3. Hiccups This nice trick overrides nerves in your throat that are responsible for hiccups. If these nerves have to deal with powerful taste in Apple Cider Vinegar, hiccups become less of an issue. For this, you’ll need to drink one undiluted teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar. 4. Sinus Relief If you’ve got a stopped up nose because it’s pollen season again, don’t forget about Apple Cider Vinegar. Rather than reaching for an over-the-counter decongestant, rely on the B vitamins to work with the potassium and magnesium in Apple Cider Vinegar, to loosen up your sinuses so you can breathe easier. 5. Drop Unwanted Pounds More and more people are incorporating Apple Cider Vinegar into their weight loss regimen. However, did you know that not getting a good night’s sleep is also associated with being overweight? Researchers now know that Apple Cider Vinegar inhibits the body when it tries to convert starches into calories. Not only that, but it also reduces your appetite. The pectin it contains actually makes you feel more satisfied, so when it’s time to go to bed and your hungry, sip a little Apple Cider Vinegar tea to feel satisfied and sleep better. 6. Reflux Remedy When your stomach is void of the necessary amount of acid, it tends to move around to do the job that the full amount would easily do. When that happens, some of the acid can sneak up the esophagus and burn your throat. Apple Cider Vinegar helps to replace that stomach acid and balance your intestinal tract. Try a tablespoon with a full glass of water about an hour before lying down. 7. Sore Throat Apple Cider Vinegar is a powerful anti-bacterial. Its acidity helps kill bacteria that live in the back of your throat. If you have a sore throat, in thirty minute intervals, take one teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar. About an hour before bed, drink one teaspoon. After thirty minutes, drink another. Finally, drink the third just before bed. 8. Restless Legs If you have restless legs or are often plagued with leg cramps in the middle of the night, it’s probably a sign that you’re not getting enough potassium in your diet. By adding two tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar to eight ounces of water, you can quickly boost your potassium levels and avoid these annoying issues. 9. Upset Stomach Sometimes a simple remedy like Apple Cider Vinegar can settle an upset stomach. Again, by helping restore the pH level in the digestive tract, you can rid yourself of excess gas and even stomach cramping. Try a warm cup of water with one teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar to calm an upset stomach. ► Adventure Ocean Quest - The White Sharks of Guadalupe (FULL Documentary)

52:13
Up to 7 metres of muscle and teeth, packed into an agile and streamlined body that can weigh in at 2250kg – this is the great white shark, one of the most infamous hunters on Earth. But the reality is that these sharks may disappear from our oceans altogether within the next 20 years. Their terrifying reputation is part myth, part reality, rooted in their instinct to hunt and kill whatever looks like a good prey animal … and that can include human beings. But how far is their killer-reputation justified? Are great white sharks really the blood-thirsty loners we imagine them to be? Dr. Mauricio Hoyos is a scientist working on the behaviour and ecology of sharks. He wants to find out why they follow certain patterns of movements, including longdistance travels. The usual methods of getting close to great whites to study them closely and form impressions of their population cross-section include caged dives and diving with airtanks. But these techniques are now known to affect the sharks’ behaviour: the predators’ extraordinary electrical sensory systems react to the galvanic properties of metal. In addition, the sharks are often lured closer with bloody bait, a technique that undoubtedly increases the animals’ aggression and prey drive, which makes them uncomfortably dangerous diving partners. Furthermore, caged dives entirely rely on the animals coming to the researchers in order to take detailed notes on each individual, but the success of this depends on the sharks’ mood and willingness to approach the cage. Frederic is able to approach the animals and is treated entirely differently by them compared to conventional divers. His very basic equipment means that there is less chance of it interfering with the sharks’ normal and natural behaviour, which allows him to get close to them without triggering aggression. He dives with the sharks without a cage, without any form of protection – just Frederic and two other freedivers versus the predators in the water. They watch each other’s backs, because the sharks are known to attack mostly from behind. But freediving is the very thing that makes Frederic’s diving encounter with the great whites a safer experience. Frederic is likely to get much closer to the sharks than is normally possible, and in this way is able to assess the animals in more detail. Frederic’s assignment also includes an assessment of the sharks’ behaviour. This is also extremely difficult under normal conditions, when diving equipment interferes with the sharks’ behaviour. As such very little is known about the great whites’ detailed behaviour, and Frederic’s dives with them is an unprecedented window into their lives. Since Christian is there to document Frederic’s finding, the scientist is able to try to assess and interpret the behaviour witnessed by the freedivers. Since Great Whites have such a fearsome reputation, Frederic’s interactions with them in the water in itself provide the researchers with interesting insights into their interactions with humans. How and why does their behaviour differ towards a diver with conventional equipment compared to a freediver like Frederic and his two friends: This is an experiment that has never been documented before. To gain more insights into approaching fierce predators like the great white shark, Christian and Frederic have to be extremely well prepared. One thing is certain: with a predator like this, nothing can be left to chance. It is their success as a predator and their huge potential to inflict hideous damage that has made it so difficult to study them in detail and to assess their behaviour adequately from close quarters.
