This is a very complicated world. It’s a very noisy world. And we’re not going to get a chance to get people to remember much about us. No company is! And so, we have to be really clear on what we want them to know about us. Now Apple, fortunately, is one of half-a-dozen best brands in the whole world. Right up there with Nike, Disney, Coke, Sony — it is one of the greats of the greats. Not just in this country, but all around the globe. But even a great brand needs investment and caring if it’s going to retain its relevance and vitality. And the Apple brand has clearly suffered from neglect in this area in the last few years. And we need to bring it back! The way to do that is NOT to talk about speeds and fees. It’s NOT to talk about bits and mega-hertz. It’s NOT to talk about why we are better than Windows. The dairy industry tried for 20 years to convince you that milk was good for you. It’s a lie, but they tried anyway. And the sales were falling. And then they tried “Got milk” and the sales went up. “Got milk” wasn’t even talking about the product. In fact, it focuses on the absence of the product. But the best example of all, and one of the greatest jobs of marketing that the universe has ever seen, is Nike. Remember, Nike sells a commodity. They sell shoes!!! And yet, when you think of Nike you feel something different than a shoe company. In their ads, as you know, they don’t ever talk about the product. They don’t ever tell you about their air soles and why they are better than Reebok’s air soles. What does Nike do in their advertising? They honor great athletes. And they honor great athletics. That’s who they are, that’s what they are about! Apple spends a fortune on advertising — you’d never know it….you’d never know it! So…when I got here, Apple just fired their agency and there was a competition with 23 agencies that…you know…four years from now we would pick one. And we blew that up and we hired Chiat\Day, the ad agency that I was fortunate enough to work with years ago and created some award winning work including the commercial voted the best ad ever made, 1984 (by Advertising Professionals). And…we started working about eight weeks ago, and the question we asked was, “Our customers want to know who is Apple and what is it that we stand for…where do we fit in this world?” And what we’re about isn’t making boxes for people to get their jobs done — although we do that well. We do that better than almost anybody, in some cases. But Apple is about something more than that! Apple at the core…its core value — is that, we believe that people with passion can change the world for the better. That’s what we believe! And we have had the opportunity to work with people like that. We’ve had the opportunity to work with people like you; with software developers, with customers, who have done it. In some big, and some small ways. And we believe that, in this world, people can change it for the better. And that those people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world are the ones that actually do! And so, what we’re going to do in our first brand marketing campaign in several years, is to get back to that core value! A lot of things have changed. The market is in a total different place than where it was a decade ago. And Apple is totally different — and Apple’s place in it is totally different. And believe me, the products, and the distribution strategy, and the manufacturing are totally different…and we understand that. But values and core values — those things shouldn’t change. The things that Apple believed in at its core, are the same things Apple really stands for today. Go-to-market strategy examples

We’ll give you three examples to best build a go-to-market strategy that will help you make money and drive long-term growth. Get a free trial of our new sales and marketing planning software at: http://register.funnelplan.com/ -------------- The right strategy doesn't depend on your product, but your buyers. Let's take a look at the companies, their buyers, and their strategy. At the end I'll give you a model for working this out for yourself. Desktop Computers For my first example, let's take a company that wants to own the desktop computing market. Firstly, come up with something that's truly amazing and different, clever, unique. Take that to as broad a market as you possibly can, and this is what the company I'm about to talk about did. Take it to as broad a market as you possibly can. Find out from that early market experience what group of buyers are likely to be a good market for you to focus on in the future. Start very broadly, selling very widely. Find the pattern and then find a niche that you think might be worth dominating, and then completely change the strategy and focus just on that. Leader in an enterprise software category For my second go to market strategy example, I'm going to pick an established player in an established market. Very different story. This established player in an established market had done such a good job of riding the enterprise applications market, that they were near dominant in that space. That's good news, but it's also bad news. The bad news is that pretty much all of the market, the enterprise market, had already bought either from this company, or from one of their competitors. Whilst they enjoyed the lion's share of the market, the market was pretty much drying up. Everybody had bought a product like this from either them or from their competitor. Challenger in enterprise software For my third go to market strategy example, again I'll stick to a mature market, but this time the company's not the gorilla. In fact, they're probably fourth on a good day. Maybe less, maybe fifth or sixth in the market. It's a big market, and they've done well, they've profited, and they've used those profits to continue to invest in sales and marketing as well as R&D. The problem is that as the market started to decline, their fortunes declined. They'll continue to invest, but they're investing in order to grow their share in a market that was pretty much consolidating. Now we're losing money hand over fist. What's the right strategy then? 10 Examples Of Marketing Strategies You Can Use Right Now

10:29
If you have a great product or service you want to promote online, the next step is to determine the most effective way to get your product in front of your intended audience. Choosing the best strategy for your product and audience will determine whether you succeed or fail. Here, then, are 10 examples of marketing strategies you can use to promote your product or service right now. 1. Create Your Own Website The first is to create your own website. This is the most common online marketing method. Your website can be as complicated or as simple as you want. It can be built using pre-made templates, or you can design an entirely unique type of web page. 2. Search Engine Optimization The second strategy is to use Search Engine Optimization, also known as SEO. Search engines like Google and Bing constantly scroll through billions of web pages, ranking them by how valuable their users will find them. 3. Email Marketing The third strategy is e-mail marketing. E-mail has replaced the postal service as the primary way people exchange letters and documents. Promote your product with e-mails that you send to a list of prospective customers. There are e-mail lists you can buy, or you can build them yourself using “squeeze pages” which ask visitors to give you their e-mail address in exchange for some kind of free giveaway such as a report or video. 4. Article Marketing The next strategy is article marketing. This is when you attract visitors to your web page by placing articles in various places on the web. Not only does this establish you as a trusted expert in your field, but you can use SEO in the articles so that both search engines and prospective customers are directed to your web page. 5. Forum Marketing Another strategy is forum marketing. There is now a forum for every conceivable niche. In most cases, there are dozens or even hundreds. Forum marketing is when you visit these forums and promote your product. You can do this by either interacting directly with other forum members, or by leaving comments on topic threads, blog posts and other places. Insert links back to your web page to lead prospective customers to your product. 6. Blog Marketing The sixth strategy is blog marketing. There are two ways to promote your product via blogging. The first is to create your own blog and write about your niche. Within each blog you embed links that lead back to your web sales page. The other is to visit blogs related to your niche and leave insightful comments that include links back to your web sales page. 7. Social Network Marketing A similar strategy is social network marketing. Social media has become the main way many people communicate with their family, friends, co-workers and others, so it’s incredibly effective way to market products to specific groups of people who are most likely to want to buy them. If you are marketing on the Internet today, you need to start creating a presence on social networking sites. 8. Viral Marketing The eighth strategy is viral marketing. – The term “viral” refers to something that quickly becomes hugely popular and that people share exponentially. Create a video, audio file or other document that people really enjoy and want to share with their circle of friends and family and it can rapidly spread throughout the internet and reach millions of people within days or even hours. But, most people won’t share something if they think it is simply a sales pitch, so you have to give people something useful or entertaining so that they can eventually follow your links back to your web page. 9. Link Exchange The next strategy is to use a link exchange. A “link exchange” or link sharing is when you ask your contacts to post a link to your web page in exchange for your posting a link to theirs. It can be an effective way of promoting your site on other popular pages. 10. Personal Marketing The final strategy is personal marketing. Even in the Internet Age, there is no substitute for face-to-face interactions with other people. Your website is your business, your store, so you should be prepared to promote your business at every opportunity, such as parties and other social events, seminars, even cold calls. The more promote your web page, the more likely you are to attract prospective customers. To your abundance, Did today’s tip 10 Examples Of Marketing Strategies You Can Use Right Now help you? If so, I would greatly appreciate you leaving a comment below and share with your friends on Facebook. Tiffany Mika http://thehealthynetworkmarketer.com

Marketing Strategy Examples To Promote Your Business | http://careerfh.com

04:06
http://careerfh.com/marketing-strategy-examples We all hear we got to market and promote our business but how do we do it? I totally want some marketing strategy examples please! Hey guys, how are you, I'm André, your friendly host today for CareerFH! No matter what kind of business you have, in order to be successful, you must get customers; that's a no brainer. The harder part is that you have to get your offer in front of their eye balls and that's where your marketing strategy comes into play. It's no surprise that there are tons of marketing strategy examples out there but in order to make it simpler to understand, let's first classify them in 2 categories. First, you have what I call the "old school traditional version" which is offline and second, we have the "new modern day in age" online. Marketing strategy examples -- offline Offline includes everything from newspaper, magazine, radio, tv, poster, flyer, business cards. Marketing strategy examples -- online Online includes everything from, pay per click, social media ads, e-mail marketing, website. Knowing what your business is all about, the best marketing strategy to use would probably hybrid, meaning it's the best winning combination of both offline and online. Here are marketing strategy examples using a hybrid combination. Create a website for you business, company, product or service. You then have business card printed that leads to the website but instead of sending your prospects to your simple website, make them an enticing offer such as: get a free report, or 10% off discount, or free sample if you visit this page of the website. Instead of having your regular www.careerfh.com, you direct them to your www.careerfh.com/marketing, you can use the word like special, discount, promo to add after your .com. Give your audience something of value use the online world to put more information and use your offline marketing to generate traffic to your site where there's more information. Again whenever you're using paid marketing strategy, always test and track your results. Say you have an ad in the news paper you send the traffic to your site www.abc123.com/promo1, so all your traffic going to that page you know is coming from the news paper marketing strategy. On your site you can even have a custom landing page that says, because you're a loyal newspaper reader and so am I, I give you this promo just for you. On your business card you can have www.abc123.com/promo2, this way with a simple traffic counter on your website for you web pages, you know exactly how much your clients are worth. Divide the cost of the ad by the number of new clients that purchased on that page and there you have it, your cost per client acquisition. The lower the better so keep testing various marketing strategies! ______ What about you, what other marketing strategy examples do you have that you can share with us? SWOT analysis in practice - Starbucks -------------------------------- Strategy analysis has two main branches – analysis of a firm’s external environment and analysis of a firm’s internal environment. SWOT is a famous framework that allows us to combine the two types of analysis. SWOT is sometimes referred to as internal-external analysis. The acronym SWOT stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. The first two, Strengths and Weaknesses, are related to a firm’s internal environment, while the last two, Opportunities and Threats, consider its external environment. Internal strengths and external opportunities are vertically paired as helpful elements, while internal weaknesses and external threats are paired as harmful elements. if we perform a company analysis, under strengths, we would expect to see its core competences, the areas where the business excels and has a competitive advantage over competitors. Weaknesses are areas that need improvement. Such vulnerabilities place a company at a disadvantage when competing against other firms. Opportunities can be seen as favorable factors existing in a company’s external environment, in the industry where it operates, and have the potential to improve its current results and competitive positioning. Threats arise in a company’s external environment and might harm its current business.

By default, the decisions we make regarding marketing mix will be as good as our understanding of the target market. If we’ve done quality research, the likelihood of coming up with a good marketing mix combination increases. Four major variables shape a company’s marketing mix. These variables are known as the Four Ps of Marketing. Focusing on: • Product • Price • Place • And Promotion This has proven to be an effective way to understand the decisions a company makes when it enters a market and competes in it. If a company understands the needs of its customers, it can create products that satisfy the clients’ expectations and contain the features they desire; it will offer these products at a price that corresponds to the target market’s willingness to spend, and it will offer them where the target market loves to shop. It will also build its brand communication in a language that speaks to the target market. Marketing Mix and the Four Ps is intuitive. Marketing managers should concentrate on these variables and tailor them regarding the target market they’ve chosen to pursue.
