Palm Kingdoms 1 (formerly known as Palm Heroes) is brilliant & FREE mobile game similar to the classic Heroes of Might & Magic games which I love!! Unlike its sequel Palm Kingdoms 2 there is no Windows PC version of PK1 however I’ve been able to get PK1 working in an official Microsoft Windows Phone Emulator. I’ll write instructions on how you can do the same below. If you’re a big HoMM fan then I strongly recommend you check this game series out as it has a very HoMM2 feel to it but with many interesting improvements either new/original or taken from later HoMM games. I also recommend you have a go at the awesome ‘Divine Status’ super XL map for a real classic HoMM style slaughterathon!
If PK1 is too primitive for your tastes then Palm Kingdoms 2 is essentially the exact same game but with better graphics and many more features. It has a Windows PC & MAC OS version that supports modern HD resolutions. PK2 video here:

Note 1 - my dvcemanager.exe wasn’t anywhere they said it would be, I just did a search of my c drive & got it.
Note 2 - I didn’t have Windows Mobile Device Center installed but found it here:
Note 3 – Stop following video instructions at the install tracer part. Just extract the PK1 game zip file to a temporary PK1 folder, select & copy folder, go to the ‘Pocket_PC’ drive (below your C, D, E etc drives), & paste into the virtual phone’s my documents folder. Back in the virtual phone emulator click on app launch 1 button, programs, file explorer, your new PK1 folder, & finally the hmmppc exe file. You’re in the game! (Rotate screen via emulator file menu).
