Many inbuilt and third party modules can be included in this way in Python scripts. The connect() method is passed the username "pythonhol", the password "welcome" and the connection string. In this case, Oracle's Easy Connect connection string syntax is used. It consists of the IP of your machine and the DB service name "orcl". The close() method closes the connection. Any connections not explicitly closed will be automatically released when the script ends. Sample Projects : https://github.com/SadaLearningHub1/Python3-Core-And-Advanced-Examples

SQLAlchemy: Connecting to a database

03:10
Learn how to connect to your database: https://www.datacamp.com/courses/introduction-to-relational-databases-in-python In the python world, there are several great tools that we can use when working with databases. One of those is SQLAlchemy that we will be using throughout this course. SQLAlchemy will allow us to generate SQL queries by writing Python code. You should still consider learning how to write queries in SQL as well. SQLAlchemy has two main components. The part we will be focusing on is often referred to as "core" part of SQLAlchemy. It's really focused around the relational model of the database. Additionally, there is the Object Relational Model or ORM part of SQLAlchemy that is really focused around data models and classes that you as a programmer create. There are many different types of databases, and each database type has its own quirks and unique capabilities. You'll commonly find SQLite, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle when working with data. SQLAlchemy provides a way to operate across all of these database types in a consistent manner. To connect to a database, we need a way to talk to it, and an engine provides that common interface. To create an engine, we import the create_engine function from sqlalchemy; we then use the create_engine function and supply it a connection string that provides the details needed to connect to a database. Finally once we have an engine, we are ready to make a connection using the connect method on the engine. It's worth noting that SQLAlchemy won't actually make the connection until we give it some work to execute. So to review, an engine is the common interface to the database, which requires a connection string to provide the details used to find and connect to the database. Before we go any further, let's talk a bit more about connection strings. In their simplest form, they tell us what kind of database we are talking to and how we should access it. In this example, you can see that we are using the sqlite database driver and the database file named census_nyc.sqlite which is in the current directory. Now that we have an engine and a connection, we need to know what tables are in the database. We'll start again by importing the create_engine function and creating an engine to our database. Finally, We can use the table_names method of the engine which returns a list of tables. Once we know what table we want to work on, we need a way to access that table with python. To do that we are going to use a handy process called reflection, which reads the database and builds a Table object that we can use in our code. We already have created our engine, so we begin by importing the MetaData and Table objects needed for reflection. The MetaData object is a catalog that stores database information such as tables so we don't have to keep looking them up. To reflect the table, we initialize a MetaData object. Next, we use the SQLAlchemy Table object and provide the table name we got earlier from the table_names method. We also supply our metadata instance, and then instruct it to autoload the table using the engine. Finally, we can use the function repr to view the details of our table that we stored as census. This allows us to see the names of the columns, such as 'state' and 'sex', along with their types, such as VARCHAR and INTEGER. This process of reflection may seem a bit of an overhead, but it will make understanding your databases and extracting information from them far easier downstream. Now it's your turn to practice writing connection strings, connecting to databases and reflecting tables. Then we'll be back here writing our first SQL queries.

#1- Error ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified

02:54
ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified Cause: A connection to a database or other service was requested using a connect identifier, and the connect identifier specified could not be resolved into a connect descriptor using one of the naming methods configured. For example, if the type of connect identifier used was a net service name then the net service name could not be found in a naming method repository, or the repository could not be located or reached. Action: - If you are using local naming (TNSNAMES.ORA file): - Make sure that "TNSNAMES" is listed as one of the values of the NAMES.DIRECTORY_PATH parameter in the Oracle Net profile (SQLNET.ORA) - Verify that a TNSNAMES.ORA file exists and is in the proper directory and is accessible. - Check that the net service name used as the connect identifier exists in the TNSNAMES.ORA file. - Make sure there are no syntax errors anywhere in the TNSNAMES.ORA file. Look for unmatched parentheses or stray characters. Errors in a TNSNAMES.ORA file may make it unusable. - If you are using directory naming: - Verify that "LDAP" is listed as one of the values of the NAMES.DIRETORY_PATH parameter in the Oracle Net profile (SQLNET.ORA). - Verify that the LDAP directory server is up and that it is accessible. - Verify that the net service name or database name used as the connect identifier is configured in the directory. - Verify that the default context being used is correct by specifying a fully qualified net service name or a full LDAP DN as the connect identifier - If you are using easy connect naming: - Verify that "EZCONNECT" is listed as one of the values of the NAMES.DIRETORY_PATH parameter in the Oracle Net profile (SQLNET.ORA). - Make sure the host, port and service name specified are correct. - Try enclosing the connect identifier in quote marks. See the Oracle Net Services Administrators Guide or the Oracle operating system specific guide for more information on naming. my_database = (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = my_host)(PORT = 1521)) (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVER = DEDICATED) (SERVICE_NAME = my_database) ) ) #2- Erreur ORA 01034 ORACLE not available ORA 27101 shared memory realm does not exist HD https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1FU9N0V9Z8k

R tutorial: connecting to a database

03:38
Learn more about connecting to databases with R: https://www.datacamp.com/courses/importing-data-in-r-part-2 Welcome to part two of importing data in R! The previous course dealt with accessing data stored in flat files or excel files. In a professional setting, you'll also encounter data stored in relational databases. In this video, I'll briefly talk about what a relational database is and then I'll explain how you can connect to it. In the next video, I'll explain how you can import data from it! So, what's a relational database? There's no better way to show this than with an example. Take this database, called company. It contains three tables, employees, products and sales. Like a flat file, information is displayed in a table format. The employees table has 5 records and three fields, namely id, name and started_at. The id here serves as a unique key for each row or record. Next, the products table contains the details on four products. We're dealing with data from a telecom company that's selling both with and without a contract. Also here, each product has an identifier. Finally, there's the sales table. It lists what products were sold by who, when and for what price. Notice here that the ids in employee_id and product_id correspond to the ids that you can find in the employees and products table respectively. The third sale for example, was done by the employee with id 6, so Julie. She sold the product with id 9, so the Biz Unlimited contract. These relations make this database very powerful. You only store all necessary information once in nicely separated tables, but can connect the dots between different records to model what's happening. How the data in a relational database is stored and shuffled around when you make adaptations, depends on the so-called database management system, or DBMS you're using. Open-source implementations such as MySQL, postgreSQL and SQLite are very popular, but there are also proprietary implementations such as Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL server. Practically all of these implementations use SQL, or sequel, as the language for querying and maintaining the database. SQL stands for Structured Query Language. Depending on the type of database you want to connect to, you'll have to use different packages. Suppose the company database I introduced before is a MySQL database. This means you'll need the RMySQL package. For postgreSQL you'll need RpostgreSQL, for Oracle, you'll use ROracle and so on. How you interact with the database, so which R functions you use to access and manipulate the database, is specified in another R package called DBI. In more technical terms, DBI is an interface, and RMySQL is the implementation. Let's install the RMySQL package, which automatically installs the DBI package as well. Loading only the DBI package will be enough to get started. The first step is creating a connection to the remote MySQL database. You do this with dbConnect(), as follows. The first argument specifies the driver that you will use to connect to the MySQL database. It sure looks a bit strange, but the MySQL() function from the RMySQL package simply constructs a driver for us that dbConnect can use. Next, you have to specify the database name, where the database is hosted, through which port you want to connect, and finally the credentials to authenticate yourself. This is an actual database that we're hosting, so you can try these commands yourself! The result of the dbConnect call, con, is a DBI connection object. You'll need to pass this object to whatever function you're using to interact with the database. Before we do that, let's get familiar with this connection object in the exercises!

We can also say that SQL tables are kind of data structure which are used by database for efficient storage of data. To create a table in our database we use SQL CREATE TABLE command. SQL CREATE TABLE is a type of DATA DEFINITION LANGUAGE also known as DDL. To Create a table in your schema you will require CREATE TABLE system privilege. In our future videos we will see what are system and object privileges and how to grant them to a user. Today for this video we will be using Sample schema HR which already has all the necessary privileges. Ohk Let's see the syntax. CREATE TABLE table name ( column name1 Data-Type(size), column name2 Data-Type(size), ..... ); CREATE TABLE is an oracle reserved word or say an Oracle key word whereas There are 3 different ways of creating a table in Oracle database. Creating a table using Command Line Interface (CLI) in Oracle database For demonstrating how to create table in oracle database using CLI, I'll be using Command prompt. Thats how we create table using command prompt. you can check your table structure by DESCRIBE command for that just write DESC and your table name. Like this Another way of creating a table is by using Graphic user interface (GUI) in Oracle database To demonstrate how to create table using GUI we will use SQL developer. Lets open our SQL developer I am connected to HR schema if you do not know how to create a connection to database using SQL developer please watch my oracle database tutorial 4 that explains database connectivity using SQL developer and command prompt. Link for this video is in the description below. So lets create a table. Creating a table using SQL developer is very easy we do not have to fire any query here. Let's start First of all right click on your connection in which you want to create a table and choose schema browser. This will open a separate schema browser pane or you can expend your connection by clicking this + sign and then right click on table and choose New Table. However I prefer working with schema browser so let's skip to schema browser pane here from the first drop-down list you can choose connection name and in the second drop down list you can choose what database objects you want to work with we want to create a table thus I'll choose table and then click this arrow here and choose option for new table Ok we have created a table wizard first of all give a unique name to your table and add some column as well. For this, click the green plus button. Now we already have a column so give it some name. Also choose a datatype from the list and specify any size you can check this not null column if in case you want to make this a mandatory column you can also specify default value and constraint If you want to make this column a primary key you can click here In my future video i'll show you what are these constraints and different ways of applying them on a column in a table. for this video we will concentrate on create table only so when you are done with all your columns click ok Thats your table You can double click on your table here and can see its structure. Thats it

I'm always looking for new video ideas. Let me know what video you'd like for me to create. --- Video Transcript Time - 00:00 Hello. In this tutorial, you will learn how to connect to a MySQL database with Java. In this session we’re going to learn how to connect a MySQL database with Java. Before we get started there are some prep work that needs to take place. One is that you need to have a MySQL database already installed. If not, you can download one from the site listed here on the slide. Time - 00:20 Next, we’ll need to download and install a MySQL JDBC driver. This driver will allow the Java program to connect to the database. You can download it from this URL, and I’ll do that now. I’ll just take this URL, drop it into my favorite browser and here I am at the page. I’m on this page, this is for downloading the Connector/J browser. I’ll select the platform, platform independent. Now move down and I’ll select download and it will download a zip archive. Make sure you download the most recent version. In this case it’s 5.1.29. Make sure you download something at that version or later. Time - 01:04 Download, scroll down, select, “No thanks, just start my download.” This will start downloading the file for you. Now what we can do is show it in the finder. I’ll double click it to extract it. At this point I have the driver extracted. There’s a file in here called MySQL connector.jar that we’ll use later. Time - 01:34 Next, what I need to do is create a Java project in Eclipse. Let’s do that. On Eclipse I’ll say I’ll save file, new, Java project. This will be JDBC demo and I will select finish. What I’ll do is I will add a new class. New, class, this will be my driver and it will have a public static void main region. At this point we have a shell for our project created. Time - 02:28 Next, what we’ll do is we will talk to the actual development process and I really like this slide because it outlines exactly what we need to do. The first thing we’ll do is add the database driver to the classpath. Next, we’ll get a connection, we’ll submit a SQL query and then we’ll process the result set. Time - 02:48 Let’s start with step one, adding a MySQL database driver to the classpath. In our Eclipse project I’m going to add a new folder called lib, lib for library. In this lib folder I’m going to add the driver that I downloaded earlier. What I’ll do is I’ll just grab this driver. It’s the MySQL connector bin.jar and I’ll just drag and drop it to this lib folder. It will prompt me and I’ll say go ahead and copy the file. Time - 03:25 Next, I need to add the jar file, the driver to the classpath. I’ve set this up with properties, choose Java build path and then I’ll choose add jars. Expand this folder, that lib, I’ll grab that jar file and I’ll have it setup. Great. Time - 03:51 Now we can start coding. We need to get a connection, submit a SQL query and process a result set. Let me just sketch this out on a slide over here. The first thing I’ll do up top is I’ll just do an import on java.sql.* because all of the classes and interfaces that we need are in this package. Time - 04:17 I’ll also just setup a try catch block just to handle for any exception that may occur. Small typo there. Time - 04:40 Inside of this section I’m going to first get a connection to database. Then next I will create a statement. Then from here I will execute a SQL query and then I will process the result set. Time - 05:16 That’s my basic game plan, let’s fill it in with some real code. Here I’ll say connection, myConn = DriverManager.getConnection. I’ll give the jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/demo student, student. Student is the user ID and student is also the password. Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) Tutorial - Part 1

06:58
Learn how to create an Entity Relationship Diagram in this tutorial. We provide a basic overview of ERDs and then gives step-by-step training on how to make an ER diagram with correct cardinality. Entity Relationship Diagrams are comprised of 3 main categories: entities, attributes, and relationships. Entities are objects or concepts that are associated with important data—like a customer, order, or product. Attributes represent properties or traits of an entity, such as a customer’s phone number or home address. Relationships demonstrate the link between entities. Another main aspect of of ERD's is cardinality, which further defines the relationship between entities in a numerical way. Certain symbols signify the minimum and maximum relationship between different entities. This segment is about a very important card reading that everyone can easily learn to do and that is a vast importance to anyone's personal process. It's the three card cluster or the three card reading. It's based on the three figures on the lovers card which as you might remember, the lovers is ruled by Gemini which indicates that this is not only a card of love but it is a mandala of consciousness. The man on the right represents the self conscious mind. That's our every day thinking mind. It's the one that gathers information, that interprets our experience and the one you're most familiar with that's chattering all day long. The woman on the left. She represents the subconscious. She's our feeling nature, our emotional nature. The subconscious is everything we have deep inside us in memory, in habit, and what we know intuitively. The angel above them both is the  super conscious mind and this will be the highest card in the reading. It's who you think you are. As often times who you think you are is very much what you think God is or what you think the define is and nothing influences our experience in this world like our own conception of our self. You know how some people go around saying "I'm unlovable, nobody likes me" and sure enough, nobody likes them. But the people go around can say "I am so lovable. I have friends wherever I go. I can always make friends" and sure enough, they do. Or how distinctive  Henry Ford said it when he said "whether you think you can, whether you think you can't, you're right" By thinking about our self is everything. The first card down of the three is always the center one, always the angel. Why? Because we're also following the position of the pattern of the top three seferat on the tree of life. Kehter, hakma, and benaugh. The divine, the great father, and the great mother. The super conscious mind, the self conscious mind, and the sub conscious mind and together the three are a portrait of you. Before we started this layout because time is very short in these segments. I asked a friend of mine. A young man who lives nearby and I asked him to do a mix these cards and we haven't seen them yet. He asked a question that these cards loves most and what this particular reading loves to answer most, which is, tell me what you think I ought to know about myself right now. Because to understand your claim of identity and how your self conscious mind sees it and what's going on in the sub conscious mind is of utmost importance.   We did the, in order to shuffle these and obtain these, we moved the card round and round the table. I had to make them into a pack. Shuffle them for a time. He was quite good at it but you know you can shuffle any way you like and then he cut the cards, once in half and I took the bottom of the cut and dealt off the top of it. Card number one, card number two, card number three. Let's see what he's got. When you turn them over, remember, always turn them over from the side. So, that you can have them exactly the way the cards put them down. Oh, two upright and a star. We've got two cards that are Earth. We've got one card that is Air. Air and Earth have a little chaffing. Just like Fire and Water have a little chaffing, but more importantly, the card in the center is upright. He is thinking about work. He is thinking about change. Look at him. He's identifying with the fact that he is masterful because the three of pentacles, Lord of material works is upright and he's thinking of change. We read about those pages or look at our segments on pages. They are great change cards. This man is entering a new phase of life but down in the subconscious, the star, such an important meditation card, is reversed. Upright cards are evolutionary and filled with faith and going forward. Reverse cards have fear in them and the energy is blocked. Maybe he is blocked in mediation. Maybe he hasn't really developed the quest in himself because the stars about the quest. Maybe he needs to follow his inner star. He knows that change is coming. He feels that he is getting masterful in his work and he's called to do something. But the star reversed. Maybe he is being a little wishy washy about it. Maybe he's seeking his goals or his d

CAPRICORN 2018 ~ Relationships, Healing, Closure, Travel & Going Within (Lenormand)

28:52
Welcome! For a private reading, please email me at [email protected] I offer the astroclock as a private reading. We can draw it at any time and look into the next 12 months. Use it as a fun planning tool. Very best of luck for 2018! Warmth, LenR About Lenormand’s Cards What comes to mind when you hear "Lenormand Oracle"? An Ancient Oracle? Gypsy Tarot Cards? ... or maybe you’ve never heard about it… These cards are named after Mlle Marie Anne Lenormand, a famous - or infamous? - French fortune teller who lived between the 18th and 19th centuries. She is considered to be the greatest cartomancer of all time. Her predictions were so accurate they brought her fame and a large clientele including members of the French nobility like Josephine de Beauharnais who became Empress Josephine as Napoleon’s wife. But some believe Mlle Lenormand didn’t design her cards and that she used the Tarot and other decks of the time. Others argue that she ‘received’ her cards in her dreams which partly explains their power and popularity. Even as a prolific and controversial writer, she never described her divination methods. If she didn’t design these cards, why would this oracle bear her name? Mlle Lenormand's fame - and notoriety - created great interest in cartomancy across Europe. In 1845, about two years after Lenormand's death, a clever publisher, Grimaud, still in operation today, produced a deck called "Le Grand Jeu de Mlle Lenormand". Grimaud claims the deck is based on information disclosed by a student of the late Mlle Lenormand. The Grand Jeu has 54 cards, with illustrations rich in symbolism. Scenes from Greek mythology, constellations, geomantic symbols, Kabbala letters, talismans, playing cards and flowers illustrate this stunning deck. Over the next years, decks were produced bearing Mlle Lenormand’s name. The 36-card "Petit Jeu" was created as a concise version of the Grand Jeu. The Petit Jeu continues to be the more popular deck today. The simple card symbols made the deck very popular in Germany and Europe. So how is Lenormand’s deck different from the Tarot? Lenormand’s cards tap into our natural psychic ability, which the Tarot often fails to do, at least not without serious and repeated practice. I am deeply versed in the Tarot, and while their symbolism can be enticing, I cannot immerse myself in it the way I can with Lenormand’s cards. The Tarot has a level of shallowness that prevents that. Lenormand’s cards have a mysterious way of going far beyond the single card meaning into far deeper levels. Lenormand’s cards weave a multi-dimensional story from their combination with surrounding cards. When it comes to alchemizing card symbols and meanings, the Tarot only begins to touch on it. And yet, the cards are so easy to learn from our immediate connection with their symbol. For example, what comes to your mind when you look at the image of a dog? Obviously the actual animal, or perhaps another pet, but what else? Think of what dogs are like or what we say about them? “Man’s best friend” is popular. They inspire loyalty and companionship. They also protect and play with us. So the Dog card easily associates with friendship, trust and can simply represent a pet. This simple yet powerful approach to using symbolism is what makes the Lenormand’s Oracle so enjoyable and easy to read. The Tarot deck, on the other hand, has esoteric imagery on nearly every card that must first be learnt then assimilated before it can become a natural extension of our psyche. Lenormand’s clever use of everyday imagery to tap into our subconscious makes her cards immediately intuitive. Her cards just “speak!” You can consult the Lenormand oracle for any matter - from career to love - and you will be amazed at the answers you receive. You will resonate with the cards and draw insight about the many dimensions that affect your query as well as connect with potential outcomes. The Lenormand Oracle is incredibly accurate and reliable. They quickly became my favorite and nearly exclusive method of divination. I can inquire into a clear cut query or just have a conversation with my Lenormand cards. I never tire of looking at their beautifully simple symbolism. If you learn to read them, you can be certain that you will have a skill - and friend - for life that will give you support and insight for whenever you need a smart opinion to guide you and others.

Excel: How to Best Import External Data into Excel & Import data from the Web to Excel

11:16
Get the full course: https://courses.xelplus.com Excel has various tools that can help you easily clean up your raw data for further analysis. Apart from using formulas and formatting, there are two useful Excel features that let you easily clean up. One method is text to columns feature and the other to import external data. The Get External Data tool can be used to import and analyse data from other systems. This tool is also useful for importing data to run your dashboards or do further analysis using pivot tables, etc. Usually you can get data extracts from any system (e.g. “.dat” or “.csv” from Oracle, “.xml” files from SAP, etc.). These can be imported into Excel. Importing External Data also gives you control over the decimals and thousand separator, especially if you’re dealing with international companies. In the US, the decimal is dot and the comma is a thousand separator and in most European countries it’s the other way round, where the comma is a decimal and the dot a thousand separator. It’s always safest to Import it properly with the Excel Data Import wizard! After importing press Ctrl + T to create a table out of it. You can create a pivot table off this one, and when you do, even if you add more data to it, the pivot reflects the new data. Importing Data from the Web / Internet into Excel – creating web queries that refresh automatically: In Excel you can also import data directly from the web. You basically create a web query which you set to refresh automatically based on your preference. ★ My Online Excel Courses ► https://courses.xelplus.com/ ✉ Subscribe & get my TOP 10 Excel formulas e-book for free https://www.xelplus.com/free-ebook/ EXCEL RESOURCES I Recommend: https://www.xelplus.com/resources/

This segment is a variation on one segment we've already done. Check out the segment on the three card reading. There we use it on the one we've done previously on how to use it for the most important question to the tarot - tell me what you think I ought to know about myself right now. But now we're going to do the same reading but use it in a manner of how to use those three cards as a yes or no reading. You would never apply any of this to the identity reading, tell me what I need to know about myself right now because there if a card is reversed it's quite different than here, this is very specific. We're still gonna follow the pattern of the lover's card where the card in the center is going to represent the essence of the question itself. If it's upright when we flip it over from the side, the answer is yes. If it's reversed when we flip it over from the side, the answer is no. The two cards on either side, which are like the man and the woman, show something about what you may know consciously and something about the unconscious. And since the unconscious plant seeds, it may show a little bit about future trend or where things may be heading. But really they're basically there to give more information about the center card. I've had a young woman I know ask a question. We've shuffled, we move them round and round, she shuffled four times, and after shuffling her question into the cards, I had her cut them. And then we dealt off the top of the bottom of the cut. Card number one is the center card, just like the Angel, with following the Tree of Life, Uno, ah, Keter, Chockmah and Binah, one, two three, this is center is always the first card, second third card. The question is she wants to talk to someone who's an employer of hers and she's accompanying them on a travel very soon. She wants to know, can she bring up an important question to them while they are all in Miami together. Let's find out. Might as well go for it. Turn the center card over first. Well, she shouldn't. Change may be coming if she's yearning for it, and in the future she's going to have fulfillment. Look it, the center card is no, it's reversed, but the cards on either side are both friendly in element, earth and water, are the two feminine elements and are always very friendly. Remember, the only time cards bring out extra chafing is when its near one of the only element that doesn't apply well with it. For fire, it's water. For water, it's fire. For air, it's earth, and vice versa. Here we have completely friendly elements. Look how beautiful these outer cards are, the Page of Pentacles indicating an entire new journey and new cycle of life and work, and home perhaps, but I think work. In the subconscious is the Lord of Pleasure, the Six of Cups, one of the most beautiful cards in the deck of true sharing, true beauty, true beauty of life and enjoying the process. So no, she should not talk to this important man right now. Instead, she should just wait. Beauty is coming to her, and she's going to be entering a new cycle. But this is not the time. That's how you use a three card cluster in a particular way.
