The script of the video.
Kamrun- Stop, stop right there! A drunk driver puts their life and someone else’s life in danger by getting on the road while under the influence.
Kamrun - The NHTSA website has shown statistic on how much harm one drunk driver can do. In 2016, NHTSA has reported that around 10,497 people have died in alcohol-impaired crashes, 290,000 were injured in drunken driving crashes. This means one crash occurred every fifty minutes.
Fahim - Researchers from CDC have said 112 million adults were reported drinking and driving in 2010. In 2009, about 11 thousand people died in car accidents. Statistics have also shown that 27 people die each day because of drunk driving, and four out of five drunk drivers are men.
Kamrun - BMW has a drunken driving advertisement, and they are well known, so the message reaches many viewers at a rapid rate.
Kamrun- the text on the advertisement says, “Spare parts for humans are not as original as those for cars. Don’t drink and drive.” A spare part for a human would be attaching a machine to the human body. It would never be the same because the sense of walking wouldn’t be there. The feeling when someone touches the leg will be gone. Everything changes because of one mistake.
Kamrun- consuming alcohol in general is bad for health.
Kamrun- Drinking and driving aren't only harmful to putting someone's life at risk, but it’s also bad for the health. Liver diseases, which is caused by extreme alcohol consumption is called alcoholic liver disease. Frequently, drinking alcohol can lead to increased fat inside liver cells, and lead to cirrhosis. There is a link between alcohol and depression. People abuse alcohol because they are depressed or become depressed due to all the alcohol consumption. Drinking regularly can also lead to weight gain. Consumption of alcohol prevents the person from using common sense and thinking long terms. Drinking too much also slows down the reaction time which in result makes it harder for the brain to process information.
Fahim - Buzzfeed made a video back in 2016, in that video it shows what it looks like to drink and drive.
