Thank you and take care! ====================== FAQ: 1. What materials do you use for your drawings? ****************************************************** I use Toison d'Or or Koh-I-Noor pencils ( from 4B to 8B), Copic markers, Derwent coloured pencils, Canson paper or Fabriano paper, Factis eraser, metal pencil sharper and Winsor and Newton watercolors and ink. 2. Did you go to any art school or academy? ****************************************************** Yes, I studied design and fashion design ( for 4 years) at the University of Arts and Design in Cluj, Romania, Europe. I had a scholarship in Katowice, Poland and another one in Coburg, Germany and a course attended with Gary Tu - a well-known fashion illustrator from Taipei, Taiwan. 3.Where do you get your inspiration? ****************************************************** Basically I am very interested in any image and text that could grab my attention: fashion albums, history of art, books I read, movies I see...In fact, i will share below all my sources of inspiration. Find all my inspirational folders here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/39713... 4. Do you have any links or books you can recommend? ****************************************************** Definitely I would recommend Gottfried Bammes' Anatomy, Barcsay's Anatomy and David Downton's illustrations that you will find here: http://www.daviddownton.com/ and here: http://instagram.com/daviddownton 5. How long have you been drawing? ****************************************************** 30 years ago some desperate parents interdicted their 3 years old child to use pencils to draw on their house's inner walls :). Due to this, and to the fact that all pencils, brushes and markers were forbidden, the child found another way to express: all chocolate received was hidden and used to "decorate" the walls when all other tools were not available.30 years later, here I am, willing to tell a story on every wall there is. Not with chocolate, like I used to :), but in watercolors, as you can find on my shop here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/bijuterra. Thank you, and hope to enjoy my illustrations and videos from your comfortable armchair, having a cup of warm milk in your hand and smiling. 6. How can I send my drawing to you? ****************************************************** For any personal advice you can send me your illustrations or questions here: [email protected] and I will reply. How to draw hands for beginners

05:42
When drawing hands, you will start with the cylinder of the hand. Then make sure you will draw the plateau as having the same size as the fingers area. And I will note these 2 equal areas with X. Each plateau has a trapezoidal shape. One trapeze the small base in the upper part, the other trapeze has the small size in the lower part. The segment between the 2 areas we will split into 4 equal parts - each A segment will represent the size of a finger. Make sure you will use round lines to create the axes for each phalanx. The first phalanx is the bigger one from all 3. The second that follows is medium and the last one, the smallest. Each one of the 3 has a symmetry line in the middle. After drawing the axes, start drawing the cylinders, meaning the primary shapes that will help you draw the fingers at the end. I will underline once again the proportions between the phalanges in this easy formula. We go now to the last phase: the connection between the shapes. I noted with F the front plane of the hand, and with L the lateral side of the hand. Each element should have at least these 2 planes. Then I start underlining the finger shapes and at then end, the thumb. For the second hand, we practice the same steps. Tip: you can easily draw your left hand, or get inspired by some magazines to study classic hand poses in a fashion sketch. Otherwise, you can ask a friend to take some photos of your hands and then all you have to do is to draw after them. At the end of my video, I will add some photos with hands, so that you can draw after them. Coming back to our hand drawing, make sure not to forget the areas between the fingers. In some positions, they are very obvious and you can draw them as small triangles with rounded edges. I am all the time amused when drawing these because they remind me of ducks feet - used for swimming. No matter the pencil used, try to press harder when drawing the contour, at the end. And now, some photos that might inspire you when drawing hands. See you on Thursday!

How to Draw Hands | Fashion Sketching

01:52
Watch more How to Draw Fashion Sketches videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/501950-How-to-Draw-Hands-Fashion-Sketching Learn how to draw hands for a fashion sketch from fashion designer Garo Sparo in this Howcast video. One thing that you sometimes will have to do is draw hands. I particularly do not like to draw hands. I really don't feel like it's an integral part of the garment, it has nothing to do with the clothing, why do I need to draw hands. Half the time I hide them behind the body like this, that helps out a lot. But if you do have to draw hands, let's do it. So say I'm drawing the figure, and she is going to have her arm up in the air like this, just kind of follow that line, give her a neck, give her some shoulders, I'm only going to draw one of them for you, because I'm not that great at it, it's not my favorite thing in the world. I'll just get her torso done, and basically you could just kind of just like go with the gesture of a hand, something like this, or whatever. With enough practice you can get really good at it, but I always hide them behind the body, because I don't feel like drawing I'm drawing hands. So you get your thumb like this, you clean up your arm a little bit with your eraser, I just kind of just smooth out some lines, and then you can get like some separation in the fingertips. This is where I always screw up. It's a little bit like a fin, but later on you can go in with a pen, clean it up, perfect it, that's why we do it in pencil first. And that's basically how you draw hands.

Tips to draw better a fashion sketch in 4 minutes

05:00
The tutorial for today: Tips to draw better a fashion sketch in 4 minutes. We start with the construction axes. Don't over draw them. Just a simple sketch will do.This simple axes will help you and they will be a small guidance for your future costume.Remember that if the shoulder axis goes up, the hip line will balance the figue and it will be sketched in the oposite direction.Use soft lines and the use strong strokes that will create your costume. This is an exercise about composition, accents, balancing the lines in a fashion costume, it is an exercise that will help you be more creative, very fast, As a tip: use a music playlist and depending on the music, you can accelerate your lines, after the beat. There is no use in drawing the details, all you have to do is to have an expressive line, very modulated. For the second fashion sketch start, as previously, with the axes. Then add lines, dots and surfaces to your costume, to make in even more creative and interesting to be watched. A drawing is perfect when you have multiple line sizes - and these you can obtain when you press softer or harder, when you can add pression to your pencils and control the lines. Another tip is to keep your eyes half closed to see where you need to put the accents in a fashion sketch. If the sketch has almost the same "color" let's say, it is time to have areas where the line is stronger or softer, where you have empty spaces or black surfaces. These areas are those where the eye of the viewer stops and reflects, where the eye takes a break. When drawing more figures on a single paper sheet, try to think of all of them as a unit, as a whole. Each fashion sketch can be treated as an individual composition, but also the full paper should be in harmony, having the perfect composition. See those black areas that I underline sometimeS? Those are the equilibrium of each composition and they help you create a rythm to your drawings. At then end, take a look at all my drawings on this page and try to understand which technique I applied and why. The first model is feminine and it has a curved soft line. The scond one has the accents put on the upper side, having big volumes in the shape of a pair of earrings and jewelry for the neck. The third one is more elastic, nervous and it has a bigger volume the the preivous sketches. Here the contrast between the soft lines and those with accents is bigger. The costume is composed by 3 areas that are round: the two volumes on the shoulders and the lower part- the skirt. The last one has a more masculine approach. The lines are bold, strong and they tend to have angles. They are more rigid and they look geometric somehow. The last figure is the accent of this composition. The line is crazy and unexpected, compared to the previous strokes. Try to do this exercise at home, by copying my sketches and then by inventing new ones. Good luck!

How to draw faces in fashion illustration

05:56
This tutorial is for golden diys, alexisaspoon, Memo Chanel, Vandyan Ha, jasmine smith, Doc Hiluluk, Tania Kaur and many more who wanted to learn how to actually draw a fashion portrait. And here is the process when drawing the face, in fashion illustration. We start with the round of the face. Then we add the nose in a triangle shape. After that, we continue with the lips. Make sure to leave the bottom part of the lips in white because usually that is the lighted part of the lips. Then go to the eyes. The size of an eye is the same as the distance between the eyes. Use soft lines and then add more contrast when you are sure you did the right thing for the eyes. The upper part is darker and the lower part - you can leave it in soft gray. There is no use to add so much contrast here. Use parallel lines to shade the part under the eyebrows - where the shadow is. Add shadow under the nose and chin and on the sides. Then use creative, expressive lines to make the hair. It is not necessary to have a real haircut, because, as you can see, you can play even more with the lines to create a spectacular haircut. Then do the earrings and the neck - use lines that suggest a lacy costume. Then go to the chest and will it with expressive lines as you can see in my drawing. Use 8B pencils for more contrast and put some accents where do you need them. Add details if you want and then let's do another drawing. This time we can be even more creative. Start like you already know with the oval of the face. Then suggest the right eye and then the left one. Add the shadow in parallel lines. After that, think of a crazy shape for the earrings. They are not necessary symmetric, so that you can think of any shapes. This time, I choose a non symmetrical hat and I accentuated some lines or the background in order to make it more evident in the page. As about the costume, I played with curves to exaggerate the volume. Use your imagination and helped by our creative tools: the lines, the dots and the surfaces, create a costume as you wish.

How to draw hands step by step ( for beginners )

03:55
This tutorial is a remembering of the steps you already know from my previous videos: the axes, the primary shapes and connections of the forms. As some of you recommended, I tried to reduce the speed of my drawings and this means you will be able to keep up the rhythm with me. We trace the axes and after that the primary shapes - in this case the cylinders, and then we connect the shapes. Draw the axes in any positions you want and then add cylinders around them. When connecting the shapes do not forget to use the modulated line - and for this you need more pressure or a darker pencil - like a 6B or an 8B. Make sure to draw the fingers using this simple rule: first, the segments of the phalanx are gradually decreasing from big to medium and then small. secondly, you will notice the fact that each phalanx has this particular shape that will give you the form of the whole finger. I will draw now another position of the hand, just by using the axes. This will help you see how easy it is to draw the hand in any position if you can draw correctly the axes. Once you will get use to these steps, you will be able to draw the hand in any position, without so many construction lines. Use bold lines to underline the human hand and details. Do not forget about the front and lateral sides, because every object or human part, in order to look tri-dimensional, should have these lateral sides. The last rule is that each finger has 3 phalanx, except the thumb that has only 2.

this time i did the hands first, then i trace my own tutorial so its easy and fast to understand the hand. All u need to know is how to illustrate the basic pose of the hands then go back and do detail on them. I don't find hands that important in fashion illustration, unless its necessary to focus on them. The more you practice sketching them you will get the hang of them, Yes i did misspell (always). For the people that are going to hate on my hands. This time i did them fast cause it takes forever to upload a video.

How to Draw Cartoon Hands (Comic, Cartoon, and Mickey Mouse)

11:36
Learn all about how to draw 3 cartoon styles of hands. I’ll go over the classic Mickey Mouse glove, general cartoon hands, and comic book hands. Want to learn about the anatomy of the hand? Check out the premium course - http://proko.com/anatomy All of my hand lessons so far have covered how to draw realistic hands. I’ve broken down the anatomy and details of the hands and have shown you examples on how to invent them from imagination. But what if you only want to draw simple hands? Is there an easier method for drawing them? Well, cartoons are just exaggerations of reality. To exaggerate the hand, you have to know the hand. So while this lesson helps simplify the hands for you, it’s important for you watch the other lessons to understand the hands. How to draw a fashion sketch like a pro

04:25
I will show you today 3 steps that will help you achieve different skills - when it comes to fashion sketches. First of all, there is the human anatomy for fashion - in my first drawing. You will start with the axes, as always.Do quickly the primary shapes and then the connection between the shapes. This is the first phase of the fashion sketch: the learning of the basic anatomy of the human body. In this stage, it is very important to know the anatomy, the human proportions and also it is very useful to use a soft line because later on you will have to add clothes too. Then, we will get to the second phase of the fashion sketch. With this exercise you will have to reduce your lines, to make them more expressive and to add costume details. Here, the line is very important and also the ability to be creative and to leave your imagination get wild. One of my tips here is to use a dark pencil to have more contrast and strength in line. As about the last step, we will skip all the previous phases, and we will use the imagination of the viewer to fill the blank spaces. On this phase, there is no need to show everything. You will get to this phase after doing a lot of human anatomy exercises, and also line studies. The lines change depending of the light source, as you will see in my next video. The last phase is also very refined, simplified and somehow very close to art. It can be as crazy as possible because this drawing is a way of self-expression. This drawing will reveal your inner you. Try this exercise. And if you want to share it with us, send me an email on [email protected] and i will reply. If you like my video, please share + subscribe. THANK YOU! IOANA

How to Draw a Figure | Fashion Sketching

04:35
Watch more How to Draw Fashion Sketches videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/501928-How-to-Draw-a-Figure-Fashion-Sketching Learn how to draw a figure for a fashion sketch from fashion designer Garo Sparo in this Howcast video. All right. So let's draw a figure. One thing I always start out with a pencil, because you can always erase it, and it's a good way to just get the basis going. So I always start with the head. Just think about proportion as you're doing it. The head, then the neck. We do a straight line under the neck. A good trick is to make an X here for the body. And it's great that we're doing this in pencil, as I said before, because all of this can go away later. From here, we work with a lot of elongated triangles. I'm going have this girl have her hand on her hip. So I'm doing these elongated triangles, even a little triangle for the hand, because you're going to smooth it out later. We'll give her a little arm, hanging down. It can even cross into the hand, as I just did. We'll give her some legs, and you basically segment the legs into triangles. This is how you establish the kneecaps, you do like little inverted triangle that way. And even a little inverted triangle for the foot, as well. All right. Now we go in and we smooth it all out. She kind of has a short neck, but I'm not that concerned, I can always erase that and fix it, so whatever. Basically drawing her outer silhouette now. I'll give her some bust, give her some hips. This is such a great trick because everybody knows how to draw a triangle, and then you're just smoothing over, smoothing over. She's turning out on the curvier side, but I can always fix that later as well. I'll give her her feet. Which I probably want her in high heels. All right. So, once you've gotten this process down, you've gotten it all smoothed out, you're happy with this, you're happy with that, and in fashion illustration you always elongate the form. And the reason why is you have more room to render the clothing. And that is why we make them so tall and lanky. It gives us more space to render details. Okay, now I go in with my pen. I like a nice roller pen, you can use felt tip, whatever you like. And I ink it all in. I hate drawing hands, but I will give a good attempt for you. I'll just give her like a weird mitten, but whatever, you can fix that later. That's why we have White-Out. It's never a bad idea just to put her hands behind her body, because it's all about the clothes, it's really not about her hands. And even if I'm doing these lines kind of feathery, you can always go over it again later with a thicker pen and really tighten it up. I'll give her some calves, a foot, and I'll have her have some high-heeled shoes on. She's pivoting her foot out. I'll lose this calf on this side and give her a calf on that side that tells me that her foot is being pivoted out. I'll give her a crotch. All right, so I've done the basic structure, so now I go in with my eraser and I get rid of all of the pencil. That arm is not pretty, but whatever, I can fix that later. So after a few little corrections, she'll be good to go, you can scan her into your computer. And that's how you draw a figure.

How to draw feet with shoes for beginners

03:08
How to draw feet for beginners In this tutorial you will learn how to draw feet and shoes really easy. Find out how to sketch the anatomy of the feet using pencils. Sketch after my drawings and learn how to draw feet in any position! As I always say at the end of my videos, your comments are very important for me and I will try to reply with a tutorial to each of you who left a comment below my description. This tutorial is for Kyla Verde, Philomena Bulem and Maureen Fredrika and to all of you who asked about how to draw feet - a tutorial made for beginners. We start by drawing two parallel lines. The line from the left part is intersecting a circle, in its middle. Then we draw a pair of parallel lines, but this time they are a little bit curved. After this, you will draw a triangle that has the base parallel with the lower part of your paper. Once again, the 3 easy steps and then, all yu have to do is to connect the shapes. When finishing, just add the shoes, as you want them to be - with high heels for example. Depending on this, here are 2 drawings that show you the angle of the feet. I will draw the same steps for the other foot, and once again I will continue by connecting the primary shapes. Also, depending on the heels, here are two possible positions. Now that you know the steps, I will show you that with my technique you can draw feet in any position. For example, take a photo and try to sketch after it. Don't forget about the three steps: axes, primary shapes and connections. I will take another photo and I will sketch the feet following the same rule. Use a simple, thin line for your drawings because you will have enought time to strengthen your lines at the end. Now simply add the details of the shoes. The last thing I wanted to let you know is the line. Don't use multiple lines - they are for amateurs. A real artist uses simple shapes and then, when he is decides for the perfect shape, he just connects the simple lines. After more exercises, you will see that these steps are not needed anymore. And you will be able to draw the feet- and in fact anything - just by tracing a single line.
