Confined - A short film about Male domestic abuse
When most people think of the subject of domestic violence they assume that generally the male plays the part of the aggressor. Statistically (not only in statistics but in self-reporting surveys) this tends to be the case. But if you think males can’t be the victims, you’d be wrong. Domestic Violence as a whole is an on-going and continuous issue in Britain, as it is in most places across the globe. In recent years ‘domestic violence’ has been viewed predominately as violence by men against women or partners and children. This short film goes against the cultural norm and depicts Dan, a victim of domestic abuse and his struggle to find freedom.

As part of my final year of BA Acting at the Arts University Bournemouth (AUB), I decided to create a short educational film based on domestic abuse and violence against men demonstrating the different sorts of abuse a woman can inflict upon a man, be it bullying, mind games, emotional blackmail and physical violence. Stereotype tends to assume that in such cases (in heterosexual relationships) the woman is the victim, whereas shockingly 40% of all domestic abuse victims are in fact male. It is a very real subject I feel is often over looked, so I created the film to raise awareness for this very important issue. What whould you do - Domestic Violence and Abuse in PUBLIC! (Social Experiment)
While the majority of domestic violence victims are women, abuse of men happens far more often than you'd probably expect. Typically, men are physically stronger than women but that doesn't necessarily make it easier to escape the violence or the relationship. An abused man faces a shortage of resources, skepticism from police, and major legal obstacles, especially when it comes to gaining custody of his children from an abusive mother. No matter your age, occupation, or sexual orientation, though, you can overcome these challenges and escape the abuse. Source: http://youtu.be/cywQhs_6iC4

Speak Up: Domestic Abuse Against Men
A Fixers campaign led by Tamer Maclean and Danny Scott: http://www.fixers.org.uk/news/10236-11208/men-in-abusive-relationships.php By showing a man being verbally and physically attacked by his partner, Tamer Maclean and Danny Scott want others to realise that it’s not just women that experience domestic abuse. With the rest of their team from Kent, they’re tackling the misconception that men are always the perpetrators in abusive relationships, in the hope that it will encourage more male victims to seek help.

Male Abuse - Short Amateur film by Matthew Botes and Damien Cerff
This is a short amateur film about the abuse of men which is not talked about because it is always overshadowed by the high rates in woman (which either way is not okay). We hope that even though we had a good combination of bad acting and amateur editing and filming that this can still make some kind of a difference and it would mean a lot if you could share this video after watching it so that the word can spread that this is an issue and needs to be addressed.

Men, own your role in domestic violence | Christan Rainey | TEDxCharleston
Finding even a flicker of positivity in the wake of an abhorrent domestic violence event seems impossible, yet it happened. Christan Rainey, who lost his family to such tragedy, has committed himself to eradicating domestic violence and engaging men in this movement. His efforts have spawned a multi-faceted solution that includes education, activism, training and prevention. The key to Christan’s effort: put men’s role in domestic violence at the forefront of solving the problem and teach men to own their role in breaking the cycle. This is a proactive approach that shifts from cultural norms and values. His training has been adopted by the City of North Charleston, is used by Charleston County School District, and is embodied in South Carolina Senate Bill 3. A full-time father, fiancé, and fire department engineer, Christan Rainey embodies commitment in action. He is the Founder and Director of Men Against Domestic Violence USA and seeks to honor his mother and siblings who lost their life to domestic violence. A full-time father, fiancé, and fire department engineer, Christian embodies commitment in action. Now, he’s calling men to take up the same cause through Men Against Domestic Violence (MAD USA), a grassroots organization that’s putting violence at home to rest. Hey guys, so some people have asked me to do a part 2 to my previous chatty video, this is as close as it will get to one unfortunately as I don't think I need to say anymore on the actual Johnny Depp/Amber Heard divorce case, I have done this one because people have asked questions about my fathers situation and I felt I needed to go into more detail as a lot of people still don't understand domestic violence, let alone, domestic violence against men. I have used Johnny Depp as an example of seeing signs only in this video, there were never any allegations made against Amber Heard from him or his team, but the signs I saw in him are of emotional abuse. There have been statements to say that she was aggressive towards him on multiple occasions, you can find them by looking for them on Google. Emma Roberts abused Evan Peters, link - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2366343/Emma-Roberts-arrested-domestic-violence-boyfriend-Evan-Peters-leaving-actor-bloody-nose-bite-mark.html Sorry for the depressing video, but Domestic Violence is a taboo topic not discussed enough, especially when it is against men. Over 40% of DV victims are male, most shelters are female orientated and men do not get the same help as women do. If you're approached by a male victim, or if there is something that you CAN do to help someone, please do help them, take them just as seriously as you would a woman, because abuse is not confined to just one gender. And please, be respectful when commenting, whether you agree with what I say or not, I am still a human, and I still have someone in this awful situation. Hurtful, disgusting comments will be reported and removed. Thank you so much to everyone for your support on the last video, I can't believe how ultimately positive the response was. If anybody is in this situation and you need to talk, i'm on twitter and instagram: T: @burnttautumn I: @autumonvenus I hope you all had a lovely Christmas. xoxo

Narcisssim: When Men Are The Real Victims

For those that are going to court against a narcissist, the PDF entitled When The Devils The Defendant has been a helpful tool for thousands- https://payhip.com/b/Kl21 Dating Harley Quinn – Female Histrionic Narcissist is NOW AVAILABLE – https://payhip.com/b/a31b A male target of narcissistic abuse asked me if I would be interested in ghost writing his memoir and after hearing his story I was hooked. It’s one thing to hear about what narcissistic abuse is, to learn about triangulation, blame shifting, projection, narcissistic supply, gaslighting and so many other terms and manipulation tactics we come to learn about on our journey to heal from narcissistic abuse. But it’s another story to delve into the life of someone trapped in a trauma bond by a female histrionic narcissist. This memoir, written in novel form, takes you on the roller coaster ride of highs and lows that are typical in emotionally abusive relationships. Here is a brief description of the book, a link is found below. This memoir opens the door to what my life was like dating a female histrionic narcissist. The beginning of the relationship was surreal - if ever I had fantasized about what the perfect girl would be - it paled in comparison to what Angel was truly like and how she enhanced my life. If I were to compare her to anyone I had ever dated - it would not be fair; it would be like comparing a painting done with finger paints hanging on a refrigerator door, held up with a magnet, to Michelangelo's art scenes from Genesis painted on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in Rome. The feeling Angel gave was a perfect purity of manifested perfection. I quite literally could not imagen a girl more totally perfect, my imagination was stretched just to take in the reality of her. She took me in every way she possibly could to the heights beyond the tops of Mt. Everest in sensual and hedonistic pleasure. She brought me to the edge of the stratosphere where the air is so thin you have to wear a space suit - but the view - the view is all humanity stretched out before you and you can see the curvature of the earth and the blackness of space. And then she dropped me. While reading this story there are no definitions spelled out as to narcissistic abuse, nor what histrionics are like, rather a picture is painted before your eyes. You will see the idealization phase, notice the cycle of highs and lows that are signature to emotionally abusive relationships, you will watch in horror as the trauma bonds can cause a person to make the worst, self-destructive decisions possible. I'm inviting you to bear witness to my journey. What looked so innocent and enticing quickly turned into a covert poison that cost me a million-dollar business, my health, provoked a suicide attempt and left me homeless and suffering brain damage. This is my story. It's not meant to entice sympathy, rather it's a wake- up call for anyone that is in a relationship with someone narcissistic, sociopathic, histrionic or a cocktail of mixed cluster b disorders. https://payhip.com/b/a31b

2009: Ray Barry talks about male victims of domestic violence (BBC 'The Big Questions')
If everyone who watched this video gave us just £1 – or even better, £1 monthly - we could change the world. Click here to make a difference. Thanks. https://j4mb.wordpress.com/donate/ Our thanks to J for supplying us with this footage of an interesting discussion on the BBC TV programme 'The Big Questions', series 2, episode 42, recorded in 2009. The discussion concerned a recommendation by the Association of Chief Police Officers that a national register be established of men convicted of domestic violence against women, the register to include details of men said by at least two female ex-partners to have been violent, regardless of whether any evidence existed to back up their allegations. Hmm, might malicious women use the register to damage former partners with unproven allegations? And might bears c*** in woods, and the Pope be a Catholic? A good deal of exposure - far too much - was given to Pat Craven of 'The Freedom Programme', whose contribution echoed her organisation's website http://freedomprogramme.co.uk in portraying a parallel universe in which victims can be assumed to be women, perpetrators can be assumed to be men. In common with many women running organisations focused on female victims of DV, she showed not an ounce of compassion for male victims, not recognition of female perpetrators. These women are so driven by visceral hatred towards men as a class that they can't even bring themselves to PRETEND to care about male victims. Ray Barry is the leader of Real Fathers for Justice, and will be standing for J4MB in Broxtowe at the coming general election. His media performances are always impressive - whether on television or radio - and this is a particularly good example. His contributions start at 5:23 and 15:42. In the first contribution he presents data from the British Crime Survey, showing the consistent figure of around 40% of victims of domestic abuse being men, which Pat Craven blithely says she doesn't agree with, then changes the subject by turning to Cristina Odone.

Domestic Abuse (Men) Ireland
Domestic violence against men represents the last taboo of abuses in our society, according to support service AMEN. One in 20 men, compared to one in three women, report domestic abuse here in Ireland. In AMEN support groups, counsellor and psychotherapist Erich Keller offers support to men who have been victims of domestic violence. Black men and domestic violence: How to keep your butt out of jail
BOSSes, it is a sad fact that we all have to somberly deal with, far too often the law and judicial system just is not on our side. Especially when involved in a domestic dispute, as a story out of the Pittsburgh area proves. An Aliquippa man is behind bars after his family says that he was assaulted by an angry ex-girlfriend with a metal pipe. Although, he was taken to jail, the woman has not been charged even with cell phone footage proving the assault by his ex. The family says he is the victim of a flawed criminal justice system. Justin Lindsey, 24, has been held in the Beaver County jail for almost a week, facing charges of simple assault and harassment. His mother, unjustscales has been making phone calls and knocking on doors, trying to get her son out of jail before next week, in fear that he may lose his job because of his absence due to to incarceration. Lindsey’s ex-girlfriend, Rhameicka Clark, showed up to his Aliquippa home about a week ago. According to CBSPittsburgh, who spoke to Clark, she claims she asked Lindsey to give her their child back since it was not his visitation time. Clark claims he said “no” and would return the child in the morning. Clark became outraged when she and her cousin drove to his home and saw Lindsey on the porch with their daughter and another woman.
