Data tables and sensitivity analysis Excel

04:27
Our Excel training videos on YouTube cover formulas, functions and VBA. Useful for beginners as well as advanced learners. New upload every Thursday. For details you can visit our website: http://www.familycomputerclub.comData tables provide an elegant way to perform single and two-way sensitivity analysis on your Excel worksheet data. What is a single variable sensitivity analysis? It is the process by which you find out how one value changes based on a change in another value. You may wish to know how your monthly payments change with change in interest rate keeping the loan amount and period of loan constant. Or, you may wish to 'guesstimate' how your profit would change if you reduced on increased the sales price of an item because that might change the number of buyers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfRkXKgNVDs

Oracle Database: Working with External Tables

“External tables can be a fantastic tool for reading files into your database using SQL,” says Oracle SQL Developer advocate Chris Saxon. “However, they can be a bit tricky to work with.” In this 2 Minute Tech Tip recorded at ODTUG Kscope 2018, Chris explains how using the external table parameter override clause can make things a lot less tricky, and, even better, how Oracle Database 18c allows you to create inline external tables. https://developer.oracle.com/ https://cloud.oracle.com/en_US/tryit

$25/$50 PLO Hand Review - Poker Software Analysis

38:20
Hey guys, welcome to my hand history review analysis of a hand I played online with $25/$50 blinds. We open on the CO with AKJ6 suited to the Jack for full pot (our standard opening size). Using Odds Oracle's range explorer we can see it classifies our hand as a ~28% top hand, however understand that hands are fluid and versus a button 3-bet our hand would match up very poorly versus his range. We would do better to fold versus a 3bet given the poor connectivity, weak suit and high proximity to Aces. Therefore, our hand will face the biggest loss possible preflop when we get three-bet since we are folding 3,5 blinds. If we had a profitable call, we would need to be able to win back a portion of those blinds. The button and small blind fold and Lrslzk defends the big blind. We flop a wrap on QT8r and c-bet 1/3 of the pot. He calls, we turn the nuts on the 9 of clubs with the Jack high backdoor flush draw, he calls the turn pot bet. We river the backdoor Jack high flush and he leads for pot. We call and then analyze the hand in-depth in the PLO software PokerJuice. Enjoy! Fernando aka JNandez

A Story of Indexes and Full Table Scans: Finding All the Red Sweets Part 1

08:43
"Why isn't Oracle using my index?!" is a common question people have when tuning SQL queries. In this episode Chris compares two methods for finding all the red candies from party bags he's prepared. He shows how these are like a full table scan and an index range scan. He goes on to compare the performance of these two approaches. He shows when a full table scan becomes more efficient than an index range scan and vice versa. ============================ The Magic of SQL with Chris Saxon Copyright © 2015 Oracle and/or its affiliates. Oracle SQL Tuning - How to Read Execution Plans (Explain Plan)

13:39
In this free tutorial you will learn how to generate and read (interpret) an execution plan in Oracle Databases. See more FREE Oracle Tuning tutorials at http://skillbuilders.com/free-oracle-tutorials. Understanding what the Oracle Database does with your SQL is essential to tuning - and the execution plan is the key. Oracle Certified Master DBA John Watson will provide a brief introduction (4 minutes) - which includes John's tuning methodology, then demonstrate EXPLAIN PLAN, SQL*Plus AUTOTRACE and DBMS_XPLAN.DISPLAY_CURSOR. In the tutorial, John will teach you: - How to read an execution plan - Find the 1st step in the plan - Decipher the order of the steps in the plan - That EXPLAIN PLAN can be very misleading Prerequisites: To get the most from this tutorial, you should: 1 Know how to code SQL 2 Be familiar with SQL*Plus 3 Know - in very general terms - what an execution plan is. 4 Have a basic understanding of the Library Cache (this is where Oracle Database stores parsed SQL statements) 5 Have a basic understanding of the Cost Based Optimizer (this is the part of the database that parses your SQL, creates an execution plan. Hopefully the correct - most efficient - plan).

Airbus on Using Oracle Big Data Appliance to Analyze Aircraft Sensor Data

03:18
Jean-Marc Wattecant, from Airbus Flight & Integration Test Centre Data Processing, attended Oracle OpenWorld 2014 and spoke with us about their use of Oracle's Big Data Appliance. Airbus chose the Appliance for data management on their prototype aircraft. They connected a lot of sensors which are collecting a lot of data which they need to analyze faster and faster in order to meet their test schedule. Airbus believes that the Oracle Big Data Appliance is a significant enabler for them for many projects and will reduce not only the time to test prototypes, but also the time to market as well. They plan to expand their big data project with Oracle's big data mining and discovery tools to go beyond reactive to proactive analytics.
