It's Time To Dump Feminism and Get Out Your Aprons *Spoiler - we have more fun!*
Today we are talking about how feminism stinks and traditional gender roles are the best, more fun, and have the best sex! Check out our Facebook page for daily encouragement from God's Word for women. **https://www.facebook.com/womenwewillbe/ We are an online community of women who have dedicated our lives to Christ and seek to uplift and support all women to embrace God's calling for them as unmarried women, wives, sisters, daughters, mothers, and grandmothers. If you want to learn more about God's view of women and His purposes for them, we would love for you to join us in the pursuit of Christlikeness. Our Mission Statement: Encouraging women to live out what they were created to be, through the gospel, with eternity in view and thus bring glory to Christ and His kingdom. TEAM LEADERS RAE ANNA My name is Rae Anna Beauford. I live at home with my parents and do a lot of cooking for my younger brothers whom I love dearly and I have an addiction to knitting. ☺️ I grew up in a Christian home, but didn’t fully grasp the gospel but til just a few years ago. “The only sin He ever had was mine and the only righteous I can ever have is His.” My life will never be the same. Christ has become so real and precious to me and it’s my hope that I may grow in knowing Christ more and more. I want to know Him for real and be transformed into His image. I believe that men and women were created in the image of God and when each one lives out their role truly, it portrays the full image of God and beings glory to Christ. Men being men. Women being women. It’s becoming my passion to encourage women to live the way God created them to live. True women! Real women! Whatever age or stage of life you’re in, let’s take back the definition of what womanhood is to be according to the Creator’s own words. I hope this page will be an encouragement to you to seek God and desire to live for Christ utterly and completely! For we were made by Him and for Him! CONNIE My name is Connie Beauford. I've been married for 39 wonderful years to my dear husband. We are blessed with 8 children (2 daughters and 6 sons) and 11 precious grandchildren so far. Now that I am the "aged" woman spoken of in Titus 2:3-5, I want to spend the remainder of my days assuring and encouraging younger women that children are truly the blessings that the Lord declares them to be! We still have 4 children at home and my life is so wonderfully busy and full and my heart is so blessed. I pray that I can use my written words to encourage mothers everywhere to rise above the negative thinking that many times surfaces in our society toward children and motherhood. Sure, there are loads of work, effort and time involved in properly nurturing children. Oh, but the joys that come with this loving form of servanthood. Not only do these precious, little missionaries make us better women, but oh the joys that come with raising children. And those joys can last a lifetime! I have observed that anything truly wonderful in life always comes with a little discomfort, effort and labor at times! Oh how this can apply to our mothering! And since each of our children is worth more than all the world...that equates to very, very wealthy mothers! Blessings, Connie DIANE I am Diane Kennedy, and I am a wife, and mother to two wonderful little boys. I love pretty clothes, cooking, baking, and listening to political/international news/commentary😂 I surrendered to the Lordship of Christ over my life at 14 years old. The years since then have brought many struggles, successes, and growth, and it is my desire to see God able to work through my life and make me a servant to all. I used to desire a successful career and a high impact leadership position, but God has used His Word, motherhood, and being a wife to show me that the greatest one in God's kingdom is the one who has served the most. May this page be a place of blessing for you, and may we serve well for Jesus as we take each of you before God in prayer and encourage you with His truth. DISCLAIMER Any views or opinions stated from one of our three moderators are not necessarily the opinions and beliefs of all, and are definitely not intended to support any particular religious group or minister. Because we may quote another person's words, or even translations, that apply to becoming Godly women, doesn't mean that we are endorsing all of these groups' or leader's beliefs. We are endeavoring, as we pray you are also, to follow the Lord's leading and direction in our lives; purposing daily to learn of Him and His desires for women.

Alpha hopes you brought your appetite, because today he's going to cook look a gent. The menu has three delicious choices: spiced salmon and cranberry chutney with parsnip, sweet potato and clementine saute, roasted Cornish game hen with rosemary baguette stuffing, or a sexy and seductive spiced pork, squash and white bean soup with lacinato kale and sage-walnut pesto. Alpha isn't even an 'alpha' in the kitchen. His wife says that she knew he was the guy for her on their third date because he actually cooked her dinner. The meal was pasta and garlic bread and that was the best he could do because the fact is, like many of you, nobody ever taught him how to cook. He can grill meat, but that's about as far as his skills extend in the kitchen and on the grill. If you put the effort into cooking a meal, your significant other will be impressed. You can buy a gift but putting the effort into cooking for them is sexy. In an attempt to be a more well-rounded gentleman, Alpha decided to cook more. So when the company Blue Apron recently reached out to him, he was very receptive. The company Blue Apron is a concept that is super cool. He's heard about it for years, and his wife has talked about it. Blue Apron is like a gentleman's culinary secret weapon. It's is a box service where you sign up, fill out the profile, and set your preferences. Each week you pick three meals. Thereafter, they send you the amount of ingredients you need to create each of the three meals. You get to choose what time of day you would like it delivered. In the box you are going to find the three recipes on little recipe cards with tons of pictures and simple instructions. It also tells you the amount of calories, cook time, prep time, all that good stuff. It's literally taking the guesswork out of cooking an amazing meal. Then inside the box you have this insulated package, and in there you have all of the ingredients for all three of the meals in the specific sizes and quantities. Nothing more or less than what you need to create each meal. All of this is $59 for these three meals, and it includes free shipping which is nuts. If you guys want to check it out and try it there is a special link that will give you two meals free on your first order which is super cool. Alpha unpacks to display what he received which includes seasoning and everything else needed for a great meal. One of the beautiful things about a concept like this is that you save money. It breaks down to approximately $10 per person, and you're not actually overbuying because you're sent exactly what you need. Another beautiful thing is that because you only get two portions so you're not overeating. The last cool thing is everything is crazy fresh with a still frozen ice pack. Alpha prepares pork, squash and white bean soup with lacinato kale and sage-walnut pesto. It takes 25-30 minutes with15 minutes of prep time. Look's great and is delicious. He is so impressed with himself and his cooking ability. It actually was incredibly easy. If you want to check out Blue Apron, it's a really cool concept and company, and it's affordable. If you're somebody who enjoys food and cooking, its a great idea and something you might want to try. If you go to the link, you're going to get two meals absolutely free on your first order! Alpha's going to leave you with this: there is nothing, and he means *super nothing*, as impressive as a guy who knows how to cook. .

CMHS Lecture Series: MEN IN WHITE APRONS Feb 26, 2006.
The domination of a particular type of occupation by one ethnic group is a phenomenon, which has been observed by many anthropologists. Harry Herman reported on his 1978 study of "Men in White Aprons": A Study of Ethnicity and Occupation. In the lecture Professor Herman explained how he went about researching material for the development of the book, which originally was prepared for his Master's dissertation. He acknowledged the success of his research to the cooperation of many Torontonians of Macedonian descent like Zorka Basil who was also at the lecture. Professor Herman focused on the concentration of Macedonian immigrants in the restaurant industry in Toronto. His main objectives were to explain the reasons for this occupational concentration, to see how it evolved and to point out its consequences for the immigrants and for their children. The political, economic and social history of Macedonian emigration and the social and economic climate in Canada at the time of their arrival was also presented. The lecture ended with engaging questions on the nature of ethnicity and how Macedonians integrated into the social and economic life of Canada. John Thomas, president of the society presented Professor Herman with an honorarium and thanked all those who attended the lecture. On Sunday November 25th the society re-published "Men in White Aprons" with a donation by the Canadian Macedonian Restaurant Co-Op. Thanks We would like to thank Angelo Argiro for financing this project.

How to Sew a Pinafore Apron
Learn how to sew a DIY linen pinafore apron for women.  Cut list, pocket placement guide and video tutorial give you everything you need to make this simple sewing project. Shop Kaufman Linen Blend Fabric: http://amzn.to/2ClSRlC This DIY linen pinafore apron for women has been a highly requested project.  I showed you how to make the same apron for girls and I had so many people say, "But, what if I want one for myself?" So, I got to work on getting some measurements together to make a pattern for women. I didn't know if I wanted to add the ruffle for the adult version, so I did a little poll on my Facebook page. An overwhelming majority said they wanted the ruffle.  A few didn't, and a few said to make it optional.  So, that's what I did! Below you will find measurements for a ruffle option and a no ruffle option. Linen Fabric When I did the tutorial for the DIY Linen Pinafore Apron For Girls I bought a 55% linen 45% cotton blend. Prior to making that I only ever used 100% linen, like for this dress and this blanket. I decided that I can hardly tell a difference between the two.  Since the blend is so much less expensive, I decided to go that route again for this adult pinafore apron tutorial. I like the Kaufman Essex Yarn Dyed Linen on Amazon. It is available in every color you can imagine, and for a great price. Find it here http://amzn.to/2ClSRlC DIY Linen Pinafore Apron Cut List Ruffle Option Main piece 41" wide by 28" long- Cut 1 Ruffle 62" long by 8"- Cut 1 Straps 21" long 7.5" wide- Cut 2 Pockets 10" by 10"- Cut 2 No Ruffle Option Main piece 41" wide by 35" long Straps 21" long 7.5" wide- Cut 2 Pockets 10" by 10"- Cut 2 DIY Linen Pinafore Apron for Women Sewing Instructions Start by cutting the pieces from the cut list. Prepare the straps Take one strap piece (21" by 7.5") and fold it in half long ways. Sew the raw edges together all the way down the long edge with a half inch seam. Turn the strap piece out, so that the raw edges, and seam, are hidden inside. Do this by placing a large safety pin on end and fishing it through to the other end. Press the strap flat with an iron to make the seams lat flat. Topstitch on both long edges of the strap (the folded edge and the side with the seam). Repeat with the other strap piece. WHAT IS A TOPSTITCH? A topstitch is a stitch that is sewn close to the original seam. It is on top of the garment, or project, and visible when it is complete.  Its purpose is to make a seam lay flat. Watch the video tutorial for instructions that show this more clearly. Prepare the pockets Press one edge of a 10" by 10" piece one half inch, and then another half inch, to hide the raw edge inside. For the other three edges of the square piece press them over one inch. Sew the spot that you pressed over twice, to create a hem. This will be the top of the pocket. Leave the other three edges un-sewn, as these will be sewn directly onto the main piece of the apron. Repeat with the other pocket piece. Prepare the main piece of the apron Ruffle Option Press the two short (28"), and one long edge (41"), over one half inch, and then another half inch, to hide the raw edges inside. Do not press one long edge, as this will be where the ruffle will attach. Sew down the two short sides with a half inch seam. Leave the top (pressed edge) open for now, as this is where the straps still need to be placed. No Ruffle Option Press all four sides over one half inch, and then another half inch, to hide the raw edges inside. Sew down the two short sides, and one long side, with a half inch seam. Leave the top (pressed edge) open for now, as this is where the straps still need to be placed. Prepare the ruffle (if adding) Adding the ruffle is option. If you plan to add it, press one long edge of the ruffle piece over one half inch, and then another half inch, to hide the raw edge inside. Sew the area you pressed with a half inch seam, to create a hem. Sew a gather stitch along the other (non-hemmed) long edge. We will work on attaching the ruffle later. Strap Placement Take one strap and pin it 13.5" from the side hemmed edge of the main apron piece. Put it underneath the pressed top edge of the main piece.  This is the one that you left un-sewn earlier. Take the other strap piece and pin it 13.5" from the other edge of the main piece. The two strap pieces should be about 6" apart. Mother's Apron 1 Hardwon Love
Mother's Apron isn't 'just' about aprons; it's about a tool & toolkit, habit & uniform; costume & coverall that speaks of women as partners, sages, heroes. In this story 5 women, 3 men and an endless sky unfold a story of contact: between pioneer and land, between Metis and homesteader, between roamer and settler, between clergy and free spirit, between Women's Land Army farmer and Women Pilots. After 4 years of writing, work shopping, wood shedding, re-writing, singing and listening to the remarkable stories of women like my grandmothers who raised families on the land in Saskatchewan, Mother's Apron debuted as part of the Chatauqua Festival at the venerable Lyric in Swift Current. Thanks to James R Page for his stunning skies and Mark Penner for his guitar and tender voice. Coming to a cozy theatre near you. Grab your apron or 'tie one on' at the door!

She has written and spoken widely about Freemasonry and fraternalism. Dr. Newell has published a number of books including Curiosities of the Craft: Treasures from the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts Collection (2013). Dr. Newell’s most recent book is entitled The Badge of a Freemason: Masonic Aprons from the Scottish Rite Masonic Museum & Library (2015) Lecture summary: Called the “badge of a Freemason” in Masonic ritual, the fraternity’s apron was adapted from the protective aprons worn by working stonemasons during the 1600s and 1700s. Over the next 200 hundred years, Masonic aprons evolved in shape and style, with influence from men’s fashions and decorative preferences. This talk will highlight several examples of American aprons from the Scottish Rite Masonic Museum & Library collection, exploring the stories of their makers and users. By looking at early aprons, we find patterns and trends in their use and design that not only differ from today, but teach us new things about Freemasonry of the past. Images courtesy of The Scottish Rite Masonic Museum & Library, Lexington, Massachusetts. Photographs by David Bohl. This annual lecture series is named in honour of R.W. Bro. Charles A. Sankey (1905-2009). Dr. Sankey served as Chancellor of Brock University from 1969 to 1974. A renowned Masonic scholar, he was active in all the concordant bodies of Masonry including the Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite, the Royal Order of Scotland, and Royal Arch Masons.
