The Best Movies Ever Made (Top 40) (Greatest Films Of All Time)
In my opinion: these are really the best 40 movies ever made!!! Unfortunately I forgot to mention some movies like INTO THE WILD, LIFE OF PI or SHUTTER ISLAND (or INTERSTELLAR cause it came out after I've created this video)... BUT: Movies like LORD OF THE RINGS, STAR WARS, FIGHT CLUB, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN, 300, MAGNOLIA etc. or the whole old stuff like PSYCHO, CASABLANCA, CITIZEN KANE, 12 ANGRY MEN, THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY (entire Dollar-Trilogy),VERTIGO, CLOCKWORK ORANGE, ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST, THE KID, MODERN TIMES, THE GREAT DICTATOR, SEVEN SAMURAI, RAGING BULL, SHINING, JAWS, 2001 etc. etc. etc. most of them are great, even very great, of course!!! AND YES I've seen them all!!! But in my opinion, they can not be counted among the 40 best movies of all time only cause they are old, classic and have good ratings TODAY, most of them from people older than 60!!! Why am I emphasizing TODAY? Cause many of these todays "Big Classics" were nothing special at their time, some even have been hated and only many many years later and mostly after the death of the director they become classics!!! So what is the fault of the todays directors whose masterpieces came after the Hitchcocks, Kubricks & Co.?! Who can say what people gonna think about Nolan, Spielberg, Fincher, Cameron & Co. in 20, 30, 40 years (if they are even today legends)? Then their movies of the last years become classics! So what? In contrast to many of you, I have my own opinion and I'm not being influenced and impressed by the years and the todays status of a movie, what only additionally do manipulate and raise up the value and impression of it! And by the way... all the movies of my list have everywhere !!!extreme high!!! ratings too... you can check it yourself (for example at IMDb)!!! PS I'm not really a Kubrick, Lynch or Hitchcock fan! (AND YES I've watched many of their movies!) AND OFFENSIVE OR CRUDE COMMENTS WILL BE DELETED IMMEDIATELY!!! YOU CAN ALSO ARGUE AND CRITICIZE IN A DECENT WAY!!! And for the critics here are the IMDb (by far the most credible rating stage) ratings of my movies: Memento: 8,5 The Lion King: 8,5 Jurassic Park 8,1 The Exorcist: 8,0 The Last Samurai: 7,7 (lil bit underrated, could be an 8,0 as well!) The Elephant Man: 8,2 Cast Away: 7,7 (underrated, deserves minimum 8,2) Pulp Fiction: 9,0 Rain Man: 8,0 Inception 8,8 Se7en: 8,7 Good Will Hunting: 8,2 Million Dollar Baby: 8,1 Hachi: 8,2 Munich: 7,6 (extremely underrated - deserved minimum 8,4) One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest: 8,8 The Game: 7,8 (underrated - deserved minimum 8.4) Gran Torino: 8,2 American Beauty: 8,5 Avatar: 7,9 Léon: 8,6 Blood Diamond: 8,0 Terminator: 8,1 Terminator 2: 8,5 Indiana Jones: - Raiders Of The Lost Ark: 8,6 - Temple Of Doom: 7,6 (underrated - deserved minimum 8,0) - Last Crusade: 8,3 American History X: 8,6 The Pianist: 8,5 The Sixth Sense: 8,2 Life Is Beautiful: 8,6 Pan's Labyrinth: 8,3 (Lil' underrated - deserved minimum 8,6) Titanic: 7,7 (underrated - deserved minimum 8,4) The Shawshank Redemption: 9,3 The Godfather: 9,2 The Godfather Part II: 9,1 Alien: 8,5 Aliens: 8,4 Braveheart: 8,4 (underrated - deserved minimum 8,8) The Matrix: 8,7 Forrest Gump: 8,8 Batman Begins: 8,3 The Dark Knight: 9,0 The Dark Knight Rises: 8,6 Gladiator: 8,5 (deserved 8,8) The Green Mile: 8,5 (deserved minimum 8,9) Schindler's List: 8,9 (deserved minimum 9,3)

H2O: Ralph Steiner (1929) - Classic Short Film
H2O (1929) is a short silent film by photographer Ralph Steiner. It is a cinematic tone poem showing water in its many forms. In 2005, H2O was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant". About Ralph Steiner: Ralph Steiner (February 8, 1899 -- July 13, 1986) was an American photographer, pioneer documentarian and a key figure among avant-garde filmmakers in the 1930s. Born in Cleveland, Steiner studied chemistry at Dartmouth, but in 1921 entered the Clarence H. White School of Modern Photography. White helped Steiner in finding a job at the Manhattan Photogravure Company, and Steiner worked on making photogravure plates of scenes from Robert Flaherty's Nanook of the North. Not long after, Steiner's work as a freelance photographer in New York began, working mostly in advertising and for publications like Ladies' Home Journal. Through the encouragement of fellow photographer Paul Strand, Steiner joined the left-of-center Film and Photo League around 1927. He was also to influence the photography of Walker Evans, giving him guidance, technical assistance, and one of his view cameras. In 1929, Steiner made his first film, H2O, a poetic evocation of water that captured the abstract patterns generated by waves. Although it was not the only film of its kind at the time -- Joris Ivens made Regen (Rain) that same year, and Henwar Rodekiewicz worked on his similar film Portrait of a Young Man (1931) through this whole period -- it made a significant impression in its day and since has become recognized as a classic: H2O was added to the National Film Registry in December 2005. Among Steiner's other early films, Surf and Seaweed (1931) expands on the concept of H2O as Steiner turns his camera to the shoreline; Mechanical Principles (1933) was an abstraction based on gears and machinery. In 1930, Steiner joined the faculty of the so-called Harry Alan Potamkin Film School, which folded shortly before Potamkin's death in 1933; there he met Leo Hurwitz and, inspired by Hurwitz' ideas of utilizing film as a means of social action, left the Film and Photo League and joined Nykino, a loose coalition of New York based cinematographers who pooled footage for use in left-wing newsreels shown at worker's rallies, conventions and during strikes. Precious few of these films have survived, most being destroyed in a warehouse fire in 1935. During this time Steiner also worked on some topical, fictional "pool" film satires, including Pie in the Sky (1935), the earliest film to involve the talents of Elia Kazan. Steiner spent summers at the Pine Brook Country Club located in the countryside of Nichols, Connecticut, which became the summer rehearsal headquarters of the Group Theatre (New York) working with Felicia Sorel and Gluck Sandor among others. Steiner worked, alongside Strand, Hurwitz and Paul Ivano as a cinematographer on Pare Lorentz' The Plow That Broke the Plains (1936) and likewise joined Lorentz on The River (1938) but did not receive credit. Although Steiner remained with Nykino throughout their transition into Frontier Films, he left in 1938, taking the footage of The City (1939) with him. The City, which Steiner co-directed with Willard Van Dyke and featuring original music by Aaron Copland, opened at the New York World's Fair in 1939 and ran for two years. Henwar Rodakiewicz moved from Los Angeles in August, 1938 to assist Steiner in the production of The City, contributing his editing, writing, and organizational skills to the project. Despite his own stated disdain of Hollywood and the shared sentiments of his colleagues, in the 1940s Steiner went to Hollywood to work as a writer-producer, but returned to New York after only four years spent there. Then he plunged back into the world of freelance and fashion photography, working for Vogue, Look Magazine and others before retiring in 1962. Steiner then settled in Vermont, where he spent summers on a Maine island.

Queen & David Bowie - Under Pressure (Classic Queen Mix)
More Queen on DVD: http://adf.ly/aGNvM "This remix is very close to the final album version. The bass lines seem to be a bit more prominent in the mix and the overall sound is a little less muddy. Freddie singing "that's okay!" has been removed right before Bowie sings, "it's the terror of knowing..." It is unknown who did this remix. It is rumored that this is actually an old mix from around the Hot Space time period". Info taken from www.QueenVault.com This video is a new mix between the Wembley version (12/7/86), the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert version at the same stadium in 1992, and the now old video made by DoRo for Under Pressure (Rah Mix) in 1999. http://adf.ly/YhsMw

King of the Zombies (1941) [Horror]
During World War II, a Capelis XC-12 plane somewhere over the Caribbean runs low on fuel and is blown off course by a storm. Guided by a faint radio signal, they crash-land on an island. The passenger, his manservant and the pilot take refuge in a mansion owned by a doctor. The quick-witted yet easily-frightened manservant (Mantan Moreland) soon becomes convinced the mansion is haunted by zombies, and confirms this with some of the doctor's hired help. Exploring, the three stumble upon a voodoo ritual being conducted in the cellar, where the doctor, who is in reality a foreign spy, is trying to acquire war intelligence from a captured US Admiral whose plane had crashed in a similar fashion on the island. But the interruption causes the zombies to turn on their master. --- Directed by Jean Yarbrough, produced Lindsley Parsons, written by Edmond Kelso, starring Dick Purcell as James "Mac" McCarthy, Joan Woodbury as Barbara Winslow, Mantan Moreland as Jefferson "Jeff" Jackson, Henry Victor as Dr. Miklos Sangre, John Archer as Bill Summers, Patricia Stacey as Alyce Sangre, Guy Usher as Admiral Arthur Wainwright, Marguerite Whitten as Samantha (the Maid), Leigh Whipper as Momba (the Butler), Madame Sul-Te-Wan as Tahama (the Cook and High Priestess), James Davis as Lazarus (a Zombie) and Laurence Criner as Dr. Couillie. --- Source: "King of the Zombies" Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia. How to Tie a Windsor Knot | Men's Fashion

I'm Charles from Louis Purple, and today I'm going to teach you how to tie a Windsor knot. The Windsor knot is actually a very simple knot to tie, and it's very useful because it projects confidence. So it's a wide, triangular knot that's very suitable for presentations, job interviews, or cultural appearances, which I hope you don't frequent too often. So this is how you start. You just find the right balance depending on the length of your tie, with the wide end on the right hand side and the narrow end on the left. You might want to adjust exactly where the center of the tie should be at in the middle of your neck. So this is how you start. You cross over the wide end over the narrow end. You bring the wide end through the loop between the collar and the tie. And you bring the wide end back down. Then you just pull the wide end underneath, and then bring it up through the loop again in order to have a symmetrical shape, which should look like this. And you're almost done. There's only the easy part left and the most rewarding. Pull the wide end in front. Bring the wide end underneath, and then slide it inside the loop and tie it in the knot. You draw the knot up in order to fit your collar. So it's a knot that's really suitable for widespread collars. And as I said, then you can just adjust and tighten how big of a knot you like to obtain. This is how you tie a Windsor knot.

James Braddock vs Max Baer - Highlights (Classic FIGHT & UPSET)
#cinderellamanboxing #classicboxng #oldschoolboxing ** NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED ** Follow me on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/jeffjacksonbestboxing/ Support me on Patreon - https://www.patreon.com/jeffjacksonboxing June 13th, 1935. “The Cinderella Man” James J. Braddock takes on “The Livermore Larupper” Max Baer for the World Heavyweight Championship, as Baer makes his first title defense since he won the championship from Primo Carnera in astounding fashion, scoring 11 knockdowns throughout the 11 round fight in 1934. At that time, Carnera was the biggest man to have ever held a world heavyweight title. Braddock was a 10-1 underdog going into the fight. Prior to this bout, Braddock has had tremendous hardships in his life in and out of the ring. Braddock turned professional at 21 years of age as a Light Heavyweight, and had a good run for the first three years, with victories over Jimmy Slattery, Pete Latzo, Joe Sekyra, and notably a huge knockout victory over Tuffy Griffiths. However, Braddock suffered a setback against NYSAC World Light Heavyweight champion “The Phantom of Philly” Tommy Loughran (regarded as one of the Top 10 Greatest Light Heavyweights) when he lost a close points decision. Braddock sunk into depression and his right hand was broken into several pieces during the fight. Braddock’s life in and out of the ring suffers after that, as Braddock piled up huge amount of losses from 1929 to 1933, compiling a record of 11-20-2 with 2 fight ended as no contests. To make matters worst for Braddock, he and his young family suffered from poverty during the Great Depression. Ironically, the Great Depression began in the same year that Braddock suffered the loss that marred his career; 1929. Braddock became a dock worker in order to support his family and had to use his left hand for his job most of the time, as his right hand suffered many injuries during his career. However, the need to use more of his left hand helped to build up strength and power on his left would benefit him in his later career. Braddock also had to accept government relief funds due to the hardships of having to support his family in such difficult times. In 1934, Braddock took a fight with only two days’ notice against John Corn Griffin, a young heavyweight slugger who was a huge prospect at that time. Braddock was meant to be nothing more than a tune up bout for the rising star Griffin. Braddock entered the bout as a 5-1 underdog. To the shock of the boxing world, Braddock sensationally knocks out Griffin in the 3rd round. The win once again propelled Braddock for a chance of a world title fight as Braddock was said to be washed up and past his best, and was not expected to even give Griffin a tough fight much less winning. This fight was part of the undercard of Max Baer vs Primo Carnera, where Baer pummeled Carnera for 11 rounds to win the World Heavyweight Championship. Five months later, Braddock was scheduled to fight Light Heavyweight John Henry Lewis, who had once beaten Braddock in a clear points decision victory. Lewis was fighting in New York for the first time and was expected to once again exhibit his boxing skills against an “old” fighter. But once again, Braddock proved his critics wrong, by outboxing and knocking down the younger, slicker fighter and winning a 10 round decision. In March 1935, hard hitting contender Art Lasky was to face Max Baer for the world title but he needed to beat a name opponent and once again Braddock was chosen and expected to be Lasky’s opportunity to get a world title shot. But Braddock once again turned the tables, outboxing he bigger Lasky to earn a 15 round decision. Braddock-Baer was set. Braddock would win a close but clear decision as he outworked Baer through 15 rounds. Braddock’s victory over Baer remain one of the most memorable and glorious in the history of world championship fights in the sport of boxing. And Braddock’s story of rising from obscurity to world heavyweight champion earned him the nickname “The Cinderella Man” by sports writer Damon Runyon; an alias that aptly defined his boxing career as well as his life outside the ring. In 1937, Braddock faced a young Joe Louis as his first title defense. Braddock knocked Louis down early in the fight but was knocked out in the 8th round with a devastating right hook that left him unconscious for minutes. Joe Louis considered Braddock to be the most courageous fighter he’s ever faced. Braddock would retire from boxing after beating Tommy Farr in 1938 via a close split decision. The amazing life story of James J. Braddock was portrayed by Russell Crowe in the film CInderalla Man (2005), directed by Ron Howard. Check it out! It is one of my favorite boxing films ever. Hope you guys enjoy this fight, please leave your comments, rate and subscribe! Thanks guys!

Capellis Classic Film
Capelli's first ad was directed by Phillip Harrow at Incredible Films. Tel: 07974 435 611 We wanted to create an artistic and fun film that could raise the profile of Capelli's Gentlemen's Grooming within the local community, and beyond, and introduce the style that we represent. We pride ourselves on haircuts for men, that are both classic and current, and all tailored for the individual. The ad is set in the late 50's to early 60's and pays homage to the films Reservoir Dogs, and, The Thomas Crown Affair. This gave us a backdrop to introduce Capellis style, and showcase what we do. The film was a lot of fun to make, and I believe that we succeeded in producing exactly what we set out to make; an artistic and relevant piece of film that showcases Capellis Gentlemen's Grooming.

(HD) 56302 screams through Teignmouth in classic Grid fashion on the 6Z52! 10/07/13
Now available in 1080p HD! Making its first appearance in Devon for nearly 2 years is Colas Rail owned Class 56, 56302, seen passing under the restored Eastcliff Bridge at Teignmouth whilst working the 6Z52 Chirk to Teigngrace log empties. 56302 is one of 5 Class 56s that were modified after their withdrawal from EWS back in 2004 so as to make them more efficient and reliable for use with other private freight operators such as the now redundant Fastline Freight. 56302 was originally built as 56124 and saw several years work with Fastline until being bought by Devon and Cornwall Railways after the company went bankrupt in 2010. After seeing a short period of on and off work with the company, it was bought by Colas Rail in 2012 to help reinforce its new fleet of Class 56s on the various contracts it carries out. The last time 56302 made an appearance in Devon was when it ran down to Burngullow by Nemesis Rail's Class 47, 47375, to pick up a rake of China Clay wagons. Enjoy!

How to Tie a Bow Tie | Men's Fashion
Get Dapper in these Bowties: Tuxedo Adjustable Neck Bowtie: http://amzn.to/1LCBL5u Stylish Assorted Pattern Bow Ties: http://amzn.to/1JVAP4N Spinning Bow Ties: http://amzn.to/1VHUyRO Tok Tok Designs® Handmade Bow Ties: http://amzn.to/1jREZWB Watch more Men's Fashion Guide videos: Hey, I'm Charles from Louis Purple, and I'm going to teach you how to tie a bow tie today. So you can wear bow ties with most typically with wing collars. That works well with tuxedos, but we don't see too many people wearing it nowadays. People wear bow ties with small spread collars, and I think that's how they look best. So let's go back to how to tie the bow tie. So the way you want to start is to have the right hand, depending if you're right-handed or left-handed, whichever is more convenient for you. One hand is going to be longer than the other than the other one. You don't want, depending on the kind of finish you have on your bow tie, you might want to adjust the length so that you have enough width to tie the knot and make it easy for yourself. So this is where you start. The right end should be slightly longer, because I'm right-handed. You go over the shorter end. Pull it out under. That's step one. And you don't worry about the longer side. So once you're in this position, it's pretty much like tying a shoelace. So what you want to do is bring up the shorter side sideways like this. Pull down the longer part over, and it would be the middle of the knot. And now all you have to do is fold the part in your right hand and slide it inside the loop that you created. And then you just gently tighten the knot, and it's like magic. The knot stops, too. You just pull on different ends, the ones that are opposed to each other. So if you're pulling the back end with your right hand, you want to pull the front end with your left hand. And then you start adjusting the knot and making it however fluffy you like to to be. And that's how you tie a bow tie. Pretty easy, isn't it?
