Command: Modern Air/Naval Operations - Operation Lightning Strike Part 7 - The End is Nigh!

28:36
The Command Modern Air/Naval Operations WOTY playthrough of 'Operation Lightning Strike' continues! We finally unleash some kraken on the Pakistani forward air bases with slight losses and prepare for the final strike against Minhas ballistic missile launchers and nuclear storage sites. ► Follow the Series Playlist Here • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5W-wnyMFdEI&list=PL2NGeE0l2kcqVJx7cDuncxN-GgVFwVDbP ▬▬▬ ► Subscribe • https://goo.gl/deIhk8 ► Discord • http://discord.stoicfrog.tv ► Patreon • http://patreon.stoicfrog.tv ► Twitter • http://twitter.stoicfrog.tv ▬▬▬ ► About Command: Modern Air/Naval Operations: ► Official Website • http://www.warfaresims.com/ ► Official Forums • http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tt.asp?forumid=1154 ► Edited description below from the CMANO WOTY Steam Store Page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/321410/ "Scream over the runways of super-hardened Iraqi airbases as your squadron sprinkles bomblets on the pavement or blows up aircraft shelters using laser-guided bombs. Turn back the Russian tide in the Ukraine. Ride the Mediterranean waves in fast Israeli attack craft, trading barrages of anti-ship missiles with Syrian ships. Stand toe-to-toe against Iran in the Persian Gulf. Wrestle the Falklands under your control. Go “Down Town” around Hanoi and spar with the deadly NV air defences. Hunt down rogue nukes in Pakistan before they fall into terrorist hands. Face off with your carrier group against India or China – from either side. Square off against the Soviet Union in the cold war confrontation, and against resurgent Russia in the new multipolar world order. Lead nuclear-powered sharks of steel against the masters of antisubmarine ops. Exchange volleys of fire in close-quarters gun duels, or obliterate the enemy with sophisticated, heavy-hitting hypersonic missiles from hundreds or thousands of miles away. Survive massive, vicious air battles. Escort vital convoys to their destination, or make a last stand against all odds. When things escalate out of control, step up to unconventional or even nuclear weapons. Play the most dangerous game of hide and seek – at sea, on land and in the air - even in near-space. Command is the next generation of air/naval wargaming. YOU ARE IN CONTROL Surface fleets, submarine squadrons, air wings, land-based batteries and even satellite constellations are yours to direct as you see fit – from the lowliest pirate skiff to the mightiest aircraft carrier, from propeller biplanes to supersonic stealth fighters, and from WW2-era iron bombs, torpedoes & mines and the trusty "Mk1 Eyeball" to ultra-modern radars with imaging capability, multi-spectral recon satellites, "brilliant" self-guided stand-off weapons, 200-knot supercavitating torpedoes and hypersonic anti-ship ballistic missiles. Every sensor and weapon system is modeled in meticulous detail. You are given the hardware; but you have to use it well. THE WORLD AT YOUR FINGERTIPS Throw your distorted flat maps away – Command uses a realistic 3D earth globe for each of its scenarios. Rotate and zoom in and out of the action, from satellite view down to the trenches and wavetops. Play scenarios or build your own on any place on earth – from classics like the Middle East, South Atlantic, North Cape and Europe to new and rising hotspots like the Arctic, the Pacific and the Indian Ocean. Use a powerful yet intuitive point-and-click mouse interface for controlling your forces and go advanced with a wide collection of hotkeys for quickly jumping around the action and issuing complex orders in the heat of the battle. RELENTLESS REALISM Sensors and weapons work just like in real life, with all their strengths and weaknesses. Units move, detect, fight and win or die based on what their systems can and cannot do. Electronic warfare and technological levels can tilt the balance of battle. The weather can be your best ally and your worst enemy. The terrain, both overland and undersea, can hide you from the enemy but also can block your weapons from firing. Your aircraft can choose different mission profiles and loadouts, each with its advantages and limitations, and can dash high (speed, range) or scream low (protection). Thermal layers, convergence zones, surface ducting, the deep sound channel and factors such as water temperature and terrain slope may decide the sub vs ship duel. Thick clouds or rain can render your fancy laser-guided bombs useless. Stealth may help you avoid detection, or a jamming barrage may tip the scales when you are out of options. Command’s battle environment is as unforgiving as the real thing – and as rewarding for those who understand and use it."

The Korean Missile Crisis Part 9 - Command Live - Command Modern Air Naval Operations (CMANO)

The bellicose statements from the ‘Supreme Leader’ notwithstanding, its North Korea’s foray into the Nuclear weapons arena that has made the situation critical. The Supreme leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-un, in somewhat typical fashion has been making extremely provocative boasts in the lead up to Generalissimo Day, a day which honors his father Kim Jong Il, the 14th of February. The main thrust of these rants is characteristically anti-western but there was a hint of something big that intelligence communities are taking seriously. True to form, both a successful missile launch and a Nuclear test on the same day startled the world. A few days later, catching most intelligence agencies by surprise, North Korea’s first Ballistic Missile Capable submarine – the Sinpo sortied from the naval base at Mayang-do. All previous sorties have been highly choreographed events involving missile test firing. Satellite imagery produced by the US National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) shows the submarine simply leaving port under the cover of darkness and it has not been seen or detected since. Worrisome as that event is, there is significant evidence that two NK-11 Nodong 2 missiles were removed from the Chungjinsi Nuclear Storage site on 18 February, and the missile launchers for these missiles have not been seen in several weeks. Under pressure from Japan, South Korea, the Philippines and Australia, the UN Security Council was moved into action. With strong backing from both the US and Russia, and China’s abstention an historic resolution was passed. The new US President is making the rounds with his own boastful speeches stating that the US will solve the North Korean Problem once and for all. Meanwhile the Russian President is simply stating that North Korea is Russia’s neighbour and Russia will do what is necessary. The Deadline has now past with no sign of movement or compliance by the North Koreans. Who will act first? Who will succeed? Both Russia and the US are aiming to destroy very specific targets with minimal casualties – hopefully to have no casualties at all – while preventing the launch of nuclear weapons. The clock is ticking! Features: ► Complex multi sided scenario reflecting events that could happen at any time. ► Features the B-2 Bomber, Tu-160 Blackjack Bomber, the F-35, F-22, Su-34, South Korean F-15K and KF-16C, as well as and many advanced sensor platforms on all sides. ► North Korean Ballistic Missile capability both land based and a deployed Ballistic Missile Submarine. Find the launchers before they are prepared to fire. ► Russian and the US are not adversarial, simply trying to do the same thing – First! ► Japan is neutral with some very capable assets, but national survival convinces them to be somewhat helpful to the US. ► Air, Sea and Submarine action occurring simultaneously by both Russia and the US, operating independently but in a very compact battlespace. What could go wrong? ► Both Russia and the US will need to use a combination of brute force and finesse to achieve the mission. North Korea is heavily defended by large numbers of antiquated, but still deadly, equipment. The targets are protected by layers of defence, and many are protected by being buried in solid rock."

Command Modern Air Naval Operations - Under African Skies Episode 8 - Contending for the Air

30:06
The Command Modern Air/Naval Operations WOTY playthrough of 'Under African Skies' continues! In this fictional scenario based around a state-sponsored act of terrorism against the USA, France, and UK in 2017, DrZaius takes command of the initial US and British response to degrade the ability of the former-Nigerian state to respond as a cohesive force while balancing the tenuous threat of the Nigerian-friendly Chinese forces in the area. In this episode, our heroes contest for air superiority against a numerically superior Chinese air force that holds most of the advantages from radar range to SAMs. The only thing going for the good guys is the fact that they've got stealthy f-35B fighters with which to sneak around and degrade the Chinese force. With nothing less at stake than control over the world's busiest trade routes and containment of the emergent superpower, the Pacific becomes the world's stage - and the players are getting down to brass tacks, for this is the game that no side can afford to lose. The geopolitical nightmares of the new century: The creators of the award-winning "Northern Inferno" shift their gaze from the Atlantic to the Pacific and bring into focus the challenges of the early 21st century: The ever-present tensions between North and South Korea reach a boiling point, while China and the US vie for control of the strategic choke points and bases through which the world's commerce functions. Will the US maintain its strategic pre-eminence in the most important world theater or will China complete its ascend to superpower status? The new gears of war: Think the new war in the Pacific will be just like the 1940s but with better bullets? Think again! All-new systems and technologies radically change the face of modern high-level conflict. Network and cyber attacks pull apart carefully constructed communications networks, leaving forces in the field blind and separated from their consorts. Electromagnetic pulses delivered from high-altitude nuclear detonations or tactical EMP weapons fry vulnerable electronics, disarming powerful units in a split-second. Massive anti-ship ballistic missiles threaten to turn aircraft carriers into sinking, burning hulks. Railguns deliver accurate, punishing fire at long ranges, challenging the post-WW2 reign of guided missiles. Anti-satellite weapons disrupt the critical communications & intelligence nodes orbiting high in the stars. High-energy lasers burn their targets with intense beams invisible to the naked eye. Are you ready for the intricacies of 21st century war ? Chains of War is a new DLC release for Command: Modern Air/Naval Operations, the premier game of air & naval combat and the Pentagon's hottest new simulation tool. Twelve campaign scenarios walk you through an erupting crisis in the western Pacific that threatens to bring chaos to world order, while an additional four bonus standalone scenarios take you back to hotspots in the past that did not lead to conflict - but could easily have. The Chains of War are rattling loose. The world is right to fear their tremble; for a new superpower war may prove to be mankind's last spectacle. FEATURES: - A standalone expansion for Command: Modern Air/Naval Operations. - 12 thrilling campaign scenarios and 4 bonus standalone scenarios written by Mike Mykytyn, founding member of the CMANO development team. - NEW! Communications disruption by network/cyber attack or any other arbitrary factor: Isolated units realistically limit their tactical awareness to only what they themselves can detect and engage, and are completely of their parent side's control. Say goodbye to Borg-view of the battlefield! - NEW! Cargo, landing and airdrop operations. Load mobile forces on ships, aircraft and even submarines, and unload them on any suitable point on the battlefield. Platforms are realistically limited by volume, weight and crew on what they can transport. - NEW! Comprehensive damage model for aircraft. Aircraft may be shot down outright or receive damage that will still allow them to limp back home. Different aircraft can absorb different punishment on their fuselage, cockpit and engines. Depending on the amount of damage received a plane may be "mission killed" if its repairs take so long that it misses the fight. - NEW! Advanced weapons for the new age of war. Tactical EMP weapons, railguns, high-energy lasers and more"

Command Modern Air Naval Operations - Operation Lightning Strike Part 1 - Scenario Overview

18:22
The Command Modern Air/Naval Operations WOTY playthrough of 'Operation Lightning Strike' begins! Rogue forces in Pakistan have seized an airbase that houses not only nuclear weapons but ballistic missile launchers. DrZaius plays as the United States tasked with eliminating the threat to the region while keeping Pakistan's neighbors, Iran and India, out of the fight. Sounds like a walk in the park! Command’s battle environment is as unforgiving as the real thing – and as rewarding for those who understand and use it.

CMANO - Under African Skies - France and the China Gambit - Episode 2

26:18
The Command Modern Air/Naval Operations WOTY playthrough of 'Under African Skies' continues! In this fictional scenario based around a state-sponsored act of terrorism against the USA, France, and UK in 2017, DrZaius takes command of the initial US and British response to degrade the ability of the former-Nigerian state to respond as a cohesive force while balancing the tenuous threat of the Nigerian-friendly Chinese forces in the area. In this episode, the French task force bites off more than they can chew and suffer disastrous consequences. This is a wonderfully crafted scenario that I've had a lot of fun playing over the years and if you'd like to try your own hand at it, here is the link to download the scenario from the Matrix Games forums: http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3700311 ► Follow the Series Playlist Here • https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2NGeE0l2kcpq323-WKYRIrt8Lfa54Jag Thanks for watching this gameplay video!

Command Modern Air Naval Operations - The Lost Province (2017) Episode 3 - Chinese Dominance

24:54
The Command Modern Air/Naval Operations WOTY playthrough of 'The Lost Province (2017)' Continues! In this fictional hypothetical scenario, China has decided that the time is right for the retaking of it's 'lost province', the Republic of China (Taiwan). With American CVBGs and ballistic missile defenses at the ready, not to mention the sizable Taiwanese Air Force and Navy, DrZaius has his work cut out for him in this very complex and busy scenario. Not being used to playing REDFOR surely won't help either! In this episode the attack against the American carrier group with carrier killer missiles finishes and the initial strike to degrade the air defense capabilities of the meets with mixed success. Chinese dominance is so far on display. DrZaius fights through a nasty cough and a marathon 2 hour recording session after midnight to bring you this episode. THE MEN AT THE CONTROLS Your war machines are (almost always) not robots; they are crewed by humans. People trained with varied proficiency (from novice to ace), operating under custom doctrine and rules of engagement (when to do what, how to decide, how to react etc.), most of the time making the rational decision, and sometimes making a brilliant call or a mistake. These people often matter far more than the hardware. The very same surface-to-air missile battery that is a worthless toy when staffed by Iraqi or Libyan crews turns to a deadly weapon even against ultra-modern aircraft under the expert hand of Egyptian, Serbian or Russian operators. Subnautica's oceans range from sun drenched shallow coral reefs to treacherous deep-sea trenches. Manage your oxygen supply as you explore Kelp Forests, plateaus, reefs, and winding cave systems. My play through of the newly released Command Live DLC Scenario 'Korean Missile Crisis' for Command Modern Air/Naval Operations continues! In this episode, the preemptive strike into North Korea lands the first blows of the second Korean War while DrZaius' forces attempt to track down the enemy ballistic missile submarine. What can North Korea do against the combined might of the US Air Force and Navy during the first stages of a surprise strike?

Command’s battle environment is as unforgiving as the real thing – and as rewarding for those who understand and use it. The deadliest combat units are only as sharp as their crews. AIR/NAVAL WARFARE AROUND THE WORLD Korea. Colonial wars. Vietnam. Middle East. Cuba. Falklands. Iran-Iraq. World War 3. Desert Storm. India & Pakistan. The Arctic circle. Past and future conflicts in the Pacific, Norwegian Sea, Russian periphery and more. Experience conflict from post-WW2 all the way to 2020+ and beyond. Test your mettle against lethal land-based missile batteries, air regiments, naval fleets or pirate groups. Face off against threats of the past, present and future. How do you measure up against the challenges of modern warfare?

Command: Modern Air/Naval Operations - Under African Skies Episode 4 - Campaign Combat Gameplay

32:36
The Command Modern Air/Naval Operations WOTY playthrough of 'Under African Skies' campaign scenario continues! In this fictional scenario based around a state-sponsored act of terrorism against the USA, France, and UK in 2017, DrZaius takes command of the initial US and British navy response to degrade the ability of the former-Nigerian state to respond as a cohesive force while balancing the tenuous threat of the Nigerian-friendly Chinese forces in the area. With the French task force requesting search and rescue assistance and the Ascension Island forces reaching their strike rally points, it's time to take the fight to the bad guys! There isn't a lot of air cover from our small F-35 contingent on the Bataan, but who needs cover when we have good old American cruise missile power!? The Command Modern Air/Naval Operations WOTY playthrough of 'The Lost Province (2017)' Begins! My playthrough of the newly released Command Live DLC Scenario 'Korean Missile Crisis' for Command Modern Air/Naval Operations continues!

Command’s battle environment is as unforgiving as the real thing – and as rewarding for those who understand and use it.
